Your good Tiger. Web was just being a dick.

was that a "replacements" moment right there from michigan's holder? snap was good and that couldn't have been a designed play

WOW Horrible officiating. Should of been a false start on the fake field goal and the run before the field goal he was clearly tackled in bounds and they ruled him out. Just unbeliable that refs miss this stuff in a BCS Bowl.

They did end the half with a TO, so thats moot.

The ball was tipped by the defense.

Before the pass was tipper there were 2 offensive lineman down field.

I thought the linemen were downfield early too. I also thought the kicker false started.

I'm just saying. It is amazing that those no calls are missed

The line of scrimmage was the 19-20, #54 who caught the ball was on the 15 when the ball was tipped #75 was right next to him.

He did. And I think that's why Dileo took off. I don't think it was a planned play.

This VT defense is much more athletic and stronger than I thought. Gorgeous will figure something out though.

I only ask because I really don't know the answer...

Isn't all that negated because of the tipped ball? Like contact on a receiver is negated if the ball is tipped?

All besides the false start on the kicker

No. they can't leave the line of scrimmage until the ball crosses it. They do get a 3 yard cushion though but that is as far down field as they can go.

You can only make contact with a receiver after the ball is tipped though. If you tackle the receiver while the ball is in the air and then it gets knocked away it's still interference.

I figured that since the linemen were 3-4 yards downfield before the tip it would be a flag, but I don't know the official rule either.

Edit: I also didn't know the 3 yard cushion rule. I still think they were past that, but it was close in that case.
  • merv
Ya, should have been a false start.
  • dave
VSmith needs to get some touches in the 3rd.

Yeah, I was completely thinking of that ass backwards.

More Fitz. VSmith should only get passes out of the backfield.
  • WebFire
    That was absolutely terrible.
  • Tiger2003
    That is a catch.
