It wasn't a desire to compare him to the Pubs I was looking for with regards to legislative effectiveness because he has a lot more to overcome with me as it relates to the other candidates strictly based on his completely opposite ideological beliefs and how he believes they can be addressed. If you think it's important to compare the candidates in that regard I would like to take a look at the positive legislation that reflects my views over the time served in that role. Do you know how long Mr. Sanders has been in that role?

The best above Bill I see is the Veterans Comp COLA Act. That appears to be very worthy of recognition and without reading the details I applaud his desire and willingness to author what seems to be a very important act. The others I really don't care about but I don't doubt his constituents may have appreciated it so I guess he's doing the right thing there. It doesn't appear he has pushed through much that represent his democratic socialist views, however.

So 3 Bill passed in his career which spans how long???
16 years in the House, 10 years in the Senate. He's passed 3 bills in 26 years. LOL

    Rubio? 6 years.
    Cruz? 4 years.
    Trump? 0 years.

    Nice comparison Zwick!

The Dem race would certainly be much more interesting than pretending like Hillary is going to go to jail and Bernie is going to overcome all of the odds.

I personally don't need it to be interesting. It's not entertainment for me. I just need it to be effective in providing the executive that represents the people's desire.
Sometimes that's my guy and sometimes it's not but it's my hope that it's the people's exec.

The reality is Bernie is an absolute failure as a Congressman and only still holds office because Vermont.

No the reality is Sanders has sponsored 362 bills in 26 years for an average of about 14 a year. 3 have passed.

Cruz has sponsored 44 in 4 years for an averages about 11 a year. 1 has passed

Rubio just 16 in 5 years which proves he's been virtually non-existent as a senator like everyone has claimed. 1 has passed.

Bernie has been an Independent nearly his entire career which means he didn't have partisan support which is preeeeeeeeeeeeeeetty important in Congress.

There's no debate who's more active in congress of the 3.

Lol congrats he actively tried to pass shitty bills that both sides would never pass. Way to go Bernie! A for effort!

Talk about partisan, he couldn't find a way for anybody to agree with him, which is even more selfish.

Let's not confuse effort with results....

A Presidents agenda shouldn't matter. That's not what he's elected for. It's the electorates agenda.

...and yet it does matter. He sets his party's agenda and has the ability to influence and control the agenda of the other side of the aisle with his veto power.

If only we could function by our elected official's acting out the agenda of the people....we might be so much more pleased with our government today. Sadly that's not what I have seen over the past decades.

Hillary may not be going to jail but according to Madeleine Albright women who don't vote for Hillary will be going to Hell.

Sanders is only about to pass .83% of the bills he's created. Rubio? 6.25% Cruz? 2.27% Seems that Sanders wastes a lot of people's time instead of focusing more on bills that have a decent chance to pass.

Sanders only has 4 years to get stuff done and with his current pass rate, we can expect 0 bills that he sponsors as President to be passed into law. Math doesn't lie. Sanders is already a failure. Why vote for a failure?

By your math, they're all failures and so is every Congressman. Good logic.

This is entirely another discussion topic.

I believe that they all are....and the best way to fix that is to throw all of them out, from the WH down..and start over again.

Yes. Let's throw hundred of years of experience out the window and run our country off a bunch of novices. I can't think of ANY possible downfalls to this plan.

Cruz would get 1 bill passed in 4 years. Rubio would be close. Sanders is a disaster.

Again, why vote for a failure?

Can't be a whole lot worse than keeping with the dysfunctional, can't get anything done atmosphere that permeates the WH, House and Senate now.

Where have those 'hundreds of years of experience' gotten us in the last 8 years, or more?
  • Wolves of Babylon
Specific candidates aside I would usually choose a Governor over a Senator all things being equal.

The government worked when public service was a sacrifice instead of a gravy train. They turned the government over every few years and it worked just fine.

There's a reason the senior congressmen get the most accomplished. They know what they have to do to get things done. Not sure how old you are, but government has been a gravy train for a loooooooong time.

They know how to get, for example, weapons systems that absolutely no one wants, but they bring jobs into their district. Ditto road projects that have little or no utility (a favorite of former Senator Byrd).

The rules are written down for a reason. Dump 'em all after two terms and they'll figure it out just fine.

That was BEGGING for the punchline "going to Hell....right next to Hillary"
