I have liked Trump over Cruz but now that Rubio has shown some grit the Rubio/Kasich ticket I would vote for... we agree.

Rubio/ Kasich would bring states into play that the R's lost in 08 and 12. That is the only way the R's can work the math to win.

Kinda surprised by Cruz last night, and really Rubio.
Also goes to show how hard it is for the polls to predict the winner and how the narrative going into yesterday was just wrong.

The Good Wife gave a good portrayal of what happens in last month's episode entitled "Iowa".

Rubio/Kasich is the ticket that gives the pubs The best chance to win IMHO. The question is, will Jeb Bush's Super PAC destroy Rubio? Also, what of these alt-right anti-immigration republicans that Trump has mobilized and who hate Rubio?

But, you're kidding yourself if you think Rubio isn't damn near as close to the Republican version of Obama as it gets. Embrace it. Obama won twice.

The caucus system is everything wrong with politics, other than big money (although money does change hands).

Well, it's not like anyone thinks the Bern can actually win a national election.

That's true, well except for like, you knows, polls.

Yeah, because polls are so reliable...especially 10 months before an election. The old, angry white socialist is un-electable, and most Dems know it.

Bernie can't get the swing states Obama won in 08 and 12 like Iowa, Ohio, Virginia, and North Carolina. He won't get them especially if Rubio or Kasich are the R choices.

especially 10 months before the election is right... except Bernie is trending the other way and gaining ground. All early polls said he had no chance. They've all changed. Because you don't like him doesn't make him unelectable lol

Ironically, I watched that episode last night.

Why's this? He's polling better among young voters than Obama did. His major fault will be with minorities if those polls are correct. If he doesn't have their vote, he doesn't stand a chance. The only group he doesn't poll well in is women.. I wonder who they support?

Outside of the first two states Bernie is on average 20% below Hillary in all other states.

Because Obama was able to swing moderates over to his side in those states in 08 and 12. Bernie will not be able to do that. His Socialism will be too much for moderates and independents that makes up those key states.

The same rule applies to the R's too.

Then again, and interesting thought is what happens if it is say Bernie and Cruz, do the moderates stay away?

and if you look they haven't updated most of those polls since September of last year. Remember Hillary was up 20 pts in Iowa in September too. We'll see what he's polling closer to primary time. But like I said.. if he hasn't made ground on minority vote, he wont stand a chance

I would love it if Mr. Sanders won the Democrat Party nomination...absolutely love it.
  • ZWICK 4 PREZ
So how exactly does Bernie poll against Republicans?
  • sleeper
Based on the results last night, might as well start it now:

    "President Clinton"

So would Republicans....unless Cruz or possibly Trump wins. Only real chance Bernie has.

If it looks like Bernie can actually take the nomination, or if Hillary's emails become a real problem....in comes Joe Biden to the rescue!!!

purely for entertainment purposes, I would LOVE to see a Trump-Sanders debate....almost as good as Trump-Biden trying to out-bully and out-assclown each other.

    ...Iowa is a joke!

Hillary won a handful of precincts by a coin flip? She should crow about this win!!!

I read that too. The one I read said there were 6 known coin tosses and Hillary won them all.
