rtherthrwyathnknwyaWow. I take off Friday and don't check back in till Monday and the page blows up. Falcon, Nelsons this is horribly tragic. Think of it this way, if this happened to a family without sufficient resources to fight and defense cost what lawyers cost then=tragedy. Senseless $$ being handed to the legal system to right injustice is a tragedy. This is taking away from our "party @ the Old Jaol 2011" fund. I hate to out myself, however being a husky fan if I find out that one of our own did what's alleged I will personally be insulted and as they say police you're own. I want to beat you on the mat, not/never in the courts. Thoughts & prayers.
Another tragedy is the obvious humor that could be had from all this. Great jokes like "Looks like the Bears found out Full Nelsons ARE illegal." Oouwwww. That guy from CSI puts his glasses on. The Who starts playing.
Kudos to the Bears for wrestling lights out @ home. Looks like the Bears had some guys step up and fill the holes. Harter I saw bumped up and had success. Something like this can rattle an entire team. That goes for wrestlers & coaches. Great job.
The hwyt for Smithville is a scary looking human being. Looks alot like the hwyt from Oberlin a few years ago that wrestled Morosko form Tuslaw. Just a mountain of a man. The smithies have some real good guys. Just a note though. Wash those fancy singlets. I though I was seeing things till I bumped the guy next too me and he saw it too. White singlet bottoms+boys=bad idea. Just saying. Resolve, stain stick, woollite.
The huskies looked like they hand picked the teams for success. Rootstown, Wellington and Coshocton (sp?) are solid schools and brought several quality guys, but seemed like everything went the way of the dogs. They won every close match and really preformed well. Especially you Tyler Berry! Once we finally got all that Bear jello out of your system, you've started coming around. -

Well thanks! Reiterate one more time if some one from Husky land is or was involved that is no reflection in any way as far as I'am concerned of a great school like Nothwestern. My sons will not hold grudge nor will I in any way. I am sure if its true Husky fans will deal with it themselves just like the Smithville community shunned their coach when they found out it was him that attempted to ruin a young girls career. Times have been tough finically because of the last 3 months but yes what a horrible situation this would be for a family with no resources in the same situation, They would simply be screwed by the system....sad state of affairs.rtherthrwyathnknwya;650224 wrote:Wow. Clever GuyCaution! I have nothing to gain or lose from whatever outcome is realized... I couldn't possibly know the whole truth form either side (assuming there are opposed sides here). But I will offer my opinion, perhaps pose questions, and hopefully understand better for myself. First, I hope the young Nelson's can compete. There are however, conflicting opinions about "transferring", overly involved parents who don't get they're way, and the consequences of behavior in general. This is all very ugly... Falcon, I don't know what happened with the paperwork, but it seems to me, you would be quite familiar with the process by now. Also, for all the seemingly malicious reasons you left Tuslaw this time, you've left there before, and returned, and left, and returned. Why? Is there a secret "Annual Nelson Lottery"? Of course I'm kidding, but you must understand how this looks to others... Also, I sense quite a few people rooting against you, others, not rooting against you so much as rooting for the system and it's black & white rules. You, it seems, are the center of the attention, the target. Not the boys. The only "tragedy" I can find in this is, your actions have apparently incurred enemies. The boys may indeed be punished for them. Do you feel, from an end-game prospective, any responsibility for all this? Just wondering! Remember: The louder one speaks, the bigger the audience. All of this has been far to public for my taste. It will culminate with a very public result. My two bits at this point are: I've never seen the transfer of a student athlete ever be the result of anything more then a parent not getting their way or having enough power/control at one school/program so they simply change schools. That's pretty sad. I can assure you, at this point most people feel like that's why we're here once again. I feel you should be made aware of that point. No one else has seemed to bring it up... Good luck.

