Is Rule #3 Being Followed?

TheRapist SasquatchWhen did the Crusades roll into town?

buckeyefallsOne last thought for the night.
Notice the progression of society and television. At one time you'd never hear "dang" or even "God" in vein.
Now, regular t.v. has everything cruel and foul.
At one time, showing skin on television was almost a no-no. Now, anything goes.
Same will go for sites like these.
Allow the boobs, booty, etc. type topics and it will eventually grow into where you'll be a part porn site.
By the way, even if there are clothes on some of those girls, I'm sure you can still see the entire body or "parts" of their body. So why in those topics not just allow completely unclothed pictures of that body part? -
ts1227You can show children in many ways that the words they use in certain circumstances need to be chosen wisely without telling a couple thousand losers on a message board to do it for you, that's my thing. This is about the LAST place people are picking up bad habits. As you mentioned, I think the media is penetrating a hell of a lot quicker than some hole in the wall message board. This may not be JJ's in terms of cute cuddliness, but it also can't hold a candle to perhaps the most popular and most vulgar board out there, /b/ on 4chan. It isn't that bad!
Remember, this can always be the example of what NOT to say for your kids! -
buckeyefallsAren't people allowed to have civilized discussions?
If you don't like our conversation, then go find another thread.
And by the way, THE Crusade will eventually roll into town for you as well. You may not realize it but eventually EVERY knee will bow. - just had to throw some religion into this....I figured it would get the ire of many up.

Mr. 300Looks like Catsgonewild will be at the top of the goldhammer list for me.

buckeyefallsts,
I appreciate your open and honest discussion whether we ultimately agree or disagree. Thanks for being civilized.
I am a firm believer that the more you see something or hear something, the more you become subjective to think it is okay or to repeat it (garbage in, garbage out ideal).
Therefore, as an adult, the more I read the word and the more I hear it, I feel prone to use it - don't ask me why, just the way it works for many I've talked to in my profession.
So, if an adult here, or kid here, reads it over and over and eventually starts saying it, other kids (i.e. younger siblings, etc.) may hear it and start using it as well.
Sure, it is a stretch, but not a far-fetched one.

As a matter of fact..I do have a child..and I have instilled into my son what is right and what is wrong. I trust my son. I don't feel I have to babysit him 24/7 in order for him to make the right choices. Hell..as a matter of fact..when my son does something wrong..HE TELLS ON HIMSELF.buckeyefalls wrote: You obviously don't have kids. ts1227I appreciate the lively and civilized discussion too, buckeyefalls.
Though we may not agree, we gave people something to read and still made a few points stick on one another at least! -
buckeyefallsMy son does the same thing.
So you think (just asking an honest question) that it is okay for you to allow it/promote it, but at the same time tell your kids that it is wrong?
Through the very fact that you allow it here and you support others who use that language, shows that there is hypocracy in the fact that it is okay one place, but not the other. -
ts1227It is OK in some places and not in others. To the opinion of many, this is in fact an acceptable place because of the demographics.

Again..where have you seen anywhere where justin wants this to be a site for HS sports? Sure..there is forums..catering to those that want it..but I don't think he created this site for HS sports. Hell..I don't even think he visits the HS boards. So I doubt that was his intended purpose.buckeyefalls wrote: Honestly, I'm sure you don't care about one person's advice; however, as a first-time visitor to this site, I can see where the first forum someone visits may be Serious Business. buckeyefallsts,
Indeed. I am not arguing for argument sake, I just feel that, as another website owner who has a similar type site, I've had many people, including a television station tell me that they want it to be as clean filtered as possible because there are adults who enjoy reading things without polluting their minds.
My guess is that over 75% of the people who are typing f this and f that and typing inappropriate pictures (from my stance) are most likely kids and we are encouraging them (and college students) to be spending their time looking for those images.
That or they are by single men who have no daughter, no wife, etc. I mean, I know there are many out there, but what jollies can you get by posting pictures of other women on boards that you don't know.
I pray to God that no one ever takes a picture of my wife/daughter/mom/etc. and posts it on a board like this anytime. Then again, if my mom, wife, daughter ever took pictures like that in the first place, they'd be beaten! lol. -

I'm not the one that has issues with the words..the rest of society does. I tell him not to use them b/c it is looked down upon by the rest of society. Therefor..I surely don't want him using them at a young age and then have the rest of the society look down upon him and me. Do you smoke? drink? ever used drugs? had sex? Well I'm sure you've done one or the other..and I'm sure you tell your son is it frowned upon...hypocrite.buckeyefalls wrote: My son does the same thing.

buckeyefallsMaybe he doesn't, I don't know.
HOwever, this site was started to combat JJHuddle. JJHuddle was about sports.
Unless you are saying just the sports/trivia folks wanted to come over here. Then he should leave the sports alone.
Obviously, by the fact that he has more sports topics then ones like Politics, REligion, etc. he intended more sports people to be over here who follow HS sports in Ohio.

Most of the uprising and initial membership came straight from the ST/I boards. Sure, the sports talk is nice (since we can actually do it for free here, and people are interested) but I do agree that it was not the primary motivation. Most of us just wanted to continue shooting the shit about absolutely nothing!GoChiefs wrote: Again..where have you seen anywhere where justin wants this to be a site for HS sports? 2. Drink but I don't tell him it is frowned upon by society. I tell him it is okay to drink responsibly and that my faith teaches me not to get drunk, etc.
3. Never used drugs - even marijuana
4. Yes, had sex, but inside of marriage.
No hypocracy there, is there? lol -
Be NiceI'm sensiing someone might be a single parent. However, I just don't "get" all the cursing. As a business owner this site has great potential, but some might get turned off with "words" that really don't need to be used.

Exactly..I don't think that being a 'sports' site was ever the intention. It was just to combat the $12.00 of the other place.ts1227 wrote: Most of the uprising and initial membership came straight from the ST/I boards. buckeyefallsOkay, maybe that is why it was started.
I'll buy that for a dollar.

buckeyefallsWho is a single parent? Not me.
Happily married 1 time and no intention of leaving. Maybe she has the intention though.

Correct..and some will get turned off that you rule the site with an iron fist and don't allow others to say what they truly want to say. As I said earlier..you can't please everyone.Be Nice wrote: I'm sensiing someone might be a single parent. However, I just don't "get" all the cursing. ts1227Plus, if you have a message board where 90%+ of the membership is dudes, you should probably have something for sports.
