Disgusted with Trump administration - Part I

Just for the record, I am not claiming its a real medical condition lol.

I actually never heard of the term TDS until QO brought it up, but it's easy to understand what the term is referring to imo.

I was simply stating there are plenty examples of people acting wacko, because they can't get over the fact that Trump was elected. I think another way to describe it is they are rattled, or if you are into poker they are on "tilt."

Seems like it. I think he's got PTSD from his years of having ODS (Obama Derangement Syndrome)

Sure. It seems like it's waned since the actual election, though. You're not getting the people wailing and gnashing their teeth in the streets anymore. It's still the beautifully consistent blind partisan hatred that we've all come to know and love.

Or, at the very least, I haven't heard or seen people doing this for awhile (lulz for the death metal audio):

I think there are two ways to looks at his posts about TDS.

    1. He's an overzealous, blindly partisan "all that's wrong about politics" cheerleader for the Rs who sincerely believes everything he says (and everything any right-wing blog says), no matter how ridiculous it makes him look to normal people, regardless of affiliation. Because he saw it as a buzzword, it's real!

    2. He's an elaborate troll act who portrays himself as the sort of blindly partisan nutjob that makes normal people want to disassociate themselves from him, even if they agree on various core matters. All in an attempt to make right-wingers in general look like hilariously crazy freaks. Basically Sleeper with a focused and consistent act (as opposed to being all over the place and abruptly changing views in order to troll different people).

I mean, could there be a third option somewhere in the middle ground? Not impossible, but improbable. IMO, it's up to each of us individually to decide if he's sincere, but crazy OR a troll with a hell of a lot of free time...and the answer to that will determine the answer to if he thinks TDS is actually a real medical thing.

To me the difference is the over-the-top and continued reaction from the liberal media. Whether it's "TDS" or simply a hack partisan assault on the Administration might be a distinction without a difference, but with respect to the media this is rather different from traditional bias and criticism.

To be fair, Trump also pokes the bear on a daily basis. So some TDS is certainly self-inflicted.

It's like leaving your home's front door open when you go out for the evening. The theft is still 100% on the thief, but it's also a really bad idea to make the theft so easy.

To also be fair, we saw this same type of behavior when Bush was president, so guess it isn't fair to label it "TDS." This is why the "well its Trump" excuse is a cop out imo. There is no doubt we would see the same shit if any other republican candidate won.

I guess living in DC gives me a slanted perspective, because it is still very dramatic here lol.

We never saw near this level of mainstream Bush-menstrutation.

And not to support the "drain the swamp"meme, but a goood GYF

I have zero doubt that that is true. DC is kind of its own animal, though. From a political climate perspective, it really probably doesn't represent the rest of the country well.

Think of it weather. Hawaii's weather might be intensely nice, but it doesn't really represent the weather in the rest of the country well.

There were A LOT of people who thought Bush was the devil. You could even argue it was going on with Clinton and everybody thought he was terrible getting a blow job and defining the word is. I feel like the other side escalated when Obama was president and now the train is really off the tracks with Trump. Can't wait to see what the next president brings.

If twitter/facebook, and smaller left wing media sources (Atlantic, salon, huffpo, etc), were as prevalent as they are now, we wouldn't see much of a difference imo.

Allegedly, some group has submitted papers for Dwayne Johnson to be a candidate in 2020.

    What a circus ...

No. But we did during Obama's admin. The attitudes Trumpsters are complaining about now are exactly the same ones they showed for eight years. That doesn't make it right, but I don't think this is unprecedented.

It was nowhere near as bad as it is now and when Bush was president.

“His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald's being — you know, shot. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous,” Trump said Tuesday during a phone interview with Fox News. “What is this, right prior to his being shot, and nobody even brings it up. They don't even talk about that. That was reported, and nobody talks about it.”
“I mean, what was he doing — what was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before the death? Before the shooting?” Trump continued. “It’s horrible.”

"He doesn't have a birth certificate. He may have one, but there's something on that, maybe religion, maybe it says he is a Muslim," Trump told Fox News . "I don't know. Maybe he doesn't want that."

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Mr. Trump said during a news conference

Trump deserve every negative thing he gets from the press

Oh, yeah, forgot his brother stole the election for him.

But I felt like the vast majority of people eventually accepted Bush as legitimate. It wasn't until the WMD "lie" that the hate machine really fired up.

Not even close. The right and left both have their relatively small percentage of people unhinged. We did not see anywhere near this level of hysteria in the media. Even Fox News actually runs about 50% more negative stories on Trump.

Also, most criticism of Obama - most mainstream criticism from media and non-partisans - was entirely legitimate focused on policy and decisions. With Trump, we get such gems as "puts ketchup on an overdone steak....didn't book a hotel....got snubbed by Poland's first lady....got rebuked by his first lady"....and on and on and on - lots of trivial things that probably happen in every administration but don't qualify as newsworthy unless you're pumping the hysteria machine.
