I think that is a fair assessment.Prescott;1066384 wrote:Burke is in the perfect place for him. He is 2nd on the team in shots taken at 251 (9 behind Hardaway) .That does not happen at OSU.
Craft has taken 122 shots this year94th on the team). Craft job is to disrupt the opponent's offense and he does that.
Craft is probably not the shooter that Burke is although the numbers don't support that premise. Burke is shooting 44% from the field and 33% behind the arc. Craft is shooting 48% from the field and 32% behind the arc(last year he shot 37.7% behind the arc).
Both players do what their team needs and are in perfect situations for them. Would Burke help OSU, sure. But, not as much as he helps UM.His time and his shots would be limited.
As for Scott he was an early sign and a good one. Time will tell if he works out. Hell, he might not even stay with 2 sophomores playing the in the back court. -

lol--ok...I'll take Craft any fucking day, and the next few years will validate my sentiment -

You mean when Craft is still at OSU and Burke has left for the NBA?vball10set;1066422 wrote:lol--ok...I'll take Craft any fucking day, and the next few years will validate my sentiment -

Maybe he will, maybe he won't, but how does that help tsun? Anyway, he's a good player, but he won't cry on Sunday like he did after the Arkansas game, will he?WebFire;1066428 wrote:You mean when Craft is still at OSU and Burke has left for the NBA? -

And if that happens, it could work out for me. Ohio's done pretty well picking up Big 10 castaways (Bassett, Offutt), so hopefully they're waiting to vulture anyone who might be worried about future PT at a bigger school.Prescott;1066384 wrote:As for Scott he was an early sign and a good one. Laley23Cody Zeller added to the welcome signs entering his hometown.

People LOL at me when I said he wouldn't see time. You just don't miss the entire preseason and expect to play unless are an absolute stud. I never expected him to contribute much this year. Not saying I know it all. But there is more to it than most believe. Matta said as much as well.LJ;1065772 wrote:LaQ doesnt seem to be making any progress in the time we see him. Looking more and more like he wont contribute till next year -

Please, lets not go too far here. As most have said, Burke fits well with UM, and Craft with OSU. Both do what their teams need them to do. OSU had no need for Burke with Scott in the bag. Personally, I think Scott is going to be very good. He'd be getting much more time with most other teams. Needs work on his shot. But that will come.WebFire;1066428 wrote:You mean when Craft is still at OSU and Burke has left for the NBA? -

You take your players based on head to head?centralbucksfan;1066606 wrote:Talk to me after Sunday. -

When they play head to head, I do. Now, if we're talking a center vs. a PG, that's another story. IMO, no matter how you take your players, Craft is more valuable to OSU than Burke is to tsun, simply because he plays much better defense than Burke.SportsAndLady;1066619 wrote:You take your players based on head to head? -

Don't you think it's possible that one has an off-day? Or take into account any of the other dozen variables or so?vball10set;1066658 wrote:When they play head to head, I do. MulvaI think Craft is a better fit for OSU this year, but Burke probably would be going forward.
Once Sully and Buford are gone things are going to get interesting on the offensive end. Craft, Scott, Sibert, Lenzelle, and Amir Williams are all somewhat offensively challenged.
Thomas can step into a go-to scorer role I think. Thompson is a good slasher and hopefully LaQ will develop and present an outside threat, but I think things could get ugly at times next year. -

Matta needs another "Oden-like" class for when Bu and Sully leave.Mulva;1066772 wrote:I think Craft is a better fit for OSU this year, but Burke probably would be going forward.

Apparently they will have only 1-2 spots. -

I guess that makes sense taking 5 guys in the '11 class.LJ;1066811 wrote:Apparently they will have only 1-2 spots.
Do you know who they're targeting w/ those 1-2 spots? -

I knunderstand what you're saying, but since they're playing each other on Sunday and will be guarding one another (I assume), then it's natural to use that as a measuring stick. If Burke has an 'off day', I will attribute that to Craft's defense. If Craft has an 'off day', I'll attribute that to Burke's offense getting the best of him. Burke is where he should be, and playing well. If I had to choose between them? It's Aaron Craft, hands down.SportsAndLady;1066708 wrote:Don't you think it's possible that one has an off-day? I just don't think one game against each other is really going to judge who is better, but that's just me -

Where does Ohio State stand with Tony Parker, Amile Jefferson and Anthony Bennett?
- Steve from Rockland
At this moment appears that Ohio State is in the best position with Parker. Ohio State has been considered the leader over the long haul for Parker, and there is no reason to feel that there has been a change.
North Carolina State did have the momentum with Jefferson going into the early signing period. Coach Gottfried and company, however, weren't able to secure his signature. His visit to a Villanova game at the end of the early signing period created a stir that Jefferson might very well stay in his hometown for college. Ohio State did get an official visit from Jefferson, but there hasn't been a lot of buzz surrounding Jefferson and Ohio State.
Bennett is one of the tougher 2012 recruits to get a gauge on. He is considering nine schools, one of which is Ohio State. Recently, he visited Kentucky after his high school played in Lexington. Bennett won't embark on his official visits until likely after the season, so it will be a while before we get a better feel on Bennett's recruitment. -

Its actually a great game match-up wise for IU. I think IU will lose by about 7. They just arent playing well right now. If they find their defensive mojo again, we could have an upset on our hands.SportsAndLady;1066968 wrote:Call me crazy, but I think Indiana wins @ Wisconsin tonight. -
