NONE of the little people pay ANY federal income tax.

In fact, the bottom 48% pay NO federal income tax. That is BS; everyone should pay at least $100 minimum for at least a nominal share for their national defense.

The producers in this country are not only paying all the taxes, they are paying for the other half that pays NOTHING.

    Get in the game!!!!!!!

Obama gave the silent nod to his rich friends to start donating to Super Pacs yesterday.

He had previously been against them, but apparently news of the Koch brothers pledging $60 million dollars to a super pac designed to get BHO out of office put the fear of God in him.

Soros, Peter Lewis and other wealthy billionaires had been withholding their donations until Obama promised to stop demonizing Super Pacs. He gave the go ahead last night.

Liberals are trying to make the case that to do anything other than encourage a pro-BHO super pac would have been equivalent to unilateral disarmament.

Are you ready for the carpet bombing of the air waves with pro-BHO ads that will start being released now that he knows the coffers will be overflowing with donations from his rich friends?

You mean they pay no FEDERAL INCOME TAXES. They pay all kinds of other taxes that are in no way, shape, or form regressive.

A vote for Obama means the Supreme Court will have more people that think like Ruth Buzzi Ginsburg - http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/02/06/ginsburg-to-egyptians-wouldnt-use-us-constitution-as-model/ Yeah, I know Clinton appointed her, but she represents Obama's "love" for the Constitution.

I wonder if the Ronulans would like more people like Justice Ginsburg or say someone like Justice Scalia? Their votes, or lack thereof as opined by Cleveland Buck, pmoney, sleeper, et al, could play a large role in answering this question.

My gripe is with people who do not pay the same proportional share of their taxes. Yes, I know if you own your own business there are all kinds of perfectly legal ways to show less income then you really are receiving and lower your effective tax rate I am sure you and fishie take full advantage. Most people are not in the same position. Hell, fish set up some bogus non profit just to dodge paying taxes on one of his hobbies. I think paying taxes is everyone's patriotic duty. Cheating is the same as deserting on D-day to me.

I don't like paying all the taxes I have to pay anymore then you do. There are lots of local tax issues that I do not agree with. As long as we live in a representative democracy, there will be disagreements. There is a cost for government services, and the price of freedom and protection. The debate will always be just how much should you pay, for what, and what is fair.

No, that isn't what I am talking about. Even if you make $1 million in straight income, your marginal effective rate will be lower because you only paid 6.5% in SS on 10% of your income. It's not a way of showing less income or a way to cheat taxes, it is just how the code is written.

You must dislike nearly 50% of Americans that pay nothing, or even worse actually get money back from the government from filing.

"..perfectly legal ways to show less income.."

Are you upset with the behemoth known as the United States Tax Code or are you upset that others have made conscious decisions to engage qualified lawyers and accountants to figure out legal ways to pay their legal amount? Or maybe you're mad at yourself that you haven't done such? You do realize that corporations, such as G.E. have employed hundreds of such types to reduce their tax burden to nearly 0%. You know that Berkshire Hathaway, driven by Leftist God-send Warren Buffet, is actively pursuing paying as little in federal tax as is legally possible (although the IRS is claiming they owe several million in back-taxes)? Are you mad at G.E. for taking the wherewithall to learn how to not pay taxes? Do you know why corporations relocate to the U.K. but still manage their operations from the U.S. (hint...it has to do with the 35% corporate tax rate)?

I get it that you're mad as hell that people aren't paying their fair share (as defined by you/Pelosi/Obama/whoeverthefuck) and are somehow cheating. Maybe...just maybe...your anger should be directed at those that have chosen to tweak, twist, manipulate, reward, subsidize, corrupt, edit, and modify the tax code itself. Maybe we should move to a flatter tax type structure so that fairness can be more...ummm...ahem...transparent.

I would be happy to implement some of the suggestions that National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform Committee recommended for a start. I think that there is plenty of responsibility to spread around but if you want to place the blame what about the past policies of cutting taxes and spending like crazy from the last 20 years? Both sides have spent, only one side has cut taxes and spent. Some people can look past the political rhetoric, and some people can not. Which are you?

The title of the article is "Washington Footing the Cell Phone Bill for Millions of Low Income Americans".....

Washington isn't paying for cellphones....we TAXPAYERS are.

This is more proof that our Federal Government cannot effectively and effeciently manage ANY program.

And Democrats still want the Federal Government to completly manage our health care system?

Haven't you heard? Cell phones are a right, not a privilege. Just add it to the right to abortions, the right for free healthkare, the right to occupy parks/public lands, the right for snaildarters to exist, and the right of illegal aliens to free education/free housing/free weapons. It's the living Constitution, bro. All hail change!!
