    Weber needs to be canned
  • reclegend22
I still can't figure out why Illinois has yet to arrive at this realization. At this point, Bruce Weber's chair would be a suitable replacement. The program is in a far, far place from the days of Lou Henson and the Flyin' Illini. Not to mention Lon Kruger and Bill Self.

With the Big Ten stage and a rich basketball history, I would think it would be a pretty attractive job for a guy, like, say, Brad Stevens. Or maybe not. He seems like he's pretty enamored with life in Indianapolis at Butler.

Brother(and one of our own on here) headed there soon for deployment, I will let you know how that vacation goes! (He has said he will have some downtime, haha).

I didn't get to watch as the hotel in Miami doesn't have btn. But followed on twitter.

This is such an awesome win before I head to Cuba in the am. Hoping to read about a Hoosier win over Illinois in a week when I return. See you (post at least) all in a week.
Did I miss a very important email? Haha. Have fun man!

Laley's being deployed, or his brother is? Also, you mentioned his brother is 'one of our own on here'..who is it?

My brother. Not Laley or his brother(maybe his brother is too, I dont know).

Laley..didnt get to see the game either but my brother said it was very impressive.

That is a game on the road IU SHOULD win...but they havent had many games on the road work out for them. I see where Abel came off big as well and that is well needed for this team.

    Nebraska is bad.

Gophers-Badgers tonight at the Barn. If Minnesota wants any shot at finishing 9-9 (and consequently any shot at making the tournament) winning tonight is a must. Should be a close game, although I won't go so far as to predict anything exciting w/ the Badgers involved.

HIGHLY doubt it, there are better candidates who didn't lose to Iowa twice, although getting to 9-9 without Mbakwe would have to be considered a very good achievement. He was arguably one of the top 5 players in the conference heading in, and to lose him not even a quarter of the way through was tough.

    Minny not lookin too hot

For a game they NEED, I'm a big surprised at how bad they've looked.

Still don't think Wisconsin is any good
  • gorocks99
Yeah, no focus from Minnesota tonight. Dumb plays all over the place. I don't think Wisconsin is all that good either, although tonight they are shooting very well and when they do that they're tough.

    Minnesota back in it

    51-51

Crazy comeback, especially against such a defensive team. Big OT comin up

As good as this conference looked a month or so ago, it really seems mediocre now other than OSU. It will be interesting to see who can get hot in a few weeks.

It's a deep conference. I wouldn't say it's mediocre. I hate to use the "they beat up on each other" argument, but there are 6-7 good teams, just not really an elite group at the top.

Nice win by IU last night. Abel is starting to come around to be an important contributer. Watford seems to have received the message from the benching at Wisky. They got to the line and are starting to look like a BK team. Drive, slash, pick, motion, make for FTs than the other team attempts, take SMART 3's and knocking them down.

Lunardi has 8 teams in from the Big Ten. Iowa, Nebraska and PSU are the 3 left out.

And someone else, since there's 12 teams. Minnesota or Northwestern?

Ah fuck damn Big Ten with 12 teams now.
  • wildcats20
Northwestern is also out, but on his first 4 out list.

Minnesota is part of the last 4 in.

Okay. I was looking at the standings and figured the top five teams (the ones currently ranked) all are looking good and of the next four (Illinois, Minnesota, Northwestern and Purdue), probably 2/4 will make it in, depending on who does what down the stretch.

I think that the problem with the B1G this year is that although they are deep top to bottom, no teams (save MAYBE OSU) looks like a team that can make a deep tourney run... hope i'm wrong.

    Maybe OSU?

OSU is definitely a team that can make a deep tourney run.
