You say that about every poster who calls out your bullshit. At what point do you have a self realization that you are a know-it-all douche and not as smart as you think you are?ZWICK 4 PREZ;1779887 wrote:And you'll continue to chime in with an inane response that has nothing to do with a thread b/c that's your thing. -
GOONx19I am a doctor of pharmacy, douchebag. I know more about drugs than your physician, which is why he has to send a request to one of my colleagues when he wants to give you one.

So you're a Pharmacist? Yeah you would know a bit about drugs, I'd imagine. I do apologize. Given recommendations from a physician, and the fact its otc other places would lead me to believe it's pretty safe as well.GOONx19;1779906 wrote:I am a doctor of pharmacy, douchebag. No I really only say it to you b/c you're a true idiot. I at least respect like_that and COA b/c they're decently smart guys. You on the other hand only say idiotic shit.SportsAndLady;1779905 wrote:You say that about every poster who calls out your bullshit. I agree. But how do you fix that? That line of logic of rightfully blaming parents doesn't go over well when discussing education reform.FatHobbit;1779840 wrote:I would argue the system isn't broken for people who give a shit. IMHO it's not fair to blame teachers for students who don't care. The blame lies with their parents in most cases. -

Yes haha, and am on two IRBs, one at my institution and one for a national organization for research. That is why I was interested when I saw a post about medicine practices in other countries.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1779912 wrote:So you're a Pharmacist? Yeah you would know a bit about drugs, I'd imagine. I agree that it is one of the safer prescription medications, and your doctor was correct in that it has little risk of contributing to liver problems down the line. I apologize for getting defensive and am happy to end the discussion for the time being, as I really have little interest in debating about Pharma. -

LOL ok. Ignore me then, keep being an idiot, so that we can all continue to laugh at your dumbass shit.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1779913 wrote:No I really only say it to you b/c you're a true idiot. Not your fault, it was mine. And there's not really a discussion to have lol. You're a pharmacist and I have words from a doctor who saw me for 3 minutes.GOONx19;1779917 wrote: I apologize for getting defensive and am happy to end the discussion for the time being, as I really have little interest in debating about Pharma. -

why would I want to ignore you? Your melodramatic shtick is very entertaining. Cavs lost last night, did you go on a rampage about how worthless Kevin Love is yet? I haven't been over there to check.SportsAndLady;1779922 wrote:LOL ok. Ignore me then, keep being an idiot, so that we can all continue to laugh at your dumbass shit. -

Next time you need life saving surgery, please go to India. You're either delusional or intentionally obtuse to defend your trash candidate; which is it? -

People keep pointing to various European countries as examples (usually different ones for different things, which is telling)...yet they never realize they are actually making strong arguments for state rights. What works in Scotland isn't going to work in all the ECU any more than it would in all the US.Glory Days;1779847 wrote:I believe what some European countries do(I think the Scandinavian ones) is you take a test to determine what your career will be. If you test to be a doctor and actually want to be a doctor, they pay for your college. if you test to be an engineer, they pay for you to be an engineer etc...but if you test to be an accountant and instead want to be an architect, you have to pay to get the schooling. -

You fix this by not promoting everyone to the next grade, regardless of their lack of mastery of the subject mattersleeper;1779915 wrote:I agree. But how do you fix that? That line of logic of rightfully blaming parents doesn't go over well when discussing education reform.
You fix this by making trade schools bigger and a better option for those who either don't care or don't have the ability to complete a college prep program
You fix this by instilling in people that a college education is a PRIVILEGE, and not a right.
You fix this by backing the teachers and school administration in their efforts to discipline kids and enforce the rules of the school.
That would be a start -

None of this will ever happen. We've jumped the shark on personal responsibility in this country and its now blame others for your failures.wkfan;1779959 wrote:You fix this by not promoting everyone to the next grade, regardless of their lack of mastery of the subject matter

