    I still think she needs to be locked up. It's not like people didn't know he was a democrat until not very long ago and that he (Trump) schmoozed it up with all the NY elites including the Clintons.
    I'm not surprised at all that he's not going to pursue it now.

    They were placated in that she will not be rewarded with the office of POTUS. They will live with it if he can get other items they favor and he promised done.

    Personally I can not rectify "you'd be in jail" with "I have a lot of respect". It's like Comey laying out a legal case for her indictment then doing a 180 and saying there is no legal reason to indict.

    The Clintons still hold a lot of political power in Washington its obvious he has been advised to make peace in order to limit road blocks. Its a cesspool and anyone that believes that someone can waltz in an just pull the plug is deceived.

    Ok, so he wants to build the wall, how will it be procured?
    Will it be DHS that leads the procurement? DHS uses a Coast Guard multiple award contract for construction. They might use that, but it will need to be extended and expanded "big league".
    Will it be the Army Corps, Southwestern and South Pacific Divisions? They have contract vehicles to use, but none nowhere close to the proper value needed.
    I also wonder what the specs will be, and then how bids will be selected.

    If I had to guess, it will be out of the Army Corps and be procured through a series of contracts and contract vehicles that will balloon the costs and bids.
    That is also not fast. Procurement will probably take a year plus and that assumes no snags in law suits or budget. Plus, most Contracting Offices are already spread thin right now with work.

    I don't mind the wall actually, but I'll believe it when I see it.

    Regarding the issue illegal immigration, wouldn't you start with sanctions against housing and employment providers? But I'm guessing that makes too much sense.

    Me thinks they are more concerned with the agenda-driven gravy train coming to a halt. And, of course, funding has already been frozen or flatlined for several years. It's another thread, but the global warming alarmists are really going to struggle to tread water now that they've lost WH support.

    What point are you trying to make here? You are just throwing out contract buzz words currently. Contract vehicles aren't the only way to procure a good/service for the government. The only thing that makes sense with what you said is it will take awhile to be procured.

    I'm just spitballing and wondering how it will be procured is all. I know vehicles aren't the only tools, could be a series of contracts. Again, just guessing...
    This could be the largest construction project, or series of projects, since the BRAC of 2009.

    Great! So it's still a massive public work by BIG government. I'd love to see Trump divert funds from DoD spending to build the wall then. Also needs to increase taxes to pay for it otherwise he will continue to mount up national debt and burden future generations with more BIG government spending.
