Exactly
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PEOPLE... SLEEPER IS A FUCKING POSER! HE IS NOT... let me repeat... NOT AN OSU FAN. IN EVERY SINGLE POST OF HIS, HE HAS UNDERTONES OF 'OSU ARROGANCE' as if the program can do no wrong. He's clearly flaming.I wish I would share sleeper's optimism here, but I am feeling the polar opposite way ...
It amazes me how many people haven't caught on to this bastard. -

Yeah I figured it was the general consensus that Sleeper is just a pot stirring troll and shouldn't be taken seriously. I just breeze past his posts. I suggest everyone do the same.. -

thedynasty1998It amazes me that people aren't talking about the fact that Tressel retired. OSU is still paying him. If he was fired they could have talked tough about getting rid of him, but they didn't.

You need to read the release by OSU. Ohio State said the sought out the resignation and Tressel Accepted.... Tressel would still be the coach if OSU wanted him there. -

Yeah I'm aware. What would you like to talk about? Its bullshit, but OSU brought up the resignation. -

I did. But they supported him far too long and allowed him to retire. Why didn't they just fire him? -
dat dudeA new OSU player will be serving a 5 game suspension in 2011 as well. He has not been identified yet.

BR1986FBMichigan fans are overturning cars and setting stuff on fire in Ann Arbor at the announcement of their 2010 "victory."

I didin't think he should be fired when I first heard the press confrence and the stuff about federal investigation. But when the actual emails were released I thought he should go. It was pretty obvious kids were doing stupid shit and he didn't report it. There are just a lot of people that need convinced in order to let a man of Tressel's caliber go for something that to some people seemed like he did nothing wrong. (If you bought his story about the investigation etc). In time and after a lot of media pressure they did. Now pryor is gone, tressel is gone, all the other offenders got their punishment, 2010 is wiped out. All that is left is NCAA abiding people. Our compliance is the one that caused the emails and reported them to the NCAA. There were no lack of institutional control. No issues with compliance and cars. Just a bunch of ESPN execs with an agenda. In the end they did the right thing, once everyone realized what he had really done. I actually think they could get probation and thats it. -

Please be Joe Bauserman! I may have to call in an "anonymous tip" that I saw him rocking a new tattoo last weekend -
Devils AdvocateDamn.... back to no BCS wins against SEC schools.
If they are reversing the wins from last year, Does that mean they get the Loss back from Purdue? -

This is going to be the most annoying, played out joke out there.
Everyone knows OSU beat Arkansas in January, who cares about record books. -

Purdue? -

I read (and this may be VERY wrong, so if someone knows for sure, please chime in) that OSU must vacate all wins, but doing that does not change them to losses, and does not add victories to the other schools. In other words, OSU's record for last season will now be 0-1, and none of the teams that they beat on the field would get to add a win to their records. Is this true? -

Yes, vacated games are treated as if they never happened in the first place.BigAppleBuckeye;824761 wrote:I read (and this may be VERY wrong, so if someone knows for sure, please chime in) that OSU must vacate all wins, but doing that does not change them to losses, and does not add victories to the other schools. I thought the ESPN article said one game? -
OneBuckeyeI thought I read OSU is already appealing the suspension for that player.

Sorry... just was a little agitated when I thought a good poster was being conned over by a POS poster. Glad to know we're all good. -

This amazes me too. And I think this will come back to bite OSU in the ass. I think the NCAA will look at this and definitely smell some shady business. How are we still paying the man?! -

Correct. -

I think they applied for his reinstatement. Pretty sure they have to do that for all NCAA suspensions. -
the_systemSo ESPN is adding in that OSU has also waived the $250,000 fine? (didn't see that in the dispatch article).

It's like OSU wants the NCAA to just stomp on their nuts. -
ccfanMy feelings from the get go of all this was that if the rings/pants etc mean nothing more to you than a tatt or a little cash, go find a spot on the bench....therefore my team would have lost the Sugar Bowl and then some w/o the key players on the field.
I doubt the fans down south are jumping up & down over a win on paper nor would they have much to brag on, over a W minus key players on the opposing side of the field, had the game been played that way.....I wouldn't.
