    Wellington 0-1 4-0 8-1 0-0 12-2

I am going to guess Norwayne , Hillsdale, and Loudonville will get the most votes for top 3 seeds as most teams are from the WCAL and are familiar to each other, Wellingtons record will get some attention and Elyria Cath could be interesting as they have definitely played an up schedule with 8 DI's, 7 DII's and only 1 DIII.

Hillsdale beat Loudonville, Elyria Catholic and Norwayne. I'd have them #1 if the seeding was today. They have the opportunity to win the WCAL.
Norwayne beat Loudonville and Orrville and has games remaining with Hillsdale and Wellington - if they win those, maybe they're the #1 seed.
Maybe Orrville won't get a high seed, but they'll be the team nobody wants to play. They're easily top 4 in my mind, regardless of the records.

Do all the teams get seeded and placed on the bracket where they should be, or do teams still have the chance to jump around and avoid teams?

I think they seed all of the teams - the top 2 or 3 get a first round bye.

Seedings and draw is before Norwayne plays Hillsdale and Wellington, I think on the 12th so those games won't matter at the seedings.

With 14 teams in the sectional/district only 2 teams get byes and it is not necessarily the top 2 seeds. In previous years, they place themselves on the board at whichever spot they want, so if they haven't played recently they might jump into an early date rather than have like 2 weeks off. In past draws I have seen the 1st 4 seeds get voted on and then the rest draw pills with number 5 thru 14 and that determines the order they go on the board. So a team that misses the vote for 4th seed could actually draw the #14 pill and have no choice where they go. I don't think they have started voting for seeds for all 14 teams yet, but that may have changed recently and some districts do it differently. That is the way the DI and DII draws went at the fieldhouse, but I haven't gone to them since Orrville came to the Wooster district and don't know if they are open to the public at Wooster.

Without knowing much..I'd think that seeds would be Norwayne, Hillsdale, Loudonville and maybe Orrville as the 4 seed.

Anyone else in the district making waves?
  • Coach_08
They seed everyone and then top seed goes where ever they want and then so on from top to bottom. I know Wellington is like 12-3 this year they may get a high seed.

I've gotten all scores as up-to-date as possible.

Found the draw info on the OHSAA site and yes all teams are voted a seed and can place themselves any where on an open spot on the bracket. The top 4 teams have to be on before 5 thru 14 can place themselves and the boys draw on the 12th , with the girls draw on the 5th.

Looks to me like the top 4 will be these 4 , all with 12 or more wins as of today with games next weekend before the seedings.

Hillsdale 12-3 (2 games) Dalton 14-2 at home and CCC 8-6 away * 2 wins to get #1 seed

Norwayne 14-2 (1 game) at Rittman 2-14 * nonfactor win

Loudonville 12-3 (2 games) Johnstown 10-7 at home, Clear Fork 5-9 away

Wellington 13-2 (2 games) home games with Black River 1-13 and Firelands 5-9

Looks like Hillsdale and Loudonville with the toughest tests before seeding next Sunday.

I haven't seen Wellington, but they have a nice record. I'm not sure where they'll fit in - the seeding would be easier if they could wait until Norwayne plays Hillsdale and Wellington. I guess you have it right, but I would have Orrville in the top 4. I hope Norwayne and Orrville meet in the final. It would be fun to see the two Ashland teammates face off one more time: 1. Hillsdale 2. Norwayne 3. Wellington 4. Orrville

    1a. Hillsdale
    1b. Norwayne
    3. Loudonville
    4. Orrville

Its almost sad that Dalton will probably get a lower seed in the D4 District then they would in this one.

Who are the big competitors for Dalton in their district?

Yeah, but you still have to play and win anyway. The WCAL will be behind you - it's just that some of us have to root against you next Friday :)

The biggest 2 are Richmond Heights and VASJ.

And to Kurty66 we will do our best to disappoint you.

I saw VASJ play at Walsh in the Dunk4Diabetes... good luck, Dalton. You'll have your hands full.
