  Yet you denigrate Hits because he has concerns about the kind of "Socialism" Bernie really espouses. Comrade Bernie has a history on this matter and its nothing near the mix of various social programs adopted by Canada. He was a big fan of Eugene Debs. Comrade Bernie in a documentary of Debs spoke as the voice of Debs. Hearing in his distinct Brooklyn accent mouth the words of something out of Das Kapital or the Communist Manifesto is troubling (clips would make some nice political commercials). I know they are not his words but I think we all know why he did it. I have read news articles which state that a portrait of Debs hangs on the wall in his senate office. Could be total BS I don't know never been to his office.
  
  Perhaps Comrade Bernie has evolved from the days of his radical leftist past? Is he just being pragmatic with what is politically feasible? Does he still hold to the tenets of Socialism espoused by Eugene Debs? If not what changed his mind? These are questions I think should be asked.

  ^^^well that is pretty much spot on. Bernie is big on promoting his "I was against the Iraq war"... But I haven't heard him crowing about his past of anti American association with the Sandanistas, his early views on nationalizing the oil industry and other things that illuminate that he may not be the "nice " kind of socialist that he is letting on. How many spots on the leopard have really changed? If he were elected president and the going got a little tough, is he going to fall back on nationalizing the industry?

  Damn Kasich is clearly the best candidate. It's a shame it looks like he will be lost in the shuffle. The guy IMO easily becomes president in a GE

  Rubio lost that battle with Christie for sure. I thought he did well the rest of the debate. Definitely a good night for the governors.

  The United States became a great republic because it wasn't like other countries, and it espoused fundamental beliefs and ideals that limited government and promoted individual freedom. The decline in the nation is in direct proportion to the growth in the size and scope of government.

  Good thing for Rubio this was a Saturday night debate. It was hilarious Christie kept saying Rubio just repeats the same soundbite over and over and right on cue Rubio would say it again.

  Nah, I don't think so, Boat. Basically they don't have a message that is resonating with the voters.... And Rubio's experience has nothing to do with it.

  I think Bush still has a chance to get the establishment to come to the conclusion he is the Romeny-type experienced, old school pub the GOP needs.

  I think Hits is definitely right to oppose Bernie as fundamentally against his values and that he would prefer a U.S. without Bernie's vision but I don't think the record bears out that Bernie is a,communist. He,has said repeatedly that he that he supports private small business to a degree like Ben and Jerry's and therefore does not support social ownership of the means of production.

  Mr. Sanders may not fit the pure definition of a communist but he espouses ideas that push further towards social ownership of existing social programs than we currently experience. That combined with a liberal minded social views does not reflect what I would seek to desire in the Executive Office.
  
  I'm still trying to find to what level he's been effective in his current capacity. What has he done as a legislator? What bills has he authored that have been passed in the House of Representatives?
  
  Give me the positive things about him as a legislator to determine if that's enough information to override the significant differences in ideology.

  It wasn't a desire to compare him to the Pubs I was looking for with regards to legislative effectiveness because he has a lot more to overcome with me as it relates to the other candidates strictly based on his completely opposite ideological beliefs and how he believes they can be addressed. If you think it's important to compare the candidates in that regard I would like to take a look at the positive legislation that reflects my views over the time served in that role. Do you know how long Mr. Sanders has been in that role?
  
  The best above Bill I see is the Veterans Comp COLA Act. That appears to be very worthy of recognition and without reading the details I applaud his desire and willingness to author what seems to be a very important act. The others I really don't care about but I don't doubt his constituents may have appreciated it so I guess he's doing the right thing there. It doesn't appear he has pushed through much that represent his democratic socialist views, however.
  
  So 3 Bill passed in his career which spans how long???

  It is one thing not to support Sanders or Ted Cruz because they do not share one's values. It is another thing to act like the United Sates is "Doomed" if they get elected.
