Even without pre-season expectations factored in. Take where they will be seeded. S16 would be a great result. Right now, after that loss, they would probably slip to the 5 line. Not sure where being pleased with S16 is reason to not be happy?SportsAndLady;1090662 wrote:Laley, before this season, I and most KU fans were hoping to just get into the tourney..that's how low expectations were coming into the year. Now that they are a top 10 team, our expectations shifted to "final four or bust"
What's the point? Preseason expectations are irrelevant. You have to adjust your expectations based on how well they've played this season, and IU has played pretty well, generally speaking.
Now, if you are saying you don't think they're that good..then fine. I just don't like how fans continue their preseason expectations throughout the entire year. You have to adjust as the season goes along.
Plus, we have gone from 6 to 10. 10 to 12. 12 to 25???? wins. No matter what happens you call that a success. You cant even compare a poor (on paper) Kansas team to what Indiana was (on paper) coming into the year. -

reclegend22Glad to see Michigan doing so well of late; it really makes Duke's win over the Wolverines even that more impressive. If they start finding their outside shot like Beilein's teams of yore, Michigan has a chance to outlast any Big Ten team this season. I'm not sure anyone outside of Ann Arbor would have believed that two months ago.
The Big Ten Tournament should be really quite good. -
Tiger2003Michigan down 4 with 2:36 left at Northwestern.
-
Tiger2003Game now tied big shot after big shot.
-
Tiger200332 3's attempted by Michigan tonight.
-
WebFireLive and die by the 3. I personally hate it.
-
Tiger2003Burke hitting another monster shot.
-
Tiger2003Should be on a foul on N'Western after the Burke 3.
-
WebFireDouble foul was kind of bullshit.
-
Tiger2003Michigan living by the 3's in OT with Northwestern shitting their pants.
-
WebFireWow barrage of 3s pretty much game.
-
Tiger200338 fucking 3's!!
-
MulvaNorthwestern's defense has me a little puzzled. Why invite Michigan to shoot open 3s all game? That plays right into what they want to do.
-
reclegend22Well, there you have it, Beilein Ball is alive once again. Raining triples in Evanston. Douglas and Novak are lethal when given a foot of space.
-
Tiger2003Northwestern only has 44 shots.
-
reclegend22Out of the 38 attempts, how many threes has Michigan connected on?

Michigan picks up an impressive road win in OT. Gotta be impressed by their composure down the stretch, especially with the Big Ten title hanging in the balance. -

Laley23Indiana completes an unbeaten non-conference schedule with their win over NCCU tonight, 13-0.
The last time the Hoosiers had an unbeaten OOC was 1989-90 at 11-0. Pretty surprising.
It wasnt agaisnt cupcakes either. Not murderers row, but certainly not easy. Beat Notre Dame, Kentucky, NCST, and Butler. -
ytownfootballWell, at least you put Butler last lol
