That is hard to say, but losing Bell is a huge hit because he was looking really good in the spring and I suspect he would be the third LB. Klien and Whiting are studs as well and I don't see Grant passing them up this year. Hopefully Bell doesn't transfer because he still has a great opportunity at OSU and he is the real deal.
He broke a team rule for the 3rd time and that is the reason for his suspension. He broke it the second time and missed the sugar bowl and the first game of 2011 for it. Kid needs to get his off the field issues straight. Not sure what team rule it is, haven't heard speculation either. -

I've heard that it's because he has failed a random drug test for the third time. It's only speculation, however, as OSU will never make the team rule public.
But I agree that Whiting should get a good look at the third LB. The only good thing is that LB is probably the deepest position at OSU, right up there with RB. -

Although I think Dunn will eventually sign with the Buckeyes, I don't think it would be that terrible should he go elsewhere. Our backfield is crowded as is, not including 2012 commit Warren Ball (below). The RB position is so deep.

OneBuckeye^^^ Holy crap that looks like someone went into photoshop and blew up his legs and arms.
On a related note. Benny McGowen a stud OL from Centerville whom of course we did not offer committed to MSU. I understand they are going national first but McGowen is better then everyone we brought in last year except for the center. It is very frustrating especially when we run with low OL numbers all the time. -

Disagree, by the time Dunn & Ball are redshirt Frosh, there will be a big gap between them and Hall/Berry. Smith will be draft eligble as a redshirt soph. We need them both. -

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The spring practice season has come and gone in Columbus. It was one of the most intriguing of the Jim Tressel era, and not just because of the scandal hovering over the Ohio State football program.
Quarterback Terrelle Pryor will miss the first five games of his senior season because of suspension, but it was off-season foot surgery that kept him from taking snaps in the spring.
His absence opened the door for Ohio State’s four other quarterbacks to jump in and show what they could do this spring. It wasn’t exactly a quarterback clinic but all four did enough to at least remain in contention throughout the spring.
Redshirt freshman Taylor Graham might have made the biggest push at the quarterback spot, but he wasn’t the only change in the spring depth chart.
We take our first shot at projecting the post-spring depth chart, which will most certainly look much different in the fall with the arrival of the remaining members of the 2011 recruiting class. It will also be missing four key seniors for the first five games of the season.
(Editor’s Note: Changes from our previous projected depth chart are represented in bold.)

WriterbuckeyeThe Bauserman listing is based on his experience and not much else, as far as I can see. He's done nothing in any of the games he did get into, or the Spring game, to warrant being ahead of Miller or Graham.
I believe that after fall camp ends, Miller or Graham will have passed Bauserman...and if they don't make the switch immediately then, they will bring Miller and/or Graham into the first game fairly quickly. It won't take long for Bauserman to slide down the chart as the others do more than he is able to do. -
OneBuckeyeRight, they have a seperate article on the Ozone with the Spring "losers" and Bauserman and Guiton were on it. Graham and Miller were on the "winners" list. I think Braxton will start game 2. He will at least provide an additional legit running threat.

dat dudeTaken from Dave Biddle:
Just interviewed Curtis Grant and you can't help but get fired up after talking to this young man. He'll be our featured guest on tomorrow' Front Row Radio show, but here are some highlights:
* Is not bothered by the NCAA investigation and says "it's all a bunch of he-said, she-said stuff." Says he's "standing by Coach Tressel." Also says he's glad Luke Fickell is the interim head coach because he "forged a bond" with Fickell during the recruiting process and thinks Fickell can help him develop as a player.
* Grant is very humble, but still says "I want to play right away -- maybe start. I just love football and want to play." I can't stress how humble and respectful he is (especially for a big-time recruit). Not an ounce of cockiness. Just quiet confidence.
* Is not cousins with Doran Grant, but they like to joke with people and say they are cousins. But Curtis Grant says "you might as well consider us family now, along with all my other teammates."
* Is up to 6-foot-3, 245 pounds.
* Thinks he will play middle linebacker for the majority of his college career, but isn't sure about his freshman season.
* The two players he stays in closest contact with are Doran Grant and Braxton Miller. Curtis Grant thought Miller played better than he thought he would in the spring game.
* Grant talks to Coach Tressel or Coach Fickell at least once a week.
Look for the entire interview on tomorrow's FRR. -

That is a shame. But if he is going to sit out a year anyway a change of scenary will do him well, going somewhere where he isn't already in the dog house will be a good for all.
Edit: looks like its not a for sure thing yet. -

Good, don't let him run from his problems. I heard a good quote the other night "No matter how many times a man fails, he is only a failure when he gives up" -
karen lotzOSU will be discussed on College Football Live today as part of their preseason countdown. I think they have them at #10.

#10 won't be a bad starting point.
Not sure it will happen, but it would be great to see this team succeed this season. Especially since I really like Luke F. as the HC right now. -

Just watched it, and the Round Table (Kirk Herbstreit, Urban Meyer, Jesse Palmer & Robert Smith) made some excellent points and observations--thanks for the heads up, Lotzy -

Link to article about Thomas. Obviously he is a hardcore buckeye, once he got the offer it didn't take him long. Not the TE I thought we would get but I am happy to have him none the less.