falcon81Clever Guy, Good post. Fair. Wrong. People should not shut up when injustice occurs just to stay popular. One should not seek popularity as a motive to fight or not fight for what is good. Parents should not sit by and do nothing about unprofessional behavior for the sake of just getting along. You nuts if you believe the teachers unions and the tenure system is looking out for your family. Besides for every one nut job hater I have picked up as a fan I have gained 9 friends and am now net-worked with a large percentage of coaches and athletes across the state and country. I have still not had one single hater ID themselves ever but know hundreds of posters that have ID'd themselves that do support my kind of Values! My son's have great supporters and friends like Bobby Douglas, Mike Pucillo, Dustin and Cp Schlatter, David Taylor, Doc Bennettt, Steve Luke, almost every coach in the area has been here in the last year alone! A over whelming Waynedale community, team and coaching staff that surpasses any thing we could have imagined. A 28 year Marriage and 7 great kids. ....... Clever Guy has it occurred that with friends like these who cares if your popular with the do nothing hide and seek crowd..
Clever guy we did not create controversy at Perry. Read up on it. We were not evolved in stealing the simi truck trailer. 'The choke out", the mis handling of funds debacle, None of it . We left because of their problems not ours. We did nothing wrong and were never accused of any thing. 4 other starters also left that mess...one third of the team. Let that poor horse lie , its been beat enough. And there was zero problems transferring BTW from that mess. Happy ending Cory won a State Title and went on to University AA in Greco and started on a division 1 team. All Good. The twins situation will also have a happy ending.
You see we do well because we are fighters not because we are not fighters. Its tuff fighting for what is right . It is easy being popular and doing nothing ..... Good luck Clever Guy on your way of thinking my family and I will stick to what works for us.
Integrity- Doing the right thing when the wrong thing would be more convenient and easy. Its what fighters do.
Clever Guy I noticed this was your 1st post ever. Interesting first post ever. Where are you from? You seem to know much. If you are sincere in your opinions and seem to know only enough to put bad light on our past. Please call me directly maybe you could be of assistance or I could clear some confusion for you directly , you seem like a guy the wants to be in the Know 330-268-2835. Introduce your self. Its always nice to make new friends after all, popularity rules. Especially a Mustang! -
rtherthrwyathnknwyaCantrell lost to a good looking kid from I think wellington. The score was closer than the match. I'm wondering if he's just having a bad year...but he does have a great tattoo of his name across his back. I would be surprised to see him on the podium again if he continues to perform like he did Saturday. I'm wondering about injury, tough cut, who knows?
-
falcon81Its a shame but now the entire story will have to be told about what the "Health and Safety " issues were that caused this entire mess. Probably individual law suits on those responsible for the string of events that led to the tens of thousands of dollars, mental anguish, malice, slander, child endangerment, legal fee's and the list goes on. Watch what you ask for , you may have just got it. A shame for everyone! Let sleeping dogs lie , this is one pit bull that will protect and serve.
-
1_beastInteresting news on Cantrell, he started the season at 119 then bumped to 125. He was manhandled (pinned) by Scherer (Riverview) in the Stitchco Finals. Scherer is a very solid kid though and if he can get out of his brutal district, he should make teh podium again this year. (7th last year)

wrestlersdadFalcon81 you will just have to go for broke and give the idiots what they asked for, LOL. The sad part is that there is and always will be some innocent and collateral damage, but in the end, you have to do what's right to better and to protect you and your family. Nobody with any kind of common sense can hold against you for wanting better for your children, and to give them a better opportunity. I think deep down here everyone that is a parent would do the same for their child ultimately. You have those that are not fortunate enough to do it, so they have a few different reactions, they congratulate you and your boys because they are grown and mature about it and realize they would do the same, then you have the negative jealous haters, that for whatever reason they don't do it or are not able to do it. Deep down majority of them would do the same if put in a similar situation, but instead of making the extra sacrifices, it is easier for them to condemn you than to do the extra work themselves. You have my support my friend, I really hope to get out to your place in the off season with my son. Take care and stand strong in the fight. Is there any way to take an angry mob to Columbus and storm the OHSAA like our soldiers did storming the beaches of Normandy, LOL, as I too am a veteran.
-
1_beastI have heard tell of a so called "Hillbilly Mafia" with roots in the appalachians and now extending to the Ozarks. I can only hope these crazy hillbiillies dont unleash on the perpetrators!!!
-
falcon81Well if we lose , we win. if we win we win. If the OHSAA does not make this witch hunt on semantics and inaccurate info they will be weakened as a organization and are already losing the confidence of many . We will get over whelming public publicity and hopefully stop this string of harassment coming from the OHSAA like on the young lady basketball family and the twins. had a nice talk with her mom yesterday and she shared a little of her nightmare . This really needs to stop.

Funny Beast. The Nelson Clan of the most high hillbilly nation in the heart of the Sw Missouri Ozarks are up in arms that their moved out of the nest clan has been dishonored and are on their way in the "Next of Kin "school bus! If you were not bred and born there you wouldn't understand! Guns and Knives are checked at the door at every Nelson Family reunion" LOL Born in Stone county crazy Missouri! Trust me ...The hills do have eyes and make these Mustangs look like sally's. Why do you think Waynedale was a heavenly choice!!! -
wrestlersdadCan I ride in the bus with the snakes, that would be awesome, LOL.

