"Who To Start" questions
-
O-TrapIf yardage, I might actually leave out Welker. He's a machine, but his real strength is in PPR, and those other two can churn out big yardage games. Welker might only do 80-100 yards (still not bad), but he'll have 8 catches or more. Those others have higher ceilings, but they seem more likely to do it on deep balls. 120+ on 5 catches with one of those receptions being a 40+-yarder.
PPR, though, I'd definitely go with Welker and Maclin, but with the run potential of that Carolina team, defenses are not going to be able to just sit back and key on Smith. -
JesterIt's not a PPR league.
-
O-Trap
That makes it tougher. At that point, I almost think it's a crap shoot. Welker has a higher cellar, but a lower ceiling, from a yardage standpoint. TDs are anyone's guess.Jester;1262092 wrote:It's not a PPR league.
I suppose if it was me, and I HAD to play two of them, I'd go Smith and Welker. -
RotinajWhat's everyone's opinion on Nicks? He gonna play tonight or what?
-
gorocks99He'll play, for sure. From rotoworld:
ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that the Giants fully expect Hakeem Nicks (foot) to play in Wednesday night's opener.
Per Schefter, "the question is how effective he will be." We suspect that Nicks will be plenty effective as his questionable tag has been overblown. He was practicing well last week before the Giants' trainers held him out of Sunday and Monday workouts to ensure he would feel no soreness Wednesday night. Nicks will also be matched up against a talented yet inexperienced corner in Cowboys rookie RCB Morris Claiborne. He's a WR1 this week. -
sportchamppsok Witten or Gresham PPR
-
sportchamppsbtw if u have yahoo you can use the start sit tool and its pretty cool
-
gorocks99Well I guess it was just announced that Witten will play tonight, but I'd definitely go Gresham. Witten will probably be limited tonight.

BORIStheCrusherDo I stick w Green Bay D or pick up a new team for this week? I have Brandon Marshal as one of my starters, and feel like the Bears in general will put some points up. Thinking of grabbing New England (vs Arizona).
-
RotinajAm I crazy to sit nicks in favor of Smith(car) Bryant and Ridley at the flex? I just don't think he's healthy enough to be more productive than those guys.

Raw Dawgin' it
i'd go cincy vs cleveland - weeden is awful.BORIStheCrusher;1267755 wrote:Do I stick w Green Bay D or pick up a new team for this week? I have Brandon Marshal as one of my starters, and feel like the Bears in general will put some points up. Thinking of grabbing New England (vs Arizona). -
GOONx19Richardson, Turner, M. Bush? 2/3.
-
O-Trap
Definitely Richardson. His outing wasn't good, but he is, and once they get the passing situation to be even serviceable, that will keep defenses from stacking eight in the box.GOONx19;1268333 wrote:Richardson, Turner, M. Bush? 2/3.
I don't like either of the two other choices, but they've made it clear in Atlanta that it's an all-aerial assault for that offense. Turner and Snelling combined for under 40 yards rushing, and while Forte is still the man in Bear country, they got Bush a respectable percentage of the carries. As such, I've gotta go with Bush for the second spot. -
GOONx19Sounds logical to me. Bush seemed to get some red zone touches.
-
O-Trap
Yeah, he hawked a couple red zone carries at the end of drives that Forte pretty much made. If nothing else, he seems to be good for that.GOONx19;1268396 wrote:Sounds logical to me. Bush seemed to get some red zone touches. -
gorocks99At flex: Quizz Rodgers vs DEN, Alshon Jeffery @ GB, Randall Cobb vs CHI, Sidney Rice vs DAL, or Stephen Hill @ PIT?
-
Raw Dawgin' it
I'd go Sidney Ricegorocks99;1268574 wrote:At flex: Quizz Rodgers vs DEN, Alshon Jeffery @ GB, Randall Cobb vs CHI, Sidney Rice vs DAL, or Stephen Hill @ PIT?
Celek or Cook - Welker or Lloyd? -
GOONx19
Randall Cobb, imo.gorocks99;1268574 wrote:At flex: Quizz Rodgers vs DEN, Alshon Jeffery @ GB, Randall Cobb vs CHI, Sidney Rice vs DAL, or Stephen Hill @ PIT? -

Either Rice or Cobb. Based on the QB throwing to them, easily Cobb.
Celek and Lloyd.Raw Dawgin' it;1268585 wrote:Celek or Cook - Welker or Lloyd? -
jmogOk, our lineup is nearly fully flex.
My Obvious starters that aren't in question...
QB-Vick
RB-Rice
WR-AJ Green
WR-B. Marshall
WR-S. Smith (CAR)
I now need 1 more 'flex'.
Consider this as my scoring (its close)
For RBs-PPR (plus standard yardage and TDs)
For WRs-PPR (plus standard yardage and TDs)
For TEs-No PPR but 1 pt for every 5 yards rec and 12 pts for TDs
Now, due to the TE scoring that is the only reason F. Davis is still on my mind here.
I can pick 1 of these:
R. Mathews (leaning toward no until fully healthy)
M. Lynch (leaning toward no until fully healthy)
F. Davis (was in my lineup last week over the next guy)
R. Wayne (on my bench last week, but leaning towards him due to the number of targets he got last week)
My order would be Wayne, Davis, Lynch (Mathews still looks to be out at this point).
Once Lynch and Mathews are 100% this order would drastically change. -
Laley23Those with Reggie Wayne, keep in mind Austin Collie will be back this week.

Don't forget about TY Hilton -

I'd definitely say Wayne is the safer pick, but Davis has the higher upside. Take your pick from that.jmog;1268968 wrote:Ok, our lineup is nearly fully flex.

I'd go with Martin. I'm predicting Shanihanigans to cause trouble for owners of Redskins RBs.Crimson streak;1269063 wrote:Doug Martin or Morris? -

Yeah, the reason I am leaning toward Wayne is he was targeted 18 times Sunday while Davis only 4.O-Trap;1269082 wrote:I'd definitely say Wayne is the safer pick, but Davis has the higher upside. Take your pick from that.
I know Collie is coming back but that also makes less coverage on Wayne doesn't?
The upside of Davis with our scoring system is the only thing making this hard.
