    "Why would this pattern exist? I’m sure it’s a combination of reasons, but I think the main underlying factor might be how close the game is. Those negative corners should be where the blowouts are concentrated, while the positive areas are between more closely matched teams. It seems natural that either A) offenses play a little sloppier once a game is lopsided, or B) once the scrubs take the court, their poor shooting and execution lowers offensive efficiency.

    Hopefully soon I can take a look at the numbers from other years and see if the pattern is consistent."

    I don't know the answer, but I do have a question who was the last national champion who played exclusively with a white point guard? (Jerry McNamara was a SG, and Jon Scheyer, well if you think he is a true PG well we can agree to disagree).

    What lack of lateral quickness?? According to Matta and basketball analysts who have watched Craft play his lateral quickness is exceptional. I tend to agree.

    What this says is that when both the offense and the defense were very good or very bad, the offense did better than you’d expect. On the other hand, when there was a severe mismatch – either the offense was way better than the defense, or the defense was way better than the offense – the offense did worse than expected. (Keep in mind that the quality of the offense/defense should already be taken into account by the formula).

    I guess will see, and your statement that Craft doesn't have lateral quickness basically because he is white is assinine. Out of all the OSU games you "watched", tell me what PG was able to blow by Craft repeatedly?

    I am taking Craft defensively against any PG in the country imo. They will need an insane shooting performance like Taylor, who was shut down in the second game.

    OSU beats UNC by 10+.

    I won't continue to argue with buckeye fans about their purported weaknesses. It is an impossible proposition to suggest such an idea on this board. Will wait till March and when they bow out of the tournament, I won't gloat. Just congratulate them on a fine season.

    If they do win the title, I will leave this board all together and will go back to hoping Yahoo Sports continues to uncover 10.1 violations within the buckeye football program.

    Its funny, I never really disliked OSU until this year. Reading this board all season has turned me.

    Welcome to the party, swami. I've been on board for 10+ years and it only gets worse. At one time, I think I had less disdain for Carolina.. But I live in-state.

    Second time I have heard this today from someone on here(other was in private). The huddle and fans that are friends also lead me to turn, the OC only puts it further.

    You wrote that Craft's lack of lateral quickness would hurt OSU. We are just asking why you think that is the case when Matta and other basketball experts claim that Craft has exceptional lateral quickness. It isn't an argument , it is a debate and you need to back up your belief with something other than "I think".
