Elmwood plays McComb tonight at Elmwood. Should be a good test for the Royals. They are picked to be at the top of the BVC.

    McComb over the Royals 69-57

Technical foul with 2 min left on Elmwood for having 6 men on the floor coming out of a timeout. Ball was never put in play. Still don't understand the call. Only down 6 at the time. They made both FTs and got possession. Changed the game. Not taking anything away from McComb. They have a very nice team. They will win a lot of games.

TJ Waldock with 24, Hannah 19, and J waldock 9

Lol how can you have 6 guys on the court, how does that even happen. Anyways about the Napoleon will win 12 games. They played a very good Defiance team close all game losing in overtime and should be able to compete against Findlay for a GBC title

Howd Genoa do against Oak Harbor? No talk about them or even that game. Who won?

Genoa doesn't open their season untill friday against Eastwood.

    Elmwood over Lake 91-52.

I don't think Lake should have been full court pressing the Royals. Didn't turn out to well for them.

Jack Waldock with 17, Hammer 15 and 11 RB, Hannah 13 and 13 RB, TJ waldock 12 and 11 RB, Davis 10, and Ziski 7.

They were also 28-37 from the FT line.

    Eastwood over Genoa tonight 60-46.

Is Genoa that bad or did the Eagles do a 360 turn around? Saw that two Faykoshs and the freshman led them in scoring last night. Looked at the box score and no points from any of the post players it looked like.

I take that back just saw Rutherford chipped in 7

25-23 Lb at half over Eastwood
  • karen lotz
Not bad. How is LB supposed to be this year? Obviously they are a perennial great team, but losing someone of Craft's ability will be tough to overcome.

Not a good night for the SLL

    LB 51
    Eastwood 32

    Port Clinton 45
    Woodmore 29

    Oak Harbor 64
    Lake 60 OT

    Delta 57
    Otsego 39

Eastwood just could not hit any shots in the 2nd half. It was not very pretty. Hopefully they can turn it around this Thursday against Woodmore.

LB is not supposed to be very good this year. They lost to Vanlue on Friday night.
  • birddog23
    Alright.
  • Stan Papi
Vanlue is real good this year, off to a 4-0 start and only beat LB by 2. So lets take it easy with the Liberty Benton isn't very good this year.
  • birddog23
Yeah it is hard to see LB as being no good. They have one of the best coaches around so it is very hard for them to have a down year. Sure they lost Craft and arent nearly as talented and athletic now but I bet they will be just fine.

    Thursday games

    Genoa at Elmwood
    Otsego at Gibsonburg
    Woodmore at Eastwood
  • birddog23
Otsego vs Gburg should be a good one. Eastwood vs Woodmore could turn out to be a good one as well since both teams dont have a true identity yet.

Elmwood will blow out Genoa though.
  • royal_k
Yeah...I would like to see the Otsego, GBurg game. It should be a good one. I'm curious to know how Forshey and Limes are playing without Wiesinborn (sp?). They really impressed me as freshman last year. But I will be at Elmwood.
  • birddog23
I think you mean Smoyer instead of Forshey. Forshey is a senior this year I believe.
  • royal_k
Yeah.... I meant Smoyer. You sure Forshey didn't graduate last year?
  • birddog23
Forshey is back this year. They lost their two main weapons in Weisenborn and Gerwin.

    Elmwood over Genoa 49-41

This was not a game for teaching fundamentals...very ugly. Elmwood was up 3 at the half. Pushed it out to double digits in the third. Shot 13-28 from the foul line and probably much worse from the field. Have to give credit to Genoa for being very scrappy on defense. Jay Hannah led all scorers with 19, TJ Waldock had 15. Eric Schimming had 13 for the Genoa.
