Another overrated Big East team. I wouldn't be surprised if Cinci pulls an SEC and moves up in the rankings after a loss.

I've also followed this team over the years. The crazy thing is Lentsch's 15 threes were still four behind former Grinnell star Jeff Clement's all-NCAA division single-game record of 19. (Granted, Clement shot considerably worse than did Lentsch, as it took Clement 52 attempts on his record setting night in 1998.)

David Arsenault's program can score and score in bunches.

Go back and get the facts. They were not the same. Indiana had 1 player return for Creans first year....a fucking walk on. You sound like you don't know what your talking about. IU lost the entire team o transfers or NBA. The sanctions were similar....that's it. IU was a train wreck situation.

Just saying that he has been rebuilding over there for a long time and they still don't appear to be ready to take that next step. He's been getting somewhat of a pass. Hard to believe that Butler has gone to the National Championship twice over the past couple of years while Indiana has struggled so mightily.

Ohio State loses a ton of players each year too. That's what happens in college basketball. You lose players, often after only one season to the NBA or transfer. And then you replace them with other good players. Sometimes you have a down year, but most programs are able to replenish the squad with new talent.

Did I just read that Cincy lost to Presbyterian? The same Presby team that lost to Duke by 40 or something. WOW

The Old Dominion Monarchs playing #2 Kentucky tough late in the second, trailing just 50 to 46 with seven minutes left in the Tip-Off Classic championship.

I suspect the Wildcats will pull away in the final couple of minutes, but it's been a pretty good game. Very physical.

Kentucky takes the Tip-Off title with a 62-52 win over ODU.

St. Louis beat up on Washington today. 13 point win, but they were up 50-25 at halftime.

Looked like a team on the rise 2 years ago. Sucked last season. Maybe Majerus has them back on track.

Didn't recognize Blaine Taylor(ODU coach) without the 'stache.

As a Kentucky fan, I find this funny.

The funny part is that's all because of one man, Christian Laettner, who single-handedly relegated "The Unforgettables" to a-nice-little-story-that-was. Had they won the championship for Kentucky that year, it would probably be the most celebrated Kentucky team in history. As it stands, however, they are tremendous interview subjects for Duke documentaries.

Maui kicks off in 10 minutes with Memphis/Michigan. I don't know if either of those teams is as good as their ranking.
  • reclegend22
Memphis has a lot of elite athletes, as the Tigers always do, and I think by the end of the year could easily live up to their ranking and more. Will Barton and Joe Jackson make up one of the better one-two tandems in the country, imo. They helped put it to Belmont, which is probably one of the top two or three mid-major teams in the country this season. Pastner hasn't really missed a beat since Calipari departed M-Town.

As for Michigan, I'm looking forward to see what they bring today and if they are ready to build off of the great strides they made last season after nearly upsetting Duke in the second round of the NCAAs.

Slow start for Memphis thus far, but that's a credit to Michigan. The Wolverines are playing pretty well.

If Duke is able to get past Tennessee, I think the Blue Devils will have their hands full with either of these two long, quick teams. It would be a very good test for Duke prior to heading to play at OSU.

So pissed KU/Georgetown is at midnight tonight lol

When he's implemented it, Beilein's zone has really confused Memphis and slowed down their athleticism considerably. The Tigers' propensity for poor outside shooting has really hurt them today when they've gotten looks from the corner against the 1-3-1. They just aren't a very good shooting team from the perimeter.

Michigan looking good, up seven at the break.

When speaking of Memphis' Tarick Black, Jimmy Dykes just said, "Look at that body. Just once in my lifetime, I'd like to walk down the beach of Maui with a body like that."

That's an extremely weird cannibal thing to say.

I hope that led to a really awkward moment.

I wear my "I Still Hate Laettner" shirt regularly.
