Impressed by Trump administration

Trump not taking the $400,000 presidential salary; nice gesture.

Most, if not all politicians, are takers.

But, but, but, but, but, but...

I have nothing, but I'm sure his opposition will find a way to spin it.

It's already being spun. He just just doesn't want to pay taxes on the $400k.

He should take and give it to charity. Why let the government waste it

    Excellent point.

Maybe donate it to the Trump Foundation, and take the tax writeoff ---- win/win. LOL
  • Con_Alma
That's what Hoover and Kennedy did.

Donate it to The Human Fund.

    Donate it to Planned Parenthood.

Same here. But, if the market for oil tanks though due to too much supply, that will have negative economic impacts as well.
Con_Alma;1824574 wrote:...and you can say bye, bye to the Iran deal.

If Mr. Trump strictly enforces this deal Iran will back out.
Perhaps, perhaps not. That is a multinational agreement and I would rather the President elect look into the implications of pulling out, such as having the IAEA kicked out, before totally killing it.

Oh, I agree. I actually like he is not taking it. He should donate it. But, then again, we won't know until he releases his freaking tax returns.
  • QuakerOats
If we can eliminate the IRS and move to a national sales tax instead of an income tax, then tax returns will be moot. We can only hope.

Agreed. I'd start getting a little twitchy if gas were to hit $1.00. Anywhere between $1.50-$1.99 is fine IMO.

Massive new find in Permian area; largest US shale play ever. And to think liberals told us decades ago about peak oil; God help us had they been in complete charge of energy. And yet, some people continue to soak up their climate change drivel.

There are clearly more plausible ones. That's ridiculous.

My bet is that he likes the good press more than he needs a $400,000 salary.

Well, so much for us getting $1.00 gas this week. :)

Yeah, every time Ohio ticks above the national average, it's usually that or a refinery issue somewhere in the Midwest.

BTW the new discovery in TX also includes an extra 16 trillion cubic feet of nat gas.

Ford keeping its Lincoln manufacturing plant in Kentucky, not moving it to Mexico. That's good right?

very good.. i mean they made the announcment well over a year ago so it has nothing to do with Trump.. but very good old news nonetheless.

That's an idea but he should be able to donate his own money to whatever charity he desires.
I think it's a great idea that liberals are making donations to Planned Parenthood. In this way, support for this organization can be voluntary, and we can remove it from the public dole, so that people that are abhorred by its practices aren't taxed to support it against their will.

"Spokeswoman Christin Baker said Ford "confirmed with the President-elect that our small Lincoln utility vehicle made at the Louisville Assembly plant will stay in Kentucky".

"We are encouraged that President-elect Trump and the new Congress will pursue policies that will improve U.S. competitiveness and make it possible to keep production of this vehicle here in the United States," she added, in a statement."

The MKC was supposed to go to Mexico.