Which happens because holding them back punishes the schools/teachers more than the student.wkfan;1779959 wrote:You fix this by not promoting everyone to the next grade, regardless of their lack of mastery of the subject matter
This. Not everyone is built to be a college student.wkfan;1779959 wrote:You fix this by making trade schools bigger and a better option for those who either don't care or don't have the ability to complete a college prep program
Absolutely. Too many kids don't take the k-12 education right seriously enough right now.wkfan;1779959 wrote:You fix this by instilling in people that a college education is a PRIVILEGE, and not a right.
Yup. Too many kids act like they can do whatever they want with no punishment.wkfan;1779959 wrote:You fix this by backing the teachers and school administration in their efforts to discipline kids and enforce the rules of the school. -

I disagree.hasbeen;1779973 wrote:Which happens because holding them back punishes the schools/teachers more than the student.
This happens because the school administration leaves this decision to the parents rather than having the kehones to say that Johnny is staying in 2nd grade for another year because it is the best thing for his education. -

I don't have direct knowledge here, but are you saying school principals or district office admins?wkfan;1779976 wrote:I disagree.

Middle and High school is much more objective. Pass the class, earn the credits, graduate. -

Bingo. Marco Rubio noted this in the first Republican debate. We don't need more college educated philosophy and psychology majors...we need trade workers....something that is pretty obvious to most people who own a business looking to hire people in the skilled trades. It illustrates just how out of touch the socialist candidate is with the actual needs of this country. Of course, if your priority is securing votes rather than what is good for the country.......You fix this by making trade schools bigger and a better option for those who either don't care or don't have the ability to complete a college prep program -

In many states, the kids are passed along because grade completion rates and graduation rates are tied into school funding either directly or indirectly.wkfan;1779976 wrote:I disagree.

like_thatLooks like I missed a lot of action here today. Too much to catch up, so I am slightly changing the subject.
I know everyone wants to pile on trump for losing and having sour grapes, but does anyone else think he has a legitimate gripe for cruz being a slimy pos? http://www.businessinsider.com/ted-cruz-donald-trump-iowa-caucus-ben-carson-2016-2 -

No for several reasons. Very dumb of the Carson campaign to put that statement out there. It was fair game. None of this happens without the Carson campaign putting out this ill timed information. Had I saw the CNN report 15 minutes before the start of the caucus and I was a Carson voter I most definitely would have had second thoughts. In the end likely only a small amount of the Carson caucusers were even aware of this. Those that were made aware of it solely by Cruz caucusers would have been very skeptical and l highly doubt many would change their vote.like_that;1780026 wrote:I know everyone wants to pile on trump for losing and having sour grapes, but does anyone else think he has a legitimate gripe for cruz being a slimy pos? http://www.businessinsider.com/ted-cruz-donald-trump-iowa-caucus-ben-carson-2016-2
This is the CNN report. They were insinuating the same thing.

majorsparkAlso this is a foolhardy way to defeat Cruz in the primary. Trump looks to the Republican primary voters to be using the tactics of the leftist democrats to excess. Threatening to sue? Wanting a redo of Iowa which is not even in the realm of possibility. The numbers don't even come close to supporting a lawsuit. You would have to be talking massive fraudulent activity. Most are smart enough to only bring suit in extremely close elections. With the Karl Rove types jumping on board with this idiocy it makes Cruz look even more the anti-establishment candidate.

Even if it isn't cheating, I think it is bush league at best. I will also admit that I hate Cruz, and I hope this is something that negatively affects him.majorspark;1780036 wrote:No for several reasons. Karl Rove hates Trump though. I don't think this helps Cruz look like the anti establishment candidate at all. I think it reaffirms voters' feelings that he is a slime ball.majorspark;1780046 wrote:Also this is a foolhardy way to defeat Cruz in the primary. I guess we will have a better idea tuesday to see how this affects all of them. I think we will start to see the Rubio surge though. He is already having a surge in the Polls for NH, which is a state he didn't spend much time on.
