OQBSmall town politics......lol and this may be the capital of small town politics!

ridernationrider28, I actually wondered that myself. I think Perez has the best 3pt shot on the team, he needs to get stronger and more physical and become a better defender. He handles the ball fairly well he just needs a little as Series would say some motivational and inspirational coaching injected into his game.

ridernationIts to bad Genoa sucks at basketball because it would be more fun ragging on them instead of our own.
-
riders28im sure his confidence is shattered and what will happen with him next year,my next question would be how come some juniors got passed up when the call ups happened.gebhardt, sims, there juniors will they be passed over

If it's true, that's his prerogative, it doesn't hurt me and I'll live!BRF;685417 wrote:I know, the truth sometimes hurts. Guess what? The Coach does not "love" you. How do I know? Because I talk to him pretty much every day. He's my pal, fyi..
You can move in his house, write him a letter, email, text, telephone and send homing pigeons...SO WHAT!
Every time you open your mouth you prove how childish and immature you are, and you're too childish and immature to even realize it! -

Yes. Early on as in the end of last season.OQB;685418 wrote:did you mean to say, "realizing early on that I won't WIN many games..."
but +1 to the second part of that post. -
OQBYeah I'm sure they thought we would see a drop in the guard play with Joey, Jake, and Andre all graduating last year and lose a few more games....but we had all this size that I thought would win us a lot of games because having this much height on a high school team is rare, especially at a school our size. But I don't think they were going into the season thinking they would be under .500.
Just goes to show how spoiled we were last season with those 3 seniors. -
riders28so the question is can we make a run in the tourney,i can see 2 wins coming.
-
riders28it would be nice to get in the championship game

I do have a knack for getting under your skin, don't I? -
OQBRealistically, Chippewa is a very winnable game, and so is the 2nd round game....after that I think it would be a great way to end the season. This team is very capable of winning the district, but they are just so up and down and you never know what team is going to show up. Should make the district fun to watch.
-
ridernationBRF play nice or we're going to have to send you to the office, and a note to your parents saying "BRF does not play well with others"
-
riders28it would be more interesting if hillsdale got knocked off before the final
-
OQBHillsdale and Nothwestern.....McKean is an amazing basketball player! I still think we win a rematch with either of them.

Favoritism? Could it be?riders28;685434 wrote:im sure his confidence is shattered and what will happen with him next year,my next question would be how come some juniors got passed up when the call ups happened.gebhardt, sims, there juniors will they be passed over
Look at it from this perspective: Graber starts, gets plenty of playing time, he's not that strong defensively or offensively, nor is he a big rebounder, he didn't play much last year or in the two years prior to that, yet...he starts, gets plenty of playing time. What does that look like to you? -

You aren't getting under my skin! It "is" sad to see your public display of idiocy!BRF;685453 wrote:I do have a knack for getting under your skin, don't I? -
riders1Looks like a lack of guards, not favorites, but scrappers that have caught the eye of the coaches , while others have caught the eye of fans. I would guess I saw more favorites playing in previous seasons before the present coach.

OQBlack of guards for sure

If you double him, he's got teammates that can shoot too. They really can't play an inside game as they don't have size, but if they draw the defense out to the perimeter with their shooting, they'll attack the basket, and our jump-happy, "I'll block your shot" bigs will foul them...and they hurt them at the free throw line. It'll be another close game.OQB;685462 wrote:Hillsdale and Nothwestern.....McKean is an amazing basketball player! I still think we win a rematch with either of them. -
riders1I would not be surprised to see Triway ( as much as I hate to say it ) beat Northwestern.
-
OQBAbsolutely....McKean knows how to work the officials too. He initiates contact almost 95% of the time. Makes it hard to defend him and be aggressive.

Name the scrappers besides Brenner and Turner.riders1;685469 wrote:Looks like a lack of guards, not favorites, but scrappers that have caught the eye of the coaches , while others have caught the eye of fans. I would guess I saw more favorites playing in previous seasons before the present coach.

That makes him a good guard!OQB;685478 wrote:Absolutely....McKean knows how to work the officials too. He initiates contact almost 95% of the time. Makes it hard to defend him and be aggressive.
Good defense isn't running alongside the trying to casually bump him and deflect his direction, you'll get called for a foul which is what is happening. You have to know how to slow his progression up the floor and force him to do with the ball what he does not want to do! i.e., make bad decisions -
OQBAnd that is what we are lacking lol.
Just think how we would do if McKean was our starting PG...man on man that would be lethal. I think he is an even better shooter than Jake was imo...
