    Moore's probably ready to kill this idiot (the state auditor). With one response, he (the auditor) was able to suggest his (Moore's) guilt, justify pedophilia and then alienate people who aren't looking to Christianity to influence their voting.

    As I posted originally; if he is guilty of the allegations he should go, and "deservedly so". Not hard to understand.

    When someone actually proves guilt in a court of law, as opposed to you simply saying he's guilty based on allegations in a weak-ass attempt to deflect from the current allegations against Moore. At least that'd be my guess.

    Unless more women come out, or they provide on camera interviews and provide evidence, the party will still support him.

    I've grown so cynical over the last year, that I say nothing happens to Moore, he still wins the seat by a wide margin, and will serve in the Senate. It is Alabama after all.

    On any side, there's something that doesn't sit well with me in regard to the idea of indicting anyone, even if just in the court of public opinion, based exclusively on someone else's accusation.

    I understand the delicate nature of doubting someone who has been abused and/or assaulted, and I'm certainly not lost on the notion that men have traditionally gotten away with assault far too often in our history. But it seems to me that there has to be an alternative that doesn't mean a presumption of guilt at the first claim of assault.

    Yeah, I have thought about that a little recently. But, the accusations have been so damning and, recently, been correct.
    I do wonder where the tipping point occurs where people just starting chasing stories and shoddy reporting leads to false stories.

    I will say this Post story is pretty well sourced and tight on sources and methods.

    Still, I doubt it means Moore steps aside or loses.

    Oh, you're probably right on that last part, and I didn't necessarily mean that about this case exclusively. I just meant that were the crime itself any other brand of crime, I doubt we'd see such a mob mentality.

    And again, though I understand the problem with doubting the testimony of an assault victim, I can't say I trust that nobody would abuse an assumption of truth for anyone who comes forward claiming to be the victim of assault.

    Just seems like the public would be quick to side with the accuser to a concerning degree.

    The power of that accusation has definitely been weaponized. Before you might have said it's a really tough thing to come forward with and so they deserve benefit of the doubt, but with all the BS swirling around with the "#Metoo" campaigns, etc....it's almost empowering and a badge of courage to accuse someone now.

    Normally when there are multiple complaints, then you go "ok, there's something there". But some of the stories I'm seeing on this Hollywood stuff make me go "hmmm....that seems embellished, at a minimum".

    I mean, the story on Louis C.K. OK, he's got at least 4 women accusing him so he's a dirtball. But he gets to his room with the two women, and immediately (as they describe it).....ASKS if he can whip it out.....then whips it out anyway....and starts masturbating. Who does that? Why do so many of these stories involve solo perving....just bizarre to me, and I think for one reason or another "facts" are being changed or made-up
