Why did Harter dodge Gobal? That would have been a good test for him.
  • 1_beast
Harter wanted to wrestle Goebel, as i understand it...it was Coaches decision
  • mompov
I see Zeb is down to 152...will that stay for the season?
  • 1_beast
    Zeb will continue at 152

Beast, do you think Keyes has a chance against Siegel?
  • Smart Talker
I may not be as wise as beast but I think Keyes has a better shot at 171 than 189
  • mt1514
If Keyes would not have ran out of gas at the CIT he probably would have won his championship match. If he gets in top shape he could give anyone a run for there money.
  • FAIRLAND6
IS ANYONE GOING TO TOP GUN THIS WEEKEND
  • Smart Talker
Who all is going to the Dies this weekend I'm pretty sure Norwayne and Tuslaw anyone else?

Yeah he hit the wall in his semi with over a minute left in the third. He's still a couple weeks behind in conditioning because of his indecision on whether or not he was going to wrestle. He also needs a quality wrestling partner at practice to give him work, that would help alot. He's a light 189, at county he'll be 171.
  • THE4RINGZ
Triway is at the Bill Dies this weekend.
  • falcon81
Tuslaw , Triway and Manchester should represent the pac well. This is a solid 45 team event with some good match-ups . Zane Nelson will be at 130 for the 1 st time at this weight. This should be a good one to see where you stand.

zoocrew. I can't argue much with the WCAL contenders list till I do my research, but declaring Waynedale a huge favorite, however predicting only 3 or 4 champs is a head scratcher. I am the first guy to say depth wins county, but I can't see a decisive win.

Cheers to the Bears for their performance @ the Duals. Looks like West Jeff & the Bears had several studs line up. I see where they are a power program right now. So by season's end will there be any teams in the OHSAA that Waynedale hasn't dual'd.

Tough pill to swallow....Cuyahoga Heights(Bears beat earlier in season) upset the Roughriders of West Jeff to win the D-III State Duals Championship!
CH was aided by 2 unsportsmanlike call aagainst WJ to prevail 29-28? or 30-28. All you folks who think Waynedale is bad...lol WOW, I experienced bad today...WJ fans, wresters and coaches are definately...rough!
Honestly beast, did your expierence with West Jeff not cause you to root against them?
  • 1_beast
I'm looking at the WCAL Matchups...and Northwestern Matches up well to our weaknesses. Add the hammers from other teams..and as i stated previously..a team effort from League, as we have grown accustomed to...could very well unseat the Bears. rtherthrwyiyi gfjhb ...lol seriously..you cant find an easier name to type out...llol. I did in fact cheer against WJ...But I will tell you this...you will never see our wrestlers /coaches or fans even come close to these bumpkins...it was that bad!!!

lol as far as teams the Bears havent/will not dual by seasons end...I know of one team....Northwestern! Lmao

Keith Johnson or Chance Shalosky?, He must be pretty good though if he kept it that close to Raber

    Early Red Rum WCAL projections....

    103-Britton(Nor) is my pick, Coblentz(WD) & Hostetler(SMV) taking 2nd & 3rd. 4th to whoever earns it.

    112-If Grier(Nor) is healthy, he'll take it. Harter(WD) will challenge. Tanner(SMV) & Berry(Nwn) will place 3 & 4.

    119-Fortune(Nwn) over Burge(Nor) for title. H.Hall(Chi) & DelCiappo(DAL) consolation finalists.

125-Kurt Moore(Nor) big favorite in this class. Other podium spots are wide open for Danner(DAL), Parrot(WD), Dupont(Nwn). Full class should be fun to watch as Ramos(SMV) & Walsh(Chi) could surprise.

130-Bouman(Nor) gets nod over Widder(WD) as slight favorite. This will be a fun match to watch. I like Everett(DAL) and Adams(Nwn) for 3rd and 4th.

    135-I like Petersheim(WD) over Vogelhuber(DAL) for the title. East(Nwn) & Baumgardner(SMV) in consolation final.

140-This should be one of the best classes to watch. I'm guessing it will be full and fun. Brendan Stanley(WD) is my pick to win it. Heldenbrand takes second. Consy finalists could be any of the following.. Bramley(Chi), Johnson(DAL), Martin(SMV) and Reed(Nor).

145-Tyler Topp(Nwn) should win title. My picks for other placers in no particular order...Lewis(WD), Finley(HILL) & Lance(Chi).

152-Zeb Beam(WD) in a walkover. Black(Nwn), Hange(DAL) and Herchenroether(Chi) are my other podium picks (no particular order)

    160-Bryson Hall(Chi) huge, huge favorite. Fortune(Nwn), Torgler(DAL) & McCluggage(WD) will battle for the other 3 spots.

171-Siegel(WD) over Keyes(DAL) for the crown. Burkholder(HILL), Shook(Chi) and Hilty(SMV) will all tussle to see who makes consy final.

189-Marquee Match in championship- J.Beam(WD)-Schaeffer(Nwn). Winner will probably get MVW award. Badertscher(HILL) & Eisenhour(Chi) are my picks for 3 and 4.

215-Justin Schafrath(Chi) big favorite. Mullins(WD) and Wiley(SMV) will be 2 and 3. Final spot up for grabs.

    HWT-Richards(Nor) gets my nod as favorite. Gove(WD), Neuendorf(Nwn) & Kelbly(SMV) my picks for 2-4. Srock(Chi) could surprise.

Team-Waynedale will 4-peat by 20 pts. Northwestern, Norwayne & Chippewa round out top 4.

All picks are subject to change as I probably forgot someone or have them in the wrong class.

Abou what i had in mind...securing my idea that its not going to be easy. Some very solid match-ups. The boys better be ready to wrestle

Chippewa is there as well which should be interesting for both Hall and Shaffrath as nobody has even given them very much contest this year. As for the rest of the team it should be a good experience lol.
Its looking like 171 may become the deepest group at sectionals with all our county guys plus Remenerick, maybe Raber, Keyes dropping and whoever Loudonville has.Other than Beam and Schaffer at 189 and Hall and maybe Raber at 160 there isn't much at those weights ,its starting to look like the easiest path to district is going to be either up or down...
Rum don't forget about Fortune Nwn. at 171 should be in the mix as long as he's healthy.
  • mt1514
Fortune has been wretling 160 lately
