All I'm saying is that it's not out of the realm of possibility that Storm autographed some stuff at the parlor and picked up a few extra bucks doing it.
Is it also within the realm of possibility that Mr. Klein had a face-to-face with his son and believes what he was told?

It's also not out of the realm of possibility that he didn't give every bit of memorabilia he got to his dad.

And I don't know if the players at ND have their memorabilia. If you're so interested...start your own investigation and write an article about it yourself.
Do any ND players have BIG or MANY tats? If so they have cheated.....The kind of tats you see on LARGE athletes, if of quality, cost upwards of $1000. Does the general population of students have tats like BIG athletes??? NOPE....they don't have $1000.

You're repulsive to the human race. Also, glad you arent smart enough enough to know what a backwards question mark stands for

Storm's father is doing what ANY father would do...protect his son. Tressel did what any father would do....protect his kids.

Ya...because no son has ever successfully lied to his parents before to avoid getting into trouble...

Like I said, I'm not trying to stir up shit. I knew you guys would jump on me for this. But just like you guys won't take the word of the author of the article or his source, I'm inclined to believe that a father may be a little biased when it comes to his son.

It kind of makes me sad the skepticism you have in a son being truthful to his father. Guilt maybe? Not trying to stir shit up.

Yeah, if I wrote an article I'd have more credibility than the author of the SI article. Anyone can start rumors is my point, and its hilarious how things come out of nowhere and rumors start becoming the "truth".

So it's fine to be skeptical of the author and his source. But it's not OK to be skeptical of a dad who would do anything to protect his son? Got it. By the way, is it hard getting through life with scarlet and gray blinders on.

And yes, I have lied to my dad to avoid trouble. I have since come clean about it. No guilt at all. Any person that says they haven't lied to their parents to get out of trouble is full of shit.

Again. Not saying that it's the "truth." But it's also very naive to think that just because Klein's dad says it's not true does not mean that the claims are actually false.

I dont have any on, I wouldnt know. A father and son is different than a reporter and known felon. How can you not see that?

Guess im full of shit. Ive lied, but never to my dads face about something. I respect him more than that. Even when I was little I always came clean

SMH. So my claim about ND selling memorabilia has substance because its naive to believe the claim is actually false? That's my point.

I do see it. But how do you not see that a father would do anything to protect his son...including releasing a statement like this.

And good for you. I'm glad you never once told a lie to your parents.

Maybe Storm was brought up that way too. Maybe he lived in a house where he didn't lie to his parents. But now that he's been around Tressel all this time, he has learned from him that lying and covering up to save your own ass is how things are supposed to be done.

Now you are stretching to reinforce your opinion. Its getting kind of ridiculous.

What current ND player has accomplished anything to receive memorabilia? :)

I was making a joke with the Tressel reference. The whole situation got started because he lied...hence the connection.

My point still remains. Forgive me if I take Mr. Klein's defense of his son with a grain of salt. I know if it were my kid mentioned, I would be doing the same thing that Storm's dad is doing right now. Like I said in my initial post, I hope that Mr. Klein is right and that Storm did nothing wrong. I also hope that John Simon was wrongly implicated, too. But I'm not going to see a father's defense of his son and say, "well shit...nevermind...clearly the kid didn't do anything." Just like I didn't read the article and say, "well shit...Klein and Simon absolutely did it."

I'm sure they give items to players even if they lose a bowl game. Plus at ND, if you get more than 6 wins they probably get gold helmets or something that delusional Domers would pay for.

This thread has been a big fail. Storm's Dad vs Felon (that the reporter probably paid off). No other evidence. I would be livid if someone published my name with hearsay as the only "evidence".

Tressel did no such thing. This is the biggest misconception of all.

Klein's dad better not be bluffing. I really hope he files a lawsuit if his son indeed had no dealings with the parlor.

I would hope that Storm Klein is smart enough not to lie about this. His coach just lost his job for lying and the NCAA is in town investigating. Common sense tells me that Storm Klein didn't lie to his dad. I don't think most sons would set their fathers up to look foolish, which is exactly what Storm Klein would be doing if he lied about this to his father.
But how do you not see that a father would do anything to protect his son...including releasing a statement like this..
My father would never knowingly lie to cover my ass.

A lawsuit isn't likely. The only satisfaction the Klein's might get is a retraction.