Pin emDo not know if this is an old song or not but I just found it. It is called "THE REALEST SPORT" if is written by two NCAA D1 wrestlers turned musicians. I am not saying it is going to be top 100 on the billboards but it is cool that there is a song about wrestling. Check it out it is pretty cool!

Clever GuyWell, thanks! haha I'll take a Medium "Team Nelson" Tee Just kidding! Really, I just need to get more posts to use the site entirely. I gotcha beast We've spoken before. We will again... Promise. Just wasted 20 mins on a reply that can't be sent. Yet. Important note: We sure do love our wrestling 'round here. It means a great personal deal to all of us! Events like this are always so ugly. It get's way outta control and many get hurt. At this point, who wants to win a league title at the twins weights if they can't compete? Now we've effected every school in our county league negatively. Would be nice for a positive outlook heading into our "Family Feud" WCAL Championship. I think that's something everyone can agree with.
-
wrestlersdadMost definitely. Now you have tainted individual titles that will always be a questions or doubt, they weren't really the best, just got 1st by a technicality or witch hunt tactics that they were not even a part of. And lest not forget the always coveted, sometimes disputed, often referred to, and always talked about race for the team title. Really a highlight of the season in Wayne County, now has just lost some of its glimmer and spectacular meaning. Will there be a title with a * in front of it, or doubt surrounding it? Only time will tell, but in my opinion they should be allowed to wrestle. Things like this trickle through and affect not just those involved, but many indirectly involved as well.
-
falcon81In all my post I always Stated we were very excited to be part of Waynedale and the great Wayne county community. I always admired the grass roots support and rivalries between these schools from a distance before we came. The best news paper coverage any where in the state. Please if the twins don't wrestle in league do not take away the value of those titles that other Kids win at the the twins weights or I will be taking something from a kid the same way my kids have been stripped of the pride and hard work they gave. We will support this league meet and ALL the kids who win titles at all weight classes even if we are shut down and banished by the State. Do not let what the state is doing to us splinter this county...Please. I would ask for everyones support in return and please help me keep my sons spirits up ....Their dreams have been squashed and the endless hours of dedication and love of a sport have dealt them harsh hands. They have both fell very ill, Zane yesterday , Zack today, The stress of this is very hard on them , not surprised to see two boys who have never missed a match due to injury or sickness feeling very physically ill. Stress kills.
-
republicSupport from outside Wayne County, all the way from Summit County, hold in strong, remember they can't take away the other wrestling the twins love to compete in, the freestyle and greco. It is tough when your on the sidelines, our situations have always been due to injury, I can't imagine being stripped to compete due to misunderstandings in residency/paperwork. Hope this all gets resolved timely..

1_beastBears travel to Mapleton to wrestle a tri with Mapleton and Wooster Weds night (tomorrow)...hopefully we can get a few more wins. Beam/ Cantanzarite looks to be a good one, with Beam 36-0 and Cantanarite with only 1 loss on the year.
Bears are looking at a solid field traveling to Elmwood for the Elmwood Duals....#1 ranked Goeble at 119, and returning placer Lee at 125 for Elmwood look to be a few of the good matchups. Hopefully The Bears can defend their Title!
Northwestern is at the always tough Sandusky St Marys Duals where they will be seeing the like of West Jefferson and Archbold along with 15? other Schools....
Some good wrasslin this week leading up to The Show -
THE4RINGZWaynedale v. Wooster will be a nice match for the Generals. The program is improving by leaps and bounds, going against one of the areas best squads will be a nice measuring stick
-
Jmar25So my question is this... How ugly is county going to be if the nelsons are wrestling (like they should be allowed to do) at hillsdale? Is there enough room to handle the ticket demand. I can see a need for an extra deputy or two for a normal controversy filled meet but will this one take the cake? I remember how hateful the crowd was against the bears in the year of the mag 7. (booing waynedale wins, cheering loses) how will they be treated this year? Can northwestern take back the title. Will the dominance of the big two continue or will norwayne sneak in the top 2... Maybe the chippewa chipps? I have goosebumps already thinking about the atmosphere. I really wish I would be able to attend this year. This could be the craziest, biggest, loudest wcal yet! Just a few weeks away... Any new predictions?
