Why do Jews & Asians overwhelmingly vote Democrat?

I was speaking of my statement in the post where I said "assume every Jew and Asian lives in an urban area." Which implies 100% and is an overstatement from 70%. Hope that helps.gut;1636174 wrote:I didn't exaggerate, I stated a fact. The number is just over 70%. 6.7M Jews in the US, with 4.8M living in just 9 major metropolitan areas.

You asked for an example in this thread and I gave you one. Sorry you didn't like it.HitsRus;1636182 wrote:Seems more of a knee jerk generalization and an attempt to be funny more than anything else. That's a reason why I said it was a stereotype. No one should judge any Jewish person to be difficult with money, just like no one should judge a white person to be racist (Eric Holder, I'm looking in your direction), or an Asian woman to be a bad driver. Stereotypes are bad. But there is usually a reason behind it, and ignoring it doesn't help.
There are reasons why many western businesses won't deal in much of the Russian market, because of the blatant scandals and behind the curtains dealings. That doesn't mean all of them are bad. But it is enough for for the stereotype to exist. -

Manhattan BuckeyeThere is a difference between "many" and "every", but go figure. Logic and reasoning is no longer part of civilized debate. But in an era of low-to-no information voters, what should we expect? There is no debate with people that are fixated on their world view, and not facts.

You haven't posted a single fact, just stuff about how you've been out-witted by Jews during your life. I enjoy your stories so don't let me discourage you. -

as predicted. Once you get the hang of their MO...it really is quite hilarious.they get out front and define the issues in their terms , and and then work behind the scenes to destroy the credibility of those that dare question that perception -
Manhattan BuckeyeThat made even less sense than the other posts. Are you the moon-faced guy that used to post as Ty Webb?

Any more thoughts on why Jews and Asians seem to vote Democrat in larger numbers than their peers by income level, geographic location, education, etc. -

Just look at that statement and admire the self righteousness and hubris. There is an art to the con and they are well versed. The shortage of sympathy for minorities and immigrants, the endorsement of greed and selfishness in Republican programs all reinforce their opinions. Gosh then we have the tea party,.
See how they define issues like women's rights, immigration, and racism /minorities.....and then you realize that they don't really speak for all women (or even most), or all immigrants(only the illegal kind), or all minorities(just the ones that they can manipulate). If members of that group step out of line, they are called Cu***, or Uncle Tom's or some other stereotype.

Gosh a ruddies what do we get from Mr. Manhattan? Supposedly we should not judge people based on stereotypes, but there is a reason why they exist. And we get the bestest of all evidence to prove it, a personal anecdote.Manhattan Buckeye;1636358 wrote:^^^

The stereotype is a stereotype and no one should judge any Jewish person based on the stereotype, but it exists for a reason. The most uncomfortable personal financial situation we've ever encountered was dealing with a great Jewish guy (we're Godparents of his grandchild and his daughter was matron of honor in our wedding) waiting for an international bank transfer to happen - there was no way for us to even begin to expedite the process which in a post-9/11 world takes time, that didn't keep him from calling me 3 times a day wondering when the transfer was going to happen - very uncomfortable. Fortunately he's relaxed a bit in his retirement days. -

thank you for providing even more evidence of the attitudes that will keep the Republican Party, a diminishing minority. Manhattan BuckeyeOf course there is a reason why they exist. Deal with a Russian....or a Southern Asian. Many American businesses or other Western businesses won't.
Gosh a ruddies have you ever dealt with foreign people? -

Gosh a ruddies big guy, the subject of this thread was the voting patterns of Jewish and Asian Americans. That was what was being discussed.Manhattan Buckeye;1636451 wrote:Of course there is a reason why they exist. Deal with a Russian....or a Southern Asian. So you consider Jewish Americans and Asian Americans to be foreigners. -

As the OP you set up your strawman by cherry picking two "successful" groups and then ran out your bogus narrative that progressives like to parrot...that Republicans "think that people vote Democratic" because they are stupid, or because they get free stuff.HelloAgain;1636430 wrote:As the OP, I won't let you internet forum trolls derail this discussion any longer.

I cited cognitive dissonance, and I was serious. The Democratic Party has not been a true friend of Israel and the Jewish people for at least 50 years....but neither has it been an enemy. Historically, looking back 100 years, the Dems and the Jews were pretty tight, and some of that good will still carries over today despite the fact that the Dems are not exactly the party of Roosevelt and Kennedy anymore except in name only. The good thing is that Jews no longer support Dems 9-1...as you cited it is more like 7-3, definitely some inroads are being made. G.W. Bush was able to garner 35% in one election which might be a high water mark. Hopefully, that mark will be broken in 2016. Truth does come out eventually. -

Question: Is the U.S. support of Israel insufficientHitsRus;1636475 wrote:The Democratic Party has not been a true friend of Israel and the Jewish people for at least 50 years.
White Evangelical Protestants: 48% yes
Jews: 31 % yes
Question: Is the Israeli government making a sincere effort to establish peace with Palestinians
White Evangelical Protestants: 64% yes
Jews: 38% yes
Polls also show American Jews are more concerned with gay rights, drug policy, and social assistance programs than other groups. Is it possible rather than "cognitive dissonance" being the main reason Jews vote Democrat, that they've made the logical choice of prioritizing their issues and voting with the party that most closely supports them? Is it perhaps true that you and other Republicans misunderstanding of the importance American Jews' place on Israel is partly to blame for the lack of support? -

gosh a ruddies although you deny it and falsely claim duplicity a significant majority of women, minorities and immigrants support the Democratic Party. Because of the inherent misogyny and racism of many Republicans, you folks claim they are tricked into doing this. But despite what you claim these folks are making rational choice to reject the Greed, selfishness and bigotry the Republican Party represents and to vote in their own and the nation's enlightened best interest.HitsRus;1636478 wrote:No, I provided evidence of your dupliciousness and your intolerance. ohiobucks1Im a Jewish America who votes Republican but I can certainly see why they vote Democrat the vast majority of the time. Democrats care more about social issues and as a whole, Jews don't believe in letting anyone within their community fail. Since they have becoming increasingly assimilated into American society, these same values are extrapolated upon the whole of America
