You and I can agree on this one, the 2 worst human beings in the race will get the 2 nominations.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1784124 wrote:Pretty much after today it will be Hillary and Trump

lol wtf America.
This could end up the worst 2 candidates ever put before the American people for POTUS.
As bad as they both are, I would expect RECORD turnout in the November election. Mainly because each side vehemently despises the other candidate and will show up in droves to make sure the other person doesn't get elected, even if they don't like their own candidate. -

I thought it was 47%.. did we get to 50 already!!!???!! Awesome! -

I am fairly certain you can read. -
iclfan2I don't think trumps lead is as big as it seems. If it was trump/ Cruz he would probably lose. Rubio and kasich are stealing votes that wouldn't be going to trump. But we're screwed if he gets enough delegates. How does a split convention work? Or can he win enough to not split?

You really want a POTUS that believes they way to defeat terrorism is to kill their families?rrfan;1784291 wrote:You are assuming "we" don't want Trump to win.....Well I do want him to win! -

God no, I don't want Trump or Hillary, and to be honest I don't know which one is a worse human being. However, if I had to vote for 1 or the other right now it would probably be for Trump...this election truly sucks.sleeper;1784307 wrote:You really want a POTUS that believes they way to defeat terrorism is to kill their families? -
HitsRusRight now, Trump does not have 50% of the delegate count, which means if that continues, we will have a brokered convention. That's what Rubio is counting on, and he'll stand a chance as long as he doesn't sully himself too much. he's been pretty positive in his message, except for the past week in attacking Trump....he has to tread a fine line here. But it really comes down to one word for him....FLORIDA.

ptown_trojans_1And then there were four.
Carson is finally, finally dropping out, according to the Post.

majorsparkRomney is going to give a "major speech" thursday. Looks like its going to be a we can't nominate Trump speech. Anything the establishment tries to do at this point to save us from Trump is going to backfire. They made the bed.

Also from the article for those of you fantasizing about trump getting an increased share of the black vote ads like this will be run in black communities all over the country. So I doubt it. But who knows Trump's thrown the rule book out.

gutI've seen some say in a brokered convention that Repubs will have to nominate Trump if they want a chance to win....but I think the problem is Trump is not a Republican, and they DEFINITELY lose if they nominate Trump (even if he wins the general).
One thing many "establishment" Repubs and Trump voters agree on is that he is going to blow-up the party. That's why I don't think he'll get the nomination in a brokered convention. -
BRF^^^^^^ They will have to be satisfied with a rino in the White House.
It will be very interesting to watch how the GOP establishment tries to not let him get the nomination.
Enjoy! -

Romney should have just ran, instead he was scared by Jeb Bush and the amount of money he raised. LOLFAIL. Too little too late, Trump is taking this.majorspark;1784374 wrote:Romney is going to give a "major speech" thursday. Looks like its going to be a we can't nominate Trump speech. I agree. Maybe they can get away with nominating the 2nd place guy with the collective non Trump delegates. Nomination of any perceived establishment candidate outside of that and there will be a shit storm. None of these guys want to beg for crumbs at the Donalds table. Look at Chris Christie who went from tough guy governor to Trumps door man in just a matter of days. The guy does not even look himself anymore.gut;1784391 wrote:I've seen some say in a brokered convention that Repubs will have to nominate Trump if they want a chance to win....but I think the problem is Trump is not a Republican, and they DEFINITELY lose if they nominate Trump (even if he wins the general).

SpockAll trump has to do is stand there, look at HC and tell the voters that "All of her answers in this debate are bought by big business and rich white people"
Trump is who I would vote for, he cant be bought. You guys act like he is going to run all crazy in DC. We have equal co-branches of government. -

The nice thing is, when the republican congress sends him the bill to repeal obamaKare, he will sign it --- period; end of story. And thank God! The biggest job killer will be wiped away and we can properly address health insurance, or simply have government stay the hell out of the way.
Eliminate obamaKare, real tax reform, deal with the immigration crisis, bolster the military, implement pro-growth economic policy. If it takes Trump, the "RINO", to get it done, so be it. But that list of platform items appeals to me, an ultra conservative. -

Assuming a few things. 1. That Trump does not kill the party in Congress. There are some that see Trump may hand over the Senate to the D's.QuakerOats;1784494 wrote:Should be interesting.

and 2. That even such a bill could pass the Senate, which I doubt will happen. -
ptown_trojans_1Romney is lashing out against Trump now.
Last night a letter by 50 Republican Foreign Policy advisers and leaders was released. Some of the names are neoons, but some are moderates and long serving R's udner HW and Bush.
Pretty damning.

The bill already passed the senate and was put on obama's desk last month and he vetoed it.ptown_trojans_1;1784514 wrote:Assuming a few things. 1. That Trump does not kill the party in Congress. There are some that see Trump may hand over the Senate to the D's.

Hillary Clinton would also veto it, but Trump (or any of the R's) would not. If there was ever a more clear and simpler difference between the parties I don't know it. We can still salvage 20% of our economy and all the related destruction, plus save the greatest health CARE in the world, but we will lose that chance FOREVER if we elect a dem. -

If he veoted it, has to back to the Senate. Senate can pass it again and he can veto it again before he leaves, so it goes to the new Senate. Same rules applies.QuakerOats;1784518 wrote:The bill already passed the senate and was put on obama's desk last month and he vetoed it.

sleeperRomney's speech also called out Trump heavily.
I think Romney will somehow be the nominee at the convention. I think he can beat Hillary.
