It's not just that Hannity is a blowhard, he's an idiot.
No way you could have actually listened to (more than once) both Hannity and Rush and have the opinion that Hannity is more right wing than Rush. No way...

Yes, 100%. Hannity is very right wing (easily the most right wing of any popular hosts), and an idiot.

Signs into law Obama's fiduciary rule, his followers say he's rolling back Obama's crippling regulations. Lol riiiight.

That rule is outside the CRA ..........so it will be going back through public comment periods and a re-write. He can't just violate the law and the constitution (even though it might make sense) like his predecessor did.

Glad the media finally started holding government accountable. Too bad they were asleep the last 8 years.

I have been reading criticisms and call outs of Obama ever since he came into office.

I'm not really sure what you're looking for. I can easily find articles criticizing all aspects of Obama's presidency: those written at the time and those reflecting upon it at the end. Try any type of Google search and I think you'll see the same.

Every president in office receives loads of criticism in the media. The criticism is not hard to find at all. What Trump is now receiving is no different than what Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, etc. all faced. The vitriol today is harsher, but that comes from political commentators' being more prevalent on the peripheries of the media.

Right wingers think liberal presidents get a break. Left wingers think conservative presidents get a break. There never will be any consensus in this because everyone of us sees the environment through our own lenses.

So three sources that aren't mainstream media and a Wapo opinion piece that gives him way too much credit.

Winston isn't really intelligent if he posts that and believed it

There was plenty more. My point is that we will always see things through our own biases. Saying a particular side doesn't get a fair shake from the news media doesn't make it a fact. From your perspective, Obama had it easier than Trump does. I don't agree. We both watch the same thing through two different lenses

I can't vouch for my intelligence or lack thereof. My middle school daughter often thinks I'm the dumbest person in the history of the universe.

Jmog has posted scientific studies showing that I'm right.

I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to realize most of the mainstream media leans left (to be generous), and are simply not as tough on Dems as they are on Repubs. And Obama is a completely different animal, because he was a historic POTUS and clearly someone the Dems hope to be the face of the party for the next 30 years.

Just because you see media being easier on dems than repubs doesn't make is so. I don't think something like that can ever be proven because people see it through their own lense, bias, experience, preexisting attitude, etc. Both sides claim the media is biased toward them. I think that's because it's human nature to see criticism of your stance/yourself as an act of hostility. Plus claiming media bias is a great way to rally support kind of like a coach or player does when he/she says, "everyone doubted us" or "no one believed in us".

Would you accept a little scientific proof?

I am not arguing whether or not the media is biased. In my view, it's not something that can truly be objectively measured. Studies to do that are criticized almost like the media outlets they attempt to measure.

I found this article which does a better job of laying out this point than I do: https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/style/how-biased-is-the-media-really/2012/04/27/gIQA9jYLmT_story.html?utm_term=.b697740547a2

My original point is that you claimed the media was "asleep" during Obama's presidency. I don't agree. From my admittedly subjective perspective, I saw him constantly being criticized. Because of my political leanings, I thought the coverage was biased and unfair at times. You could have looked at the same coverage and come to the very opposite conclusion. Ultimately this perception is a subjective thing.

The media admitted it was time to "wake up" when Trump got elected.
    I've shown you scientific studies.
You're jyst being an ass at this point.

In general, the bulk of the media is significantly more sympathetic toward democrats than they are toward republicans.

It's been proven by numerous credible studies...and is a fact that's really not disputable.

DWO is pretty much doubling down on dumb ITT.

It absolutely can, and has. Or can you just use common sense to see that "fair and objective" is applied differently by left and right sources to Dems and Repubs. And since the "mainsteam media" is dominated by left leaning organizations and reporters, it goes without saying that the overall media generally skew left.

There are "scientific" studies that show all sorts of things. A professor attempting to quantify something which, by its nature, isn't quantifiable doesn't change my point. I am not saying you are wrong or right. What I am saying is that none of us can look at the question impartially. We have opinions and prejudices that affect how we see something like this.

Why do you call me an ass for expressing an opinion on an internet message board dedicated to politics? Isn't that what the forum is for?

Sleeper was condescending and insulting. I'm not trying to be either. I come on here to debate and have a little fun in doing so. If someone disagrees with my point of view, that's fine. That doesn't make them an ass or dumbass or whatever. We disagree. So what. What fun is a political forum if everyone held the exact same opinions in lockstep? That'd be boring as hell.
