2010-2011 Orrville Red Rider Basketball

  • RedRider1
Game Friday WILL NOT be moved. Still at Wooster HS. Tip at 7pm, gates will open at 6pm. Probably want to be there before 6pm if you want a good seat.
  • CCRolly
As much as I'd like to be there Friday night, I will be across town rooting on the Scots.

I totally agree with you wannabe, the riders have experience with the kids that are back, are we as good as last years team? probably not, but the team has heart and play with pride. Also the coaching staff has been rock solid, I know their was haters out there on the coach but as you can see it is how you finish not always how you start. Also to the rest of the staff that I am sure usually gets over looked, coach Landis has been here before under Smitty, his experience is huge. Coach Haley has been a great football coach and relates will with the kids and did a solid job with the JV's. Coach Spurlock from what I have heard does a good job with the freshmen and also was told he does a great job of scouting for the Riders all year. What does that all equal= success!! Good luck Riders on Friday!

    ^^Amen.

Seems the staff is on the same page. Never quit on the kids, and never let the kids quit on themselves.

    Hahahaha!

I left Price in the quote because I had the pleasure to meet him and become friends. Congrats, pal!

BRF tip of the hat to all our players!
  • THE4RINGZ
Lalonde is headed to The Air Force Academy. So you know he is a solid kid.

Duke is a great kid as well.

    Congratulations to the Riders players.

See everyone Friday! And that's probably literal, since Orrville is the home team and will be sitting behind the scorer's table. Ugh... :)
  • RedRider1
We'll have to see those awful purple camo pants....double ugh. :)

Three other district finals are set in our region

Campbell Memorial vs Ursuline, VASJ vs Cleve CC and Wooster Triway. In the Warren District...LaBrae is in, and Newton Falls plays Berkshire tomorrow for a spot in the finals.

Three of the four regional qualifiers from last year are still alive.
  • OQB
Good Luck to Coach Alberts and the Lady Riders tonight as they take on Ursuline!!

I think we will have a great turnout tonight, lots of tickets have been sold!

Fun fact......if the girls were to reach the state championship game, and the boys were to make it to the regional final.....the Girls would be playing at 5 with the boys playing at 7:30....on the same day!! A little bit of a dilemma, but one I hope will happen.
  • rrfan
Second that good luck wishes to the Ladys tonight.
  • riders1
    1st game

20 - 0 run to get back in from 18 down at half, WOW!!
  • riders1
Great effort but the girls come up short from 18 down at halftime, final Ursuline 50 Orrville 46.

    GREAT SEASON GIRLS !
  • OQB
Wow, what an effort tonight...just came up a little bit short. 50-46 was the Final, Ursuline moving on.

    Great Season Lady Riders!
  • THE4RINGZ
Only caught part of the game on the radio tonight. Great game by the Orrville girls. That comeback was amazing. They can walk away proud of that game for sure.

Congratulations on a terrific season Lady Riders.
  • RedRider1
20 wins and a district title...pretty solid season.
  • RedRider1
Hannah finishes with 502 points on the season (3rd all-time)

    20.08 points per game (2nd all-time)

    895 career points (9th all-time)

    Just a sophomore.

    Great Season Lady Riders!

The best team lost and everyone there knows it. All the refs were from youngstown. If any reporters quote me in the newspaper "they will never work in the state of Ohio again". T Pappas....

It still burns me a bit Jake got shafted on POY the last 2 yrs....Is it because a little D-3 team beats up on the big dogs or what...
  • RedRider1
His numbers were better than the guy who won it both years. Too bad really, but what's done is done.
