You asked if I would feel differently if they was a member of my family... no I would not. I would be sad that I had lost a family member but I wouldn't be pissed at the cops for doing their job.
easy to say that sitting in your chair . This isnt a case of simply complying with the PIGS Its excessive force .. We want to throw Marines in jail for peeing on dead terrorist from another country but condone a couple of NAZI police PIGS KILLING a civilian .. Those phucking PIGS need dropped off in a Taliban stronghold for murder . USE MACE LET THE DOG GO > EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO SHOOT HOW BOUT ONLY ONCE AND IN THE SHOULDER!!! IMBECILS !!!! This aint China . You say they did the right thing by shooting that VICTIM and he was a victim of the police state .
This isnt China you moron . You same people that condone excesive police behavior are the same nuts that have your houses filled with guns and ammo
I am pretty sure I never said they shot the victim. You might have used that word. But most people agree he was not a victim. A victim does not go into a private business and bust up the windows. A victim does not disobey officers of the law who are trying to place him under arrest for previously mentioned actions. A victim does not advance towards a police officer wielding a deadly weapon in a menacing fashion.

And as I previously said, you are wrong to think that anyone that agrees the police were justified in the initial shooting is a right wing nut.

I am considerably liberal, especially when compared to the posters on this board. I for one don't necessarily think having guns/ammo around the house is a good thing. If you look at the Second Amendment the right to bear arms is in the context of a militia. I think the idea that people with the current guns allowed to be possessed by individuals would necessarily stand a chance against a real army is a joke. Thus the whole concept of the Second Amendment is flawed in how it is interpreted in this day an age.

I definitely don't own a gun, nor do I plan on owning one. Am I afraid of guns? No. I grew up learning how to shoot guns, only rifles and shotguns, no pistols. I just believe they only escalate situations and make things worse.

Dont sit here and say you are a liberal . No liberal would ever condone such an illegal shooting . They could have used mace , They could have let the dog go . I did not here warnings when the perp raised the crowbar . Those cops were not going to be hit they were out of reach . That was totally excessive and we as citizens cannot keep letting our country become more and more of a police state and thats what is happening .

I support gay marriage. I'm pro choice. I think as a society we do need to do more than to help those less fortunate because of the life situation they were born into (whether it be location, lack of financial ability of their family, etc.). I think as a country we need to scale back military involvement. I think trickle down economics is an absolute joke and regulation is necessary. I am torn on the death penalty; I need to learn more about it before I make up my mind. I think we really need to push for more ways to harness energy, we can't remain dependent on oil. I think euthanasia can be a good way to end someones life, and from my understand it goes on a lot more than people are willing to admit. I don't think religion should have anything to do with the government, now should a church be on fire, sure, use the city resources to put it out, but that's it.

I don't think all social programs (welfare) are necessarily bad, but there can be fixes implemented I bet. I do, however, think that extending unemployment acts as a disincentive.

For the most part I'm liberal. I am willing to talk about and listen to arguments on different issues. I do not think either side has it right and both sides need to learn how to compromise if our country is going to continue.

As for your comment about "Those cops were not going to be hit they were out of reach." That's the point. The guy was advancing towards the cops with a deadly weapon looking like he was going to use it. Shoot him before he does. The policy is not to let him try to use it and fail then shoot. Cops prevent him from using the weapon once it is clear it is imminent.

Okay you use mace and a dog, I'll get drugged out and jokes a crowbar and see what happens.

in your scenario, instead of going home to their families those cops would have their families visiting in a hospital or funeral.

    But they're nazis..right. You're an idiot.

You're an idiot. If the person would have COMPIED by stopping he was probably told and put down the crowbar or maybe even when he was tazed. But this criminal didn't listen and was a threat to the officers and they acted how they were trained. Also what if the officers did try and go again protocol and tried to shot him in shoulder and missed and he was able to come after them? If they didn't shoot him and he bashed them in the head and killed one of the officers I'd bet you'd say the cops didn't do enough to stop him. I'd rather have a criminal dead than the cop doing his job. Also you say they could have let the dog go after him... You do realize that the dog is an officer as well right? That if the criminal used the crowbar and injured/killed the dog it would be the same as injuring/killing a human officer. Also I love how you try and call this guy a victim. He is a not a victim he is a criminal. Also what if the officers did try and go again protocol and tried to shot him in shoulder and missed and he was able to come after them?

Also I don't have any guns or gun ammo in my house. I have not shot gun in over 5 years. Good assumption though.

I'm beginning to question my stance on this. Not because I think I'm wrong...but because I'm pretty sure the only person who agrees with me has 2 teeth, goes to work in denim bib overalls and is married to his 1st cousin. With all due respect.

The weapon was raised into an attack position. Pointing a gun at you isn't shooting you either. But would you wait until they pulled the trigger?

They're going home because they shot. Now if those last give rounds were unnecessary then we have a problem.

Do you realize how dumb you sound basically in every post right? Is that how you talk for real?
