  Obviously of you have the weapon ready and aimed, then no. But only if you shoot when they start at you. The point is you can't pull a gun out of the holster and get a good shot off before someone could cover 21 ft. So if someone is within that area, they are a threat.

  yeah everyone is saying he was around like 5ft right? crowbars are what, close to 2ft long, a person's arm is another 2 ft long....now the guy only had to lunge abour 1ft. guns drawn or not, that isnt a lot of reaction time that close.

  So after officer 1 pops him 5 times, hes clearly going down and officer 2 pumps 5 rounds into a downed suspect from point blank range lol
