I read the first paragraph and it cited "that one wire report" and knew what I was getting into. Great journalism. Ambiguity in the first 10 words. -

gosh a ruddies. sure you did, lol, You are one of those Republican primary voters that helped Alan Keyes earn 1 lone delegate out of the 1978 at the 1996 Republican Convention.majorspark;1776521 wrote:Prior to my birth I am not sure how I could be fine with anything. lol... Of course you did . It's mostly all public record... And it's NOT Fox News.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1776536 wrote:I read the first paragraph and it cited "that one wire report" and knew what I was getting into. Great journalism. Ambiguity in the first 10 words. -

My guess is Fish would consider Obama or Biden to be formidable opponents this time around but he is convinced Hillary is going to blow it because she is not all that charismatic/likable and she tends to do that sort of thing e.g. blowing it to an upstart one term Senator. Personally I think this underestimates how much Dems considered Obama to be the personification of the liberal wet dream.Heretic;1776375 wrote:I remember QQuaKKKer saying that four years ago. Quite adamantly. Might want to show your work on that theory instead of just throwing it out there if you want to be taken seriously, instead of coming off like CC/Spock and his general level of idiocy. -
like_thatDoes anyone actually think Bernie would even be able to pass any of his tax reform through congress? Even the dems would vote against it.
-
like_thatAlso, in response to Zwick, I think republicans are scared of the idea of somebody like Bernie being president, however I don't think the GOP considers him a legitimate threat. There is a reason that none of the candidates even mention bernie, but attack hillary any chance they get.

With the some of the warning signs in the economy and the tensions in the Middle East any presumed advantage Hillary might have could quickly evaporate and create a 2008 style domination for the pubs.like_that;1776379 wrote:I don't think anyone she be confident about either side winning. I also don't think Donald trump should be taken lightly at this point unfortunately. -

I think Bernie is great. I helped him get on the ballot in Ohio. But there's no doubt the pubs would rather face him than Hillary.like_that;1776591 wrote:Also, in response to Zwick, I think republicans are scared of the idea of somebody like Bernie being president, however I don't think the GOP considers him a legitimate threat. There's no question that's where healthcare in our country is headed. ACA was just a step towards it. If you also believe establishment in either party is against a single payer system, you're crazy. Or are you one of those people who believe what congress says, then are outraged when they vote for bills to fund said things lol (ie: Oh thank god Paul Ryan is the speaker now. We'll finally defund everything .....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzomg Paul Ryan I hate you you're just like Boehner!!!!!!!")
As far as taxes... after Trump implodes the party and dems take the Senate back.. yeah it would happen. -

Dude! Stop with the hyperventilating. You have regularly cited Martin Luther King and Martin Luther King was a Democratic Socialist and would be right there saying all the same stuff Bernie says.HitsRus;1776418 wrote:Wake up man... The guy is talking socialism with a capital "S". Check out this guy's history.... And stop drinking the kool aid. Doesn't it bother you when people equivocate the Constitution?... Or minimize it as a document of rights and liberty? Don't you notice the not so veiled attempts at discrediting the founding fathers?
Do you like the United States? Well, then wake up to what's going on around you.
Like what he said in 1961 before the Negro American Labor Council
Relax. America is going to be fine.Call it democracy or call it democratic socialism, but there must be a better distribution of wealth within this country for all God's children. -

Bernie is more conservative than the guy just elected prime minister of Canada and the guy who is leading the opposition in the United Kingdom. Maybe there's a chance that what you consider radical millions of otherwise normal people don't think is all that cray?HitsRus;1776422 wrote:https://www.yahoo.com/politics/bernie-sanders-radical-past-how-the-vermont-230255076.html?nf=1

In the next 4-8 years..no. But we will be a single payer system. The simplicity and savings is why every other established Nation does it. It will be in the US also.BoatShoes;1776601 wrote:I think maybe people will be able to buy into Medicare or Medicaid but I don't think we will have Single Payer. -

Canadians just elected a man more liberal than Bernie Sanders so I suppose all of those Canadians are complete morons who don't understand politics, history or economics.jmog;1776438 wrote:I normally wouldn't jump to platitudes. But let's be clear on a few things.
When it comes down to who is a better human being, Sanders is 100 times a better person than Hillary and Trump.
However, based on politics alone, I can say with 100% confidence, that anyone who votes for Sanders is a complete moron who doesn't understand politics, history, and economics.
Or maybe the guy who thinks that Noah's Ark was a real thing and that there were dinosaurs on it shouldn't be calling people morons who don't understand history when they don't share his opinion on things??? -

There's no chance Bernie gets 99% of his policies through Congress.like_that;1776590 wrote:Does anyone actually think Bernie would even be able to pass any of his tax reform through congress? Even the dems would vote against it. -

Not every other established nation does it though. The French system and the Swiss System look much more like Obamacare.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1776606 wrote:In the next 4-8 years..no. Moreover America's serious and unique problem is epic obesity. Conservative Americans will never accept the government through a single payer system telling them to stop being fatasses but they will accept it from private enterprise so that is probably going to have to be a part of the picture. -

You actually edited your post to add this? LOL, i bet you really thought you were driving in a point with that one. I know you like to think you know more than everyone else on here, but placing broad generalizations on everybody that opposes your view simply does not work. I am sorry to tell you that I don't fit into that category of people who thought Paul Ryan was magically going to make some great changes. Also, poking fun at the people who actually thought Ryan would make immediate changes, is no different than the dumbasses who thought there was going to be immediate hope and change when obama was elected president. There is no way we will find out if Bernie's plans will pass, because he isn't going to win. If he did however, I would be willing to take that bet.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1776595 wrote:There's no question that's where healthcare in our country is headed. ACA was just a step towards it. Gotta love the ACA supporters though, who are starting to realize that Obamacare is severely flawed. The narrative has changed from a few years ago of "OMG Obama is the best, more people will be insured!" to "We should have had single payer from the beginning!" -

I'd say Germany's looks more like ACA than France. Although I think the intent is there. Each country has at least a mandate like the US does now.. and it will continue to evolve.BoatShoes;1776609 wrote:Not every other established nation does it though. And no no one thought ACA was going to be a savior as much as it had to bend to get passed. Preeeeeeeetty much everyone knows it was the official starting point to a mandated system. -

The amount of tax money we spend to cover defaulted insurance claims and uninsured insurance claims is astounding and why both parties are truly for a single payer system. -

This is 100% bullshit. There is a reason why the architect said the stupidity of the voters helped them pass the bill. Just because you allegedly saw the big picture (although I have my doubts), doesn't mean the majority of this country did.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1776613 wrote:No i edited my post to address your tax reform position.. of course I think you knew that.
