"Who To Start" questions
-
O-TrapGiven that the season is right around the corner, I figured this would be appropriate. Instead of having a zillion different one-off threads asking for who-to-start advice mixed in with the trade questions, I figured it would be easy to just post them in here.
If you answer, just quote the post, and it'll keep everything pretty easy to navigate without the added clutter of trying to navigate between trade topics. -
said_aouitaAndy Dalton or RGiii?
Right now I have AD starting but since against Baltimore I'm questioning it. -

As someone who owned, and had to start, Dalton for a lot of last year, I can tell you my average experience with him.said_aouita;1259025 wrote:Andy Dalton or RGiii?

180-200 passing yards
0-1 TD pass
0-1 INT
He was pretty consistent in that he pretty much never killed me with an implosion performance, but he seemed to have a low ceiling.
Honestly, I don't see RG3 putting up worse numbers than that. I'd roll with Griffin. -

You wait until like the 12th round to draft a qb or something?said_aouita;1259025 wrote:Andy Dalton or RGiii?

First fantasy attempt ever. Auto draft on the OC free league I tried starting. Think theirs only like a half dozen people.Rotinaj;1259254 wrote:You wait until like the 12th round to draft a qb or something?
Calvin Johnson
Antonio Brown
Miles Austin
Steven Jackson RB
Gronk TE
Ahmad Bradshaw
Reggie Wayne
Robert Mechem
Buffalo and Houston are defense -
MulvaHow about Shonn Greene or Jonathan Stewart? 3rd rb spot.

O-Trap
That's a tough one, but I'm gonna say Greene, at least for this week. Stewart still plays somewhat second fiddle to DeAngelo Williams. Last I heard, Sanchez is the starter, so Greene won't have his QB stealing too many rushes, but if Tebow comes in sometime this season, that may change.Mulva;1259875 wrote:How about Shonn Greene or Jonathan Stewart? 3rd rb spot. -

Greene for sure. Not only do you have to worry about Williams but also that touchdown thief mike Tolbert.Mulva;1259875 wrote:How about Shonn Greene or Jonathan Stewart? 3rd rb spot. -

I go with Jackson. Martin is still unproven on game day and Tampa could be doing some catch up against Carolina (more passing, less opportunities for Martin). Jackson is the safe bet and you can probably bet that the Jets won't have so great a lead as to force Buffalo into all out pass mode.Crimson streak;1261049 wrote:Doug Martin vs Carolina or Fred Jackson vs jets -
gorocks99Rashad Jennings or MJD vs Minnesota?
I know Mularky said MJD will be the 3rd down back but I gotta think if they're in a tight one with a chance to win they might choose to ride MJD late. I'm still leaning Jennings but could be persuaded otherwise. -

Rex Ryan is saying they're going to run the wildcat a little bit. I'll be interested to see how that plays into it.Mulva;1259875 wrote:How about Shonn Greene or Jonathan Stewart? 3rd rb spot. -
O-Trap12-man Half-PPR. 8 receiving yards per point. 10 rushing yards per point.
I need a flex spot. WR or RB only.
WR Nate Washington
RB Beanie Wells
WR David Nelson
WR James Jones
Britt's out this week, so I like Washington, but with the Arizona passing game in disarray, I'm thinking Beanie will get the touches. Nelson is a big redzone target (tied for 4th most redzone targets last year with Calvin Johnson), plus he's huge (6'5") and physical. James Jones is probably the odd man out in the GB receiving corp., but Rodgers does like to spread the rock, so he's almost guaranteed at least something. -
gorocks99I go Wells. Your other guys are iffy on how many touches they'll get, Wells should get at least 15.
-
O-TrapYeah, the only other one I really thought was in contention was Washington. With Britt out, he seems like he's going to be the guy for Tennessee in week 1.
Then I remembered they have 4.24. He'll get most of the touches, I bet.
Good call on Wells. -
jmogPPR (kind of) scoring...
RB-Lynch @ Arizona or Mathews @ Oakland (reminder, Mathews is questionable with his collar bone)
WR-Marshall v Indy or S. Smith (CAR) @ Tampa
My #1s at each position is Rice and AJ Green. -
