UK has 32 points in the paint out of 34 thus far against Vandy.

John Jenkins is heating up for Vandy. 1 point game.

Don't disagree. But who in the Big12, outside of KU, can you COUNT on to be consistantly good year in and year out? Litterally no one else has any kind of bball tradition at all. There is no true competative rival to KU to really challenge them. No one has really built a sustained program to compare to KU consistantly in the past 10yrs. That is my point. Again, its a great accomplishment, certainly. But I don't view it as "WOW". Not going to get into a pissing match here. I have my opinion, u have urs.

UK goes on to beat Vandy by 9, 83-74. Davis with a HUGE game. Kid is scarey good. Jones with his typical no show in big game. UK just has too much talent for anyone in SEC to compete against. Vandy gave it as good a run as they could.

You're gonna get in a pissing match when you sound retarded.

Who in the ACC has done ANYTHING over the past decade or so? Outside of that really good Maryland team, the ACC has been Duke and UNC.

The Big 12 has plenty of teams with sustained success over Kansas' streak. Kansas State is good year in and year out. Missouri has had some very good teams, they just won the big 12 tourney a couple years ago over really good Kansas and K-State teams. Texas has been bad the last 2 years, but they're usually very tough and in the top 25. Surprisingly one of their worst years was with Kevin Durant. Oklahoma w/ Blake Griffin. Oklahoma State earlier in the decade had very good teams, they obviously have fallen off the face of the earth without Eddie Sutton.

Look, I've already admitted the Big 12 isn't great. They haven't been the best conference in any single year over this stretch. But there is always 2-4 very good teams outside of Kansas, and they are always a top 4 conference, sometimes the second best.

I think it's fair to say NPOY comes down to today. Davis just had a sick game. T-Rob has a national TV game against Mizzou to counter.

If Vanderbilt plays that hard consistently, especially on defense, you can see why they were thought of so highly coming in. They went punch for punch with UK almost the entire time. Nobody does it at Rupp.

However, typical Stallings though. Can he keep them hyped up in the NCAA Tournament where they have really struggled lately?

Definitely. Been a while since the race was this close for NPOY. YOu can't go wrong with Davis or T-Rob, imo. Today is very important for both's chances. Davis had a huge game already. T-Rob can't get a little lead with another 25 and 15 against Mizery.

Lol not trying to be a dick here, but I got a good chuckle at Vandy playing so well and why they were thought of so highly coming into the season..because of a 10 point loss :D SEC! SEC!
  • Azubuike24
It was closer than 10, it was 4-6 the entire game. I'm not touting them any more than just "I admired their game today" because until they do it in March, it's meaningless.
  • SportsAndLady
I just hate Vandy because I alwyas think they have "it" and pick them to go on a deep tourney run...then they fuckin lose to Murray State lol

Iowa State now a lock? after a win in Manhatten vs a hot KSU team.
  • Azubuike24
Yep. Although it's not a big story nationally, this is a huge season for Stallings. He's going to be seeded likely on the 5-8 line, meaning he's going to be an underdog at the latest in round 2 (technically round 3 now, if they get there). Maybe that's good, but the pressure is on.

    Most disappointing teams this year?

Texas A&M, Illinois, Alabama, UCLA, others?
  • Azubuike24
Erase LSU from the conversation. Blown out by Ole Miss.

Arizona can't afford a loss at home to UCLA.

    Pitt, UConn, Nova, Memphis, Arizona.

St. Louis with an inexcusable loss to Rhode Island. The game against X now becomes a must win for both teams. NC State in OT with Clemson.

Big day in the CAA with Drexel @ ODU and George Mason @ VCU.

It doesn't mean anything at all, especially at this time of year, but this is always nice to hear.
It’s around this time every year when we start to see some of the top players in the country swear they’re returning to college next season. And then, come April, they go pro anyway.

As a result, most people took Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s comments after Kentucky’s win over Vanderbilt with a grain of salt.

“I’m graduating here. I’m not going nowhere. I’m staying at Kentucky,” Kidd-Gilchrist said, according to Brett Dawson of Rivals.com. “I’m dead serious. I don’t know why y’all laughing.”

It wouldn't shock me. That's the kind of person MKG is.

Drexel wins at Old Dominion. 25 wins and at least a share of the CAA title, they are an NCAA lock IMO.
Texas needs OT to beat Texas Tech. 18-11, 8-8, still at Kansas, they are as bubble as it gets.
Seton Hall struggling at home against Rutgers. They can't lose.
  • Mulva
NC State lost. They need a miracle at this point.

Texas survived in OT @ Texas Tech, so they stay in the bubble picture.

MSU up 3 @ Bama. Pretty crucial game for both teams.
  • Laley23
Doesnt Cal give an honest opinion to his players. Not that he pushes them out, butI thought he says "go" if they are a top pick. MKG is a top 10 pick. Not that he wont stay, but if he does, wow.
  • SportsAndLady
No way he stays all 4 years lol no.fucking.way.
  • Azubuike24
I'd think it would be more of a MKG decision. Cal told Terrence Jones to leave last year. He chose not to. MKG could be a top 3 pick. He has "it." The unmeasurables that you can guarantee he will give you 100% of what he's capable of in his career.

Rutgers/Seton Hall in OT. Could be a great day for S&L...

    Haha

I don't care about RU anymore, I'm not there anymore :D
  • Azubuike24
Don't lie. You're rooting for them to ruin Hall's season.
