No one from the right will. Whenever Obama pulls a conservative ploy, the haters will never be able to accept and applaud. I proved that over the previous 2 pages.derek bomar;1092949 wrote:nice deflection. I'll be waiting for someone to tell me why this is a bad idea.
BTW, it's a great idea. Why didn't Bush the 43rd think of it? -

It IS a great political ploy by the Bammer in an election year. I'll give him that much.Footwedge;1094189 wrote:No one from the right will. Whenever Obama pulls a conservative ploy, the haters will never be able to accept and applaud. -

Ah yes....yes indeed. "He's only acting conservative because it's election year" schtic. LOL. Why would he be promoting conservative line of economic reasoning during election year? Why is that? Maybe because it is overall good for the country? Nah, that can't be it. He's a Marxist and a Socialist...forgot about that.believer;1094193 wrote:It IS a great political ploy by the Bammer in an election year. I'll give him that much.
And again...just a simple plan it is....why didn't Bush the 43rd think of it? With his conservative brain and all? -
Cleveland BuckCutting the tax rate and eliminating loopholes is fine. He's not going to eliminate them all though. His buddies will still get their tax credits. To me it is irrelevant. It isn't going to solve any of our problems or increase revenues. Obama is just showing how absurd the Republican economic plans are (except Ron Paul's) where they think tinkering with the tax code is going to solve everything and boom the economy.
Tinkering with the tax rate doesn't accomplish anything in a macro sense. Every dollar spent by the federal government is a tax. They either tax us now, tax us later, or print the money and suck that out of all of us. Someone could come in and not cut tax rates at all, but cut $1 trillion in spending and that would be a major tax cut. -

Cleveland BuckHere's what we need to get the economy going.
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/modest-proposal-boost-us-gdp-852-quadrillion-build-imperial-death-starSince at this point US society is irrevocably split into two camps, on one hand those who believe Keynesian propaganda, where the only cure for unsustainable debt is more debt, and on the other those who believe that a return to a gold standard is the only way to prevent an epic socio-political collapse, also known in official US circles as "extremists", and since we know that the status quo will never let the latter get their way without a fight (quite literally and quite violently), it is only logical that 'if you can't beat them you have to join them'. In which case we believe that instead of breaking windows, or starting wars, or even expecting a growth boosting alien invasion that would lead to a surge in GDP that may or may not come, one should not only go for broke, but do so in style. As such we propose that the US, already the world's most expansionist and aggressive foreign policy power, not like there is anything wrong with that of course - it is all for the sake of liberating oppressed foreign oil, should one up itself and build the true symbol of its contemporary socio-historical status: the Imperial Death Star. Yet the real benefit in addition to blowing up various alien world that refuse to bail out the world's central bank confederacy, is that the cost of construction of said Keynesian masterpiece, would be an epic $852 quadrillion, which in turn would go straight to US GDP. -

Good luck getting that done. If the "final four" is all you've got, you'd better start planning for the 2016 election. -

The Final Four - like it or not - are far better alternatives than what we're dealing with now. That's the unfortunate reality.stlouiedipalma;1095169 wrote:Good luck getting that done. If the "final four" is all you've got, you'd better start planning for the 2016 election. -

If it's Santorum/Newt vs Obama and I didn't have a choice of write ins/3rd party I take Obama. Romney vs Obama is stupid because both of them are robots that talk to the base/wackos of their party but usually end up supporting solutions that are more towards the center but also usually pretty shitty. -

Just so I understand your process: You vote for Obama who has given (your words) "shitty" agenda that is proving to be a failure for America rather than vote for some else. So once you taste shitty you keep eating it..I Wear Pants;1095258 wrote:We will continue to disagree here on all of them but Paul.

As long as Big Government keeps telling liberals that the shit sandwich tastes great, they'll keep coming back to the feeding trough if there's plenty of Kool Aid to wash it down.Belly35;1095266 wrote:Just so I understand your process: You vote for Obama who has given (your words) "shitty" agenda that is proving to be a failure for America rather than vote for some else. bases_loadedFour US soldiers have been killed since the book burning that O has come out and apologized for. For some reason the MSM headlines call them NATO soldiers though....while technically correct, it is a clear sign of who's side they are on.

U.S. forces are under the banner of ISAF, and have since 2002. The news calls them U.S./ NATO soldiers interchangeably, but over the past the news has called the U.S. soldiers killed, U.S. soldiers. You are making a mountain out of a mole hill.
And yes that was a huge failure over there.
NATO is now pulling some forces out of Kabul as a result.
Post script: Yeah crazy MSM headlines: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/26/world/asia/afghanistan-koran-burning-protests-enter-fifth-day.html
As to the Final Four, Romney is the only one I would even think about voting for, but his foreign policy is still a little too neocon for me. -

American liberals are just like the Greeks, they live in fantasy land and, when told their dependency checks are going to start bouncing, they throw temper tantrums and arrogantly blame others for not providing enough. Gee, sounds like they take their cue from the activist at 1600 Penn Ave. -

If the U.S. is Greece, then so is every other economy in the world....which is not accurate.
