fish82Obama: US would go bankrupt without health changes
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100402/ap_on_bi_ge/us_obama_health_care_overhaul
Complete and utter bullshit. The fact that the press never calls his ass out when he spews this crap speaks volumes.WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama says he did a full court press for a health care system remake because "this country was going to go bankrupt."
Yeah. Then why the full court press to sell it? If it's worth a shit, it wouldn't need selling. Period. At the same time, Obama said in a nationally broadcast interview Friday he isn't worried that his bold reach for a $1.3 trillion, 10-year makeover might cause his public approval ratings to plummet. He told CBS's "The Early Show" that forcing changes in the system was "the right thing to do." -

meh I dunno...I've seen some pretty good ads on tv for things that I wouldn't have bought or known about if it weren't for the ad...marketing majors would probably disagree with your last statement.fish82 wrote: Obama: US would go bankrupt without health changes

It might look like many fell on their swords, but I doubt it. My hunch is that they all have been promised cushy administrative/cabinet/department head positions in return for their socialist vote.jhay78 wrote: ^^Amazing how many liberal politicans were willing to fall on their swords and end their political careers all for a government takeover of healthcare.

Yes kind of like the cushy jobs that were given to the Wall Street suits the Republican gave that served on the regulatory board of their former corporations. Pick your poison.QuakerOats wrote:

Exactly, and this brings up a good point about regulatory capture. We see cycles of privatization, then excess, then collapse, then regulation, the industry capture (where the industry ends up regulating itself), then waste, then privatization, etc. The only people willing to spend the time and money on the regulatory bodies are those who are being regulated. Inevitably, those bodies end up being tainted by the industry they're supposed to oversee, and we have all sorts of problems.Bigdogg wrote: Yes kind of like the cushy jobs that were given to the Wall Street suits the Republican gave that served on the regulatory board of their former corporations.
