He responds to every tough question with a juvenile personal attack. How does an intelligent person see that and think "THAT's my guy!"?
This video is from 2011.... a "prophecy" from conservative guru Andrew Breitbart a year before he died....hauntingly spot on...and explains THIS race to a tee. interesting to watch this in entirety, but start at 5:00 for the gist.

Trump is winning because of his celebrity in a field of relative unknowns, aid by the backlash against the lack of success of mainstream republicans to effect resistance to the democrats.

A name you hear every election but literally no one supports. I lol every time I hear his name.
Agreed. But why does Gary Johnson, or even Rand Paul for that matter, get no support if Trump is the guy people are backing to blow-up the Repub party or express their dissatisfaction with the establishment?

But remember Ross Perot. Gary Johnson could be a more rational choice/option to tap into the dissatisfaction Trump has IF he had some serious financial backing. The reason money matters is because many voters decide based on which ad they like best that airs during their favorite tv show.

Just saying if people knew who Gary Johnson was and he had enough support to get into the debates, then he could have an impact. Trump uses his celebrity and abrasiveness to get air time, and Ross Perot bought it. Gary Johnson needs air time.

I voted for him last election, probably will this time. He was a successful Republican governor and businessman but had to bail the party because of the social conservative /Neoconservatives run the party and you can see how that is going based off the clowns we have running for the nomination.

If the Libertarian party could get as much opportunity as the Dems and Republicans, I think they would win an election easily.

I completely agree with you. I don't know anyone outside of Spock considering voting for him. If it's him vs Hillary in November, I'll sit that one out.

If you're a super-duper PRO-R honk and you have the current group of R front-runners to look at, you'd probably just stick to bashing the Ds, since that's really all you have at this point.

    Off topic (a little) but....

My girlfriend & I are eating lunch at a restaurant in Boardman and the hostess sits us next to a family of 4 or 5 (didn't look at them so not sure how many).

They are talking loud enough so everyone around them can hear. The topic changes from grade school basketball to politics.

The male figure (assuming the dad) starts talking about how he is a "teacher" at Mineral Ridge High School. He then proceeds to talk about the "idiot freshmen and seniors who are Trump supporters." Then... he proceeds to say "but we do have a few smart ones who support Sanders."

Personally, whether Marxist Bernie, Benghazi Killer Hillary or Macho Man Trump get elected, I think we're doomed, but I really don't think this "educator" should be brainwashing our future generation with this crap.

I would've loved it had one of the parents of these "idiot freshmen and seniors" been sitting within earshot of this shill.

That's when you say to your dinner guest, loudly enough so that table can hear "I can't believe how ignorant people are of economics and think what Sanders spews is new or a good idea....communism always gains popularity when a generation too young to remember it pops up"

I've had an epiphany....I have had a hard time trying to figure out why Trump is doing so well...this establishment/antiestablishment thing.
And then I watch the Democrat's debate and I realize why. SMH. ...watching two people tripping over each other to spout more guilty mea culpas of " privilege ". Wanting the Michigan governor to resign....not the people running the city of Flint who were directly responsible.

    Another planet....another planet.

The planet we live on tries to blame everything on someone other than themselves. The question asked about Detroit schools falling apart is a prime example. The woman was looking to the federal government for more money so that she doesn't have to spend her own dollars to fix the schools.

^^^^ Did you see the part when Sanders said we need to "invest more in mental health" and cited the Republican debates as evidence? He said this with a straight face while espousing policies that would keep a psychiatrist in business for a century.....laying guilt, blame on thickly....enabling people not taking responsibility and blaming external objects for their lack of success and plight.
Democrats need to look at themselves in the mirror before they talk about mental health.

I've seen you blame Obama for every spurious cultural problems e.g. "Just sayin culture of blame, victimhood comes from the top!" and yet Gov. Snyder - uncoincidentally a Republican - bears no responsibility for having appointed the Emergency Manager who came up with the idea of using the corrosive water and for ignoring pleas from the people of Flint. Here as an email from the Governor's Chief of Staff from July of 2015 (Probably more interesting than all of Hillary's "Classified" emails if they were anything like what what was considered sensitive back in my Navy.Mil email days):
“I’m frustrated by the water issue in Flint. I really don’t think people are getting the benefit of the doubt. Now they are concerned and rightfully so about the lead level studies they are receiving. These folks are scared and worried about the health impacts and they are basically getting blown off by us (as a state we’re just not sympathizing with their plight).”
I don't care if he resigns as the City Council is liable as the Governor's emergency team but I do get a laugh seeing the different standards you hold Republicans to.

