  Im not a mod. And if I have to be honest to describe you, so let it be done. Mods have been forced out for much less. I don't understand Heretic's post unless he was completely high at the time (not a bad bet!). He attacked another poster for no reason. A total jerk move.

  Damn, you're reaching so far, it's more comical than usual coming from you. Hits said something stupid, I responded. On the scale of attacks from 1-10, that's probably, at worst, a 1.5. But continue with the overwrought histrionics over it as much as you want. I mean, all things considered, I'd rather have the rep of "stoned and stupid" than "pathetic, whining bitch".

  I don't pretend to speak for Dr. King...a man I grew up admiring. But there are plenty of other people who make a living pretending to speak for King, and I don't think that's all straight up. Read the man's words. Don't let somebody with an agenda tell you how to interpret those words. King was a very intelligent man, and I think he chose his words carefully.

  Hey, sticks and stones, man. I interpreted your post as playing the race card... because "we all know" that conservatives think blacks vote democratic for handouts and stuff. Maybe I'm just too sensitive to this stuff. My cousin who I love dearly is a Progressive, and fairly often some links to progressive websites comes thru on her facebook page. They constantly are making "canards" ( to use boatshoes' term) about what conservatives think...just so they can ridicule it. I'd be pretty certain that conservative sites do the same thing. It doesn't change the fact that particular one is tantamount to playing the 'race card'. You don't have to agree with me. Sticks and stones.

  I've not even come remotely close to claiming all whites today are racist let alone any whites. All I've said is that this notion that liberals started separating people into groups that make us not a melting pot by doing hyphenated-American is nonsense. Racists started separating people into groups a long time ago.
  
  People had enough and defined their own cultural identities in positive terms. Being called Kraut is bad. Celebrating your German heritage as a German-American like at the German-American fest in Toledo next weekend is good.
