    Thanks Zoo,
I overlooked Logan Studer from Norwayne who will definately be a threat to place at 135.

Looking ahead to sectionals, the heavyweight class might actually see some 6 minute matches with Kelly(Man), Flinner(Tri) & Jake Martin(MAP) thrown in with the WCAL 275's. A couple of decent heavys from this area aren't going to districts.

Tuslaw wins both duals with Mapleton and Barberton at Smithville last night , Firestone starts tomorrow . Should be a great tournament. Powell finally made scratch at 103 and will be a factor this weekend and Zane Nelson finally made 130 scratch last night. Elliett will finally be at 152 tomorrow. This line up is getting stronger every week, I like what Iam seeing.

What happened at the Dies? I know Tuslaw & Norwayne were there, probably some other locals too. Anybody got results?

Anybody got results on anything that happened over the weekend?

Hell, Does anyone even look at this thread anymore?

Bears took 2nd at the 25 team Mario Elgin Invite. Lexington took 1st

Chippewa was at the Dies. Hall took third two days after breaking his nose, and Shaffrath took first.

I have been hearing that Fortune might be moving up to 125...? If that happens i can see Harter moving up to 119 for WCAL to run from Grier. Harter and Stanley are not to big in wrestling tough matches... I mean look at the state duals Harters only tough matches he bumped to 119 to take a forfeit. And yes Grier has not been shinning to bright like last year yet because of injuries and cutting a lot of weight, but i think he is still the clear favorite over Harter in county finals.
  • zoocrew
I don't think that Fortune would bump up a knock a kid out of there lineup. Do they even have another 119. I think 125 would be just as tough as 119. But you never can tell what may go on. Sectionals and Dist. is all that really matters.
  • firemans4five
I did see that Harter did not face Goebel. Though I do think it was strategic to win the dual, it would not be the first time a golden bear dodged someone. Need I bring up Sectionals last year?
  • 1_beast
yeah..the Golden Bears are terrible. They wrestle a weak schedule. They dont train hard.....but the fans are S.O.B'S...YOU JACKASSES bring nothing to the table...no wrestling jargon whatsoever.....next year, in a down year for the Bears, you will be blowing these boards up...talking about how good you are. Do yourself a favor and keep your sh!tty posts to yourself. Poor losers!!!!
  • zoocrew
Not every one is bashing the your Bears they are one heck of a team. But I was suprised that they didn't have Harter wrestle Gobal. Win or lose it would have been good for him. Next year will not be a down year for the Bears, don't start that already!
  • zoocrew
Noone will be able to beat Way. in the WCAL tourn. this year. They may or may not have the most Champs but they will have to much depth.
  • firemans4five
    Beast-
I am not bashing your beloved bears, but simply stating facts. If you read right, you would see that I said Harter not wrestling Goebel was probably strategical. In a dual, you gotta do what you gotta do. Calm down a bit. Maybe some ice cream with hohos will settle your insult hurling soul.

Give it 'em beast!! I wasn't there, but I take your as gospel Beast!
    I got your back....but you're right.....your program needs some work:rolleyes:......maybe next year....oh that's right, it's going to be a down year.:s
Fireman, stay off the Beast:@ He's one of the good guys! Get him fired up and you'll see hurling for sure......

Geeez Beast....better re-up that zoloft prescription. The way you went off, I thought someone may have teabagged your grandma or something heinous like that. I'll admit it's a little unfair to say a freshman(Stanley) doesn't wrestle well in big matches. Prodigy or not, every match is big for a 9th grader. Other than that, it just seems like a little good natured ribbing.

As far as the Fortune to 125 thing, Why? It seems to me like more points could be scored by 119-Fortune/125-Dupont as opposed to 119-Dillon/125-Fortune. Where ever he winds up and if he's healthy, I like Fortune to win county & sectionals. He and Nelson from Tuslaw would be a great sectional final at 119.

Grier seems pretty beat up this year, could be ripe for an upset by Harter. Bryan Fortune is another grappler that has been plagued by injuries and may see a once promising career end at sectionals.

Chippewa badly needs a couple people to step up and support the big 2 (Hall,Schafrath) by picking up the scoring slack. Nice freshman class, especially Srock & Eisenhour. Could be future hammers.

    Beast,
breathe deep breath breathe deep breath :)

I have a question for those of you who seem to be so worried about Harter....Did you wrestle in high school on a team the calabier of Waynedale, because if you did then you would know that the decision to wrestle or not wrestle an opponent is not left to the wrestler it is a call of the coaches and our coaches felt that the best for the team was to have Harter NOT wrestle Goebel. Harter was upset he wanted to wrestle him I know because I was on the phone with his mom when he found out he wasn't going to get to have the chance to wrestle him. Sometimes in the sport of wrestling you have to sacrifice your own wants for the betterment of the team. Harter was not happy and even went in and talked to the coaches on Monday about the decision. So, I won't sling names or cut you down but just know that when we come to county we will leave it on the mat with the ability of our boys shining and the bear fans will be there in full force being loud and proud.

Wow, I guess now we are seeing the true color's of the Waynedale folks.

My only questions is your signature. "THE BEARS HAVE "RELOADED" ?????? LOL
Don't you have to have once been loaded to have re-loaded?

Wow Last time I checked this thread had died and The Beast seems to have put a firecracker in it . Waynedale is having a great year and I hope they can gut it thru the districts and State this time and not choke on those horse pills. Sectionals will be exciting, almost every weight has very good finals match ups. I do think 125 is more or less the weakest class in our sectional. Any of the top 119's would probably win 125 even a little light. 112 is the deepest , my little nephew Dion Perez knocked off Dustin Grier at Bill Dies ,has gone OT with Harter and has basically improved every week. Spreng was over to the Man cave recently for some live with the twins and he is also looking like the favorite there but it will be a battle. A state level wrestler could actually not make it to even Districts. Zane is going 135 now . We knew he was done before he started at Firestone . He's just to big for 130 and getting the flu and losing 7lbs pounds is the wrong reason to lose a couple more and certify at 130( last time Zane wins an arguement for a while) . He looked like a zombie. Probably him and Petershime in sectional finals at 135. 140 looks wide open at our sectional with Brendon the favorite. This sectional is going to be exciting for a while with all these freshman.

Had to pinch myself Sunday. I was @ West Holmes watching a match between a Northwestern kid & a Rittman kid...in a Rittman singlet...with Rittman coaches. Warmed the cochles of my heart.

Beast: nice bait. Looks like you got the thread pumping. I know for a fact Harter would NEVER back down from a challenge. I am starting to wonder if the field will diminish the Bears enough to allow an upset bid.

How did Norwayne do @ the Dies?

Fortune can & will win sections @ 119 & will go 119. Quote me on that in a month. He's good enough, smart enough & gosh darn it.....
  • WGBplayer
I too saw the Rittman singlets and was very shocked. Someone at a tournament earlier this year said something about Rittman wanting/starting wrestling up again. (Think it was beast but I can't remember anything anymore) I didn't believe one word of it but after Sunday I am a believer now....
  • mt1514
Rittman bought a mat from Smithville this year, starting out with youth. Actually it is the same one they sold when they quit wrestling.