My guess is though it is part of the "epiphany" of realizing that those two librulz you can't stand can actually have a substantive debate without pathetic, childish insults and it burns that your boy Rubio is left resorting to dick jokes and you're going to have to choose between these guys:

I agree with you completely, but at least with the Republicans, the lunacy is only actions in a debate.....not entrenched in the party platform.

I do regret that Marco allowed himself to be dragged into the mud. Most certainly a terrible campaign strategy. SMH.

I have a hard time questioning the mental health of people who are looking for alternatives to those who have:

    - generated 10 trillion in new debt in just 8 years

    - caused our labor participation rate to drop to the low 60%'s

    - gifted us with obamaKare

    - turned the IRS loose on The People

    - assaulted free market capitalism with every marxist trick in the book

    - permited millions and millions of illegal aliens and criminals to pour into the country

    - ruined foreign policy and ripped apart our military

Those needing mental health assistance are those who support more of the same, and then some ...

R's contributed to this as well. They also voted for the budget. Both sides are to blame for the growth. Funny though, you don't hear so much about the debt in debates or on the trail now.
    - caused our labor participation rate to drop to the low 60%'s
    Valid point there.

    -
    gifted us with obamaKare
Valid there. Thing has not lived up to the billings. Then again, the monster passed didn't even address the problem was created to solve.

    - turned the IRS loose on The People
Loose on people? Other than the one case, has there been widespread continued IRS targeting groups? Just asking....

    - assaulted free market capitalism with every marxist trick in the book
Has the state taken over industries? I missed that marxist memo at my last meeting.
    - permited millions and millions of illegal aliens and criminals to pour into the country
Again, show the stats that says crime has gone up from illegal aliens and criminals that pour into the border? Where are you getting this narrative?
    - ruined foreign policy and ripped apart our military
Ruined? That's a stretch. Sure, there are problems, but America is still the #1 economy, currency, military, and power in the world. Ruined would suggest that we have been eclipsed.
Ripped apart? How so, cause the DOD Budget is still insanely high, and is actually more than Bush years. Sooo how is it getting ripped apart? Where are you getting this notion? What numbers and facts do you have?

You love to shout from the mountain, but honestly, you are mostly all talk and bluster.

Yes, some establishment R's contributed, to be sure; further adding to the overall Trump phenomenon.

Those in mining, manufacturing and health care have a great understanding of what I meant.

We live in the hell everyday.

So, which line in the US budget goes to mine operations? And, which companies are largely owned by the Federal Government?
Is Anthem and United Healthcare owned by the feds now too?

And, man, if this is hell, by living in the best country in the world, then sign me up. Best sounding hell ever.
You know Q, I would have loved to hear your rational on the state of the country in 1949-1950. You would be probably be all Red Scare and better dead than red style.

More IRS: Judicial Watch announced that it has obtained documents from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that confirm that the IRS used donor lists to tax-exempt organizations to target those donors for audits. The documents also show IRS officials specifically highlighted how the U.S. Chamber of Commerce may come under “high scrutiny” from the IRS. The IRS produced the records in a Freedom of Information lawsuit seeking documents about selection of individuals for audits, based upon application information and donor lists submitted by Tea Party and other 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organizations (Judicial Watch v. Internal Revenue Service (No. 1:15-cv-00220)).

    Hope this helps..

That how you can tell the government has take over. Good new is ,We Citizen with a spine still have guns...freedom, understanding of liberty and patriotism... hope this helps ..

    Crime check the numbers... :

11.2 million, that's the latest estimate of the number of unauthorized immigrants in the United States, according to the Pew Research Center. And it's less than 4% of the total U.S. population.

177,960 the number of undocumented immigrants deported last year who were convicted criminals, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

121 the number of people released from immigration custody who were later charged with murder between 2010 and 2014, according to figures from the Department of Homeland Security cited in a recent letter from two U.S. senators

73,665 the number of inmates in state and federal prisons who are not U.S. citizens, according to the latest prison population report from the Bureau of Judicial Statistics. That's about 5% of the total prison population.

1 million the number of so-called detainer requests issued by Immigration and Customs and Enforcement and sent to local authorities from 2008 to 2012, according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University.

10,182 the number of ICE detainers state and local enforcement authorities declined to honor last year.
"This required ICE to expend additional resources attempting to locate, apprehend and remove criminal aliens who were released into the community, rather than transferred directly into custody," ICE said in its report on last year's deportation statistics.
