gosh a ruddies, I sure can. I like a lot of things about Bernie but he can not win, the Republicans have Mussolini, the anti-Christ, an empty suit, union busting arrogant sob, and an idiot savant surgeon.

The funny part is that one of them is going to be your POTUS.

The democrats have Leon Trotsky and the lying crook. Good times.

How to reduce the Democrat Party's share of the black vote and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Sounds like spite for Rubio had a role in his endorsement. Pretty sad.

He seems to be the one candidate who truly understands that a large segment of the voter base is unintelligent enough to be swayed by loud bluster and a slogan ("Make America Great Again" or whatever), while only having vague ideas that likely have no chance in hell of actually getting put into play (building a wall on national borders, lol). Essentially a Repub version of Obama or Sanders, but with more loud bluster. He fires up a sizable amount of the fanbase and has essentially made himself a "made man" who can say virtually anything, no matter how repugnant, and not lose support. On some levels, his campaign has been about as fascinating of one as I've seen.

You on the other hand...if you were smart, you'd be able to get through a whole sentence without fucking up at least one thing. Since you can't, you're definitely in the "Trump demographic".
It is truly amazing. Rubio is permanently tainted with a scarlet letter for "amnesty" because of the gang of eight bill and Trump says out loud that he could shoot somebody on fifth avenue and not lose support (and he's right).

Thing is though, there are a fair number of otherwise smart people who are buying into Trump too. "Make America Great Again" really is a great slogan for a political campaign. No matter what you believe made America great again, the voter can put that onto Trump.

But at least it has been entertaining.

Lol, I didn't watch much of the apprentice, but wasn't she a very controversial character? Or am I thinking of somebody else.

gut;1783557 wrote:What will be interesting is if it's actually a winning strategy, where despite Repubs staying homing or voting Dem, he captures more idiots from the other side of the aisle.

Because what's really fascinating is not just the idiots flocking to the bluster and bravado, but that Trump stands for almost nothing that has Repubs banking these votes and taking them for granted. I think it's almost easier for Trump to pick-up idiots on the Dem side because he actually stands for more of what they want/believe.

What he's really doing is cherry-picking the one or two key issues to appeal to all the people who vote on 1 or 2 issues. So you have the war-hawkish and immigration for the neocons, you have protectionism for the union folks, and you have single payer for many Dems. Trump is all things to all [dumb] people.
I would also add a fair amount of otherwise smart people who have little interest in politics. They hear businessman who's not a politician and wants to make America great again! "Yeah, sounds good. Had enough of politicians who are crooks" etc.

It's like people just place whatever they think will make America Great again on Trump and he just says shit like "Yes, I will be the greatest jobs president God has ever placed on this Earth. It will be great; really, really great."

Lol I watched the first season and she was hugely controversial but had a devoted fan base - not unlike Trump.

Plus, I am pretty sure her career was in politics - like she was a political consultant or something.

Pretty much tackles each of the arguments for him.

Conservative media hosts are also killing Trump every day now (save Rush and Drudge) and it is having no effect. Trump will Make America Great Again and Brawndo has electrolytes!

Trump is not going to answer the question in the typical grovelling manner of the average politician practically begging for forgiveness for something totally outside of their control. Trump frames the context into that of political endorsements and says he knows nothing of them. Tapper recognizes this and tries to refocus him and drive him into the typical grovelling condemnation of your average politician. Trump says he will disavow any group if specifically named. Tapper quickly tosses in the KKK while Trump is talking and he does not hesitate as if he does not hear it. Tapper does not press very hard after that because he has his sound bite. Trump stated late last year that he does not want want Duke's endorsement. Trust me Tapper was fully aware of it prior to the interview.

I am no Trump fan. I have made that quite clear. Cruz and Rubio foolishly think that attacking the perceived anti-establishment anti-press candidate in kind (as he has them) will win them significant numbers of his supporters. Just the opposite. Instead of reading the political tea leaves the last two remaining viable challengers fail to create their own anti-establishment brand they just end up looking like feckless imitators. As Washington politicians they had a large hill to climb to begin with.
I actually agree with all of what you said here. It is a touch stone example of why people flock to Trump. The only time Tapper said KKK was in the middle of Trump talking.

You never saw the Jake Tapper's of the world ask Obama about Hugo Chavez endorsing him and then having the rest of the media desperately hump the issue for days.

I'm sorry but I think Rubio intimating that Trump is "racist" for "not disavowing the KKK" is not going to help him IMHO.

Yea that is ridiculous. I don't think he is Hitler , a fascist or even racist. I just think he shouldn't be taken seriously as a Presidential candidate.

I don't see how Rubio can stick around after today with 0 wins out of 15 states, not to mention being pretty far behind in Florida. He is young and should honestly go for Governor maybe in Florida instead of risking getting beat in his home state.

Cruz could win Texas and will stick around. If not he should drop out.

Carson will drop out after today.

If Kasich could get to a one on one and win Ohio and some of the Midwest states, he could have a shot.

Unfortunately after today it seems Trump will be the nominee.

New Hampshire newspaper that endorsed Chris Christie retracts endorsement and admits they were wrong in a scathing reassessment of the N.J. governor following his endorsement of Trump.

With Ohio being a winner take all state, everybody who is anti-Trump should vote for Kasich no matter whether you support another candidate or not. Rubio, Cruz etc cannot win Ohio unless the numbers changes dramatically in the next week, and hence a vote for anybody but Kasich will give Trump the opportunity to grab all the delegates. At this point, it is a matter of denying Trump the delegates, no matter who you support. Hopefully, someone among the remaining candidates will emerge, and Kasich can release his delegates to that candidate if he does not have enough to win. Even though I'm firmly in the Rubio camp, I'll be voting for Kasich.

Kinda shitty that the only way Trump doesn't win is if Cruz wins.

    Both drive me insane.
  • isadore
gosh a ruddies, Cruz would seem to be in a must worse position than his delegate totals show. His strength was supposedly among evangelicals and most of the states with dominant evangelical populations have now voted. So the anti-Christ may have shot his wad.
  • ptown_trojans_1
I know people bash the DC area, but in the Northern VA counties Rubio and Kasich were 1-2.
Rubio also did well in Richmond and UVA area. Trump won everywhere else.

Hard to stem the tide when nearly 50% have no skin in the game, and yet can vote themselves the public treasury. We have reached the critical point, we either win and start to reverse some things, or it is over and we will become just another country tossed into the ash heap of socialism.
