2011 Michigan Recruiting

Is it pretty much down to Miles or falling back on Hoke now? I haven't really heard anyone else discussed.

Buzz is starting to pick for Miles to UM...

Just saw on ESPN's Bottom Line that they are going to meet tomorrow and a source said "Miles will accept the job if offered." I guess we have to wait and see.

I already knew they were meeting, but that source thing is a new development.

I'm just curious, what does this have to do with anything? Not being shitty, just curious.

To be honest with you UM fans here, I'd be happy to have Miles or Hoke as opposed to that no D doosh RR. I'd only be mildly disappointed in not getting Miles short term. The fact of the matter is your "John Cooper" era has come to a close. Good riddance.

I was an avid Rich Rodriguez supporter mostly because he was the coach of my team. Now that he's gone and what he "did" for the program, I say good riddance as well.

I admire this--seriously...liking someone and supporting someone are two different animals, and a true fan should support their coach, even though they may not like said coach

Michigan team meeting tomorrow afternoon. Perhaps to let the team meet the new coach? Keep on eye on those planes.
  • WebFire
LSU fans are pretty convinced he is going to Michigan. I've heard 5 yrs 25 million thrown around.

CB still says his hunch hasn't changed about it being Hoke.

Domino's plane scheduled to depart for Ann Arbor at 9 am tomorrow.
  • bigkahuna
Is Dave Brandon already in BR, or is the Dominos plane taking him down there?

I honestly don't see why the planes are THAT significant.

Really? It shows where the AD for the University is located. The AD hires the football coach. Pretty simple.

Yep. The planes are what broke the RR to Michigan story last time.

Correction, plane departed at 9 pm tonight...

Well, I didn't pay this close of attention last time.

Also, Brandon being in BR doesn't mean we have a coach. The only thing I can see is if the plane is there and departs again in 30-45mins or if the next stop is AA or SD.

I just don't quite understand how it gives you anything concrete. Yes, we know who is going and where they are going to, but the important thing is WHY.

Thanks for the insight though Webbie-seriously-

Sorry, just re-read your post. You stated FOR Ann Arbor. I thought it said FROM Ann Arbor.
  • WebFire
Reports are that Les Miles is NOT on the plane to AA, but that would be expected. If a deal was indeed inked, he would still want to address his team, and he has 2 speaking engagements tomorrow in Dallas.

If he signed a deal, I would imagine we start hearing leaks once he addresses the team. Should be an interesting next 12 hours.

If the plane is on its way back and is Miles less, then what of the meeting tomorrow?

Your guess is as good as mine, about any of it. ;)

I was just thinking. I live just over the Michigan/Ohio Border. I can easily be to Detroit Metro in 20-25 minutes. I'll just drive up and wait for Dave to get off of the plane and ask him myself.

Be back in about an hour and a half lol.

Good news is the UM plane is still in Baton Rouge.

Good luck. I'll be awaiting your update. :D
