2011 Michigan Recruiting
-
bo shemmy3337This is why I said to keep RR unless a big name is a lock. Now what? Michigan would have won 8 or 9 games this year with RR and now, who knows.

Thank God Ohio State did not hire him...would have been a disaster of RichRod proportions!!
Minnesota with Mason >>>> Michigan with RR -

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the "Domino's plane" and how did you get access to the above flight? -

Again... how do/did people know this and what is it?! -
WebFireCouple tidbits:
So, DB hadn't even interviewed Hoke yet as far as we can tell. The agent for San Diego State head football coach Brady Hoke has been in discussions for Hoke to possibly become the next head coach at the University of Michigan, a source close to the situation said.
Trace Armstrong, Hoke's agent, has declined comment. Hoke and other SDSU officials have not returned messages for several days.
Hoke was in the Los Angeles area Tuesday recruiting for SDSU. Meanwhile, Michigan Athletic Director Dave Brandon has planned to fly to nearby Orange County for a meeting Tuesday.
Also, apparently the Domino's plane is actually being used for Domino's business and the trip to CA is not related to Brandon or Michigan. -

It is a Domino's plane that they let Brandon use. It's just knowledge gained from insider/paid boards and such. -

Where is/was this coming from? Link? -

But who's listening to that? Potential recruits? Doubtful.ytownfootball;634287 wrote:The attrition thing I get, I could see losing a few guys that were RR guys, though I'm not sure that's entirely a bad thing given the overall talent RR has brought in. I think you might be jumping the gun a little on Hoke not being able to recruit well enough, true, this seasons class will be light due to the timing, but I think something could be salvaged by how he comes in.
I'm not saying do the Jim Tressel basketball speech, but along those lines. He needs to come in strong and play up the Michigan Man thing and prove he gets it to the fans/recruits. If he comes in ho hum and timid then I will agree about the 5 year plan.
The problem as I see it is, Hoke comes in and goes 6-6. Couple that with this year's God awful class, and you have a recipe for disaster. Would you go to Michigan in 2012 if you had your choice of schools? -

Domino's the pizza company? And is "Brandon" Michigan's AD Dave Brandon? Why would he have access to / be allowed to use Domino's (the pizza company's) plane for athletic business?
Seriously... I don't know / am not poking fun. Just trying to educate myself. Please help. -

Do you know where he came from? -
WebFireSan Diego State coach Brady Hoke has informed his staff he will meet with Michigan today, with a plane en route to pick him up and bring him back to Ann Arbor.
-
Skyhook79Might as well. Lets face it michigan is no longer an elite attracting job.

No I don't. By your post, I'm going to guess the CEO (or whatever) of Domino's is a Michigan grad. -

Close. Michigan's AD is former CEO of Domino's and is currently Chairman of the Board. He is a Michigan alum and played football under Bo. Domino's let's him/Michigan use the plane, though I'm sure UM pays for it's use. -
WebFireI don't think Hoke is the best hire given the Michigan situation right now. I do believe Hoke will be a good coach, it will just take him longer. I will support him if he is the coach.
