He has to be happy that be brought the fire, especially after Obama decided to sleepwalk through the first debate.

But the train jumped the tracks pretty early, so that probably has him pretty pissed.

If it weren't for his wildly random bursts of giggles, it would be as if Joe Biden weren't even there. I cannot believe this is happening, but the Obama campaign is unraveling before our eyes. This is really a pitiful display.

    this is getting testy

Ryan didn't answer that question (who will pay less/who will pay more)

He still may, but it seems like he's dancing around it

Paul Ryan is getting his ass kicked right now....
  • Classyposter58
I think Ryan just schooled Biden there...Biden wasn't even laughing during that. Very well spoken by Paul, very well

Ryan better directly answer a damn tax question here or he's going to jump in the hole that Biden dug.

Was Biden's plan to be so unbearable that viewers would change the channel?

This is exactly what a debate should be....

    Damn....he must've hit a nerve with you

According to pretty much everyone on CNN(Dems and Repubs),Ryan is getting manhandled right now

Mrs. FFT was watching this, while I was in the other room listening to it. Just hearing the audio, it seemed to me that Biden was rolling. But she was seeing all his facial contortions and thought he came off like an a-hole. Interesting how the perspective differs.

Given that Mrs. FFT is a fairly moderate centrist, I suspect that Biden's douchebaggery isn't playing well to female voters.

When you have a set time limit, that's not what a debate should be. This isn't an elementary cafeteria discussion.

Not according to people who know what they are talking about

This parallels the Nixon-Kennedy debates from back in the day. People who listened on the radio thought that Nixon was better, while people watching on Tv though that Kennedy walked away victorious.

That thought came to mind. I also wonder if it's a m/f split, where men respond better to the aggressive interruptions while women find it to be offputting. Tough to say.

I must be a woman haha I can't stand the constant interruptions.

It does really break up the flow of the debate. I wonder why they're sitting instead of standing. Given Ryan's physique, I suspect the Rs would've been better off with both candidates standing.

Biden did rightly just call out Ryan for starting to skirt answering some of the tougher questions as of late.
