Lets just all get it straight that ND still hasn't gone as long between National Championships as THE OSU.

yea your right, Todd Boeckman who was a first team all big ten selecton was lifted for pryor. kendra's freshman year he sat behind thad busby who was a second team all acc selecton. i see the difference.

Maybe if I created a historial college football thread then teams like FSU, ND, and UM could post their accomplishments in that thread. I understand that teams have down periods, OSU has had their fair share. But during those down times I wouldn't be spouting off about a championship that happened 20 years ago.

no you spout off about championships that happened 8 years ago and counting

Yep and as a program they haven't been relevant for a long time. They had their shining chance against OSU but Ginn, Smith and company sent the Irish home disappointed once again.

ND is terrible, I don't want to hear about how their program will suddenly be turned around or how great they were in the past. I live in the present and they presently suck.

wow a guy that pledges his allegiance to a team that takes its team picture from the front and the side brings up scandal.

Or how about the multiple B10 championships and 3 other BCS bowl victories recently.

I do believe that the Ohio State University leads in BCS appearances and is tied for total BCS Bowl game victories.

With their current set up, I'd add one more BCS appearance (probable NC game) to that list above.

Don't make me punk you like I did in the Oregon vs. OSU thread, I'll bring that stuff back up if you would like a refresher to your memory.

You are right 8 appearances..... and are tied with Florida with 5 wins. USC has 5 win but 1 win is vacated.

This proves my point. If Pryor was willing to change positions from qb....I don't want him at all. Those schools that wanted him as a receiver are the ones that are narrow=minded and misinformed.

devil1197-I hope you can take some of what you're dishing when it's time to. The NFL season is approaching. A lot of your digs at ND....well, similar stuff can be said about your Browns.

But I don't act like tough shit with my Browns. I know they are not good so I don't act like it.

So you can talk about two threads while I can talk about 10+ while looking at our Rose Bowl trophy and yet another BCS victory.

Remind me how bad Oregon was going to stomp the slow, unathletic, B10 losers?

Or maybe the difference is that Kendra only switched positions because he out-lifted himself from the QB position. After he tore his ACL in '98, he came back the following year weighing 270lbs. He didn't switch positions from day one and he didn't switch because he wanted to. He had no choice.

And Busby was also ACC offensive player of the year in '97.

And there are quite a few of us ND fans who do the same thing when it comes to the Irish......

Why would his development been quicker? Did he play WR in high school? Again....just trying to follow your logic. I've never said he was a world beater.....but I know for damn sure he'd put a hurting on your lowly Irish. On a side note....whos gonna be chuckin' the bean for them this season?

Hahahaha, little man.......go look in the mirror Napolean!

BTW, why bring up ND? I know why, you can't hang in the discussion so you take a shot at them, typical of insecure people! LMAO......you know for damn sure, priceless!

FYI, Dayne Crist will be ND's starting QB.

Does that have anything to do with the Big10 being pretty bad the past 5-6 years? Do they get more opportunities to play in BCS games because of this? Isn't it similar to how FSU just ran through the ACC about every year in the 90's?

Whats funny is that you actually think you are "hanging" in the discussion. You little sports guru you ;)

The Big Ten is consistently better than any conference other than the SEC (and could surpass them again depending on how many SEC teams get sanctions and probation in the next round of investigations). If the conference was the reason for OSU's success, then where are the Big East and ACC teams with that kind of record when they are in far weaker conferences?
