Lol, I do love the humor in this.

    1. Clinton and Sanders are, at least in the first couple states, very close.

    2. Clinton is the one that has the support of the DNC, various networks, etc.; leading to things like debates being held on Saturday nights during the middle of CFB season in order to bury them beneath the notice of a large section of the populace.

    3. Clinton doesn't just win enough of these magic coin-flips to take the caucus, but gets all of them.

Things that make you go "Hmmmmm"?

Undoubtedly consulted Bill Belichick on how to win coin flips.

Good Lord. That might be too much. It would escalate to embarrassing very quickly.

Kinda surprised by Cruz last night, and really Rubio.
Also goes to show how hard it is for the polls to predict the winner and how the narrative going into yesterday was just wrong.
I agree on the Rubio/Kasich point, although I would prefer Kasich/Rubio, as mentioned previously.

I also don't mind Cruz at all --- would love to watch him completely dismantle Clinton in a debate.

The Iowa Caucus is weird and not relevant, IMO.

After learning more about it, I agree.

The thing is many major newspapers including the Boston Globe have endorsed Kasich. He is easily the best candidate IMO but the American public are so mad they're just doing stupid shit. Just one of the worst elections ever

Iowa is obviously not a great indicator. I think people sometimes use polls to express dissatisfaction, and actually vote differently than they say. We know Trump polled very well in Iowa, but a good number of them apparently didn't feel strongly enough to actually go vote for him or changed their preference.

I don't see how Trump wins the nomination. I think it's very possible we end-up with a brokered convention. Now, maybe Trump has the most delegates, but not enough to win the nomination. It's not believe he can win the national election, so delegates ultimately consolidate for someone else. Then does Trump cry like a baby and run independently, handing the election to the Dems?

I don't care if Bernie Sanders is considered "unelectable". The very fact that he promotes socialism in what is, and should be a bastion against it, irritates me to no end. I look at him and his history of anti American sentiment and wonder how this self proclaimed "social democrat" misleads the naïve younger voter who clearly don't understand this country's struggle and opposition to socialism and all that it embodies and entails....because if they did, they would run from him as a child who runs from the stranger offering candy to get into his car. The man may be sincere and he may be principled... but he is poison. It should be noted, by all who know their history that it was exactly 100 years ago when the Bolsheviks began their rise to power in Russia.... and they took power in 1917. Also not lost is the terminology "social democrat" and the fact that Sanders himself proclaims last night that a "political revolution" has begun.

Maybe if people would criticize Bernie's proposals on the merits and stop acting like the world would end if Bernie enacted his plans (essentially the same policies that have been in place in Canada since the 60's) people who dislike his agenda would be more persuasive.

Again, a man you have quoted on here multiple times - Martin Luther King - also referred to himself as a Democratic Socialist and he has a National Holiday.

No need to be so dramatic. America will be just fine. Whatever you want to call it Capitalist Democracies with Welfare States are what crushed the spine of the Socialism adhered to by the Bolsheviks in the first place.

When ordinary working people aren't starving in the streets, can go to the doctor without going bankrupt and feel a sense of reasonable opportunity, seizing the means of production from the capitalists with pitch forks doesn't seem like such a great idea.

    It will be ok.

No kidding.. Hopefully he'd never institute something socialist like Social security or Medicare. There's no place for that kind of Socialism in USA USA USA!!

^^^ oh give me a break. Is that what is used to justify more egregious encroachments and the rhetoric? This is just more evidence that if you give the socialists just an inch they'll want a mile.

I think you are going a little too far in comparing him to Communist Russia like he is Lenin or Stalin. He is a Hippie European socialist who has terrible ideas not the guy trying to establish the Soviet Union of America.

Exactly my point. Far too much attention is spent on Hillary. It is dangerous and short sighted to pooh pooh Sanders' electability for this election. He and his ideas should be attacked and discredited at every point. We cannot allow the neo-Bolsheviks to continue to run their playbook, and to destroy our posterity. History does and will repeat itself, and our way of life, our system of economics, and our constitutional republic must be defended.

This is a classic Bernie supporter argument when they realize democratic socialism is indeed socialism and their savior is in fact a socialist.

"Well our liberal president in the 30's who introduced us to deficit spending passed social security, so it's ok to go full blown socialism now even though our country was built on capitalism! It's ok though because our economy is already not doing well so we might as well get this temporary/short term fix in so poor people can feel a little less poor!"

    /berniesupporterlogic

Also lol at using social security to prove a point considering how it's going to shit.

Sorry zwick, I'd prefer to be a world power while I am alive and pass it on to my children if I have any. If you're ok with setting up your kid(s) to be in a shitty situation at age 18-25, then more power to you I suppose.

Not to mention comparing social security to something like free college education.

News flash to libs: not everyone deserves to go to college and they'll be just fine without it.

You enjoy economies that have spectacularly collapsed twice in 80 years too lol ? Of course, that wasn't an indictment on our capitalistic economy.. always someone else's fault.

Kasich has received several endorsements from Iiberal newspapers. That may not be a good thing when trying to win the GOP nomination.

No you don't...schools are supported by tax revenues, such that everyone can obtain a high school education. It is not free. People must vote to provide a level of support and have direct input as to how their schools are run.

Nothing is free except the air we breathe.
