Tribe takes the option on Kluber and decline the option on Kipnis. Tribe also released Salazar,Olson,AJ Cole and Cody Anderson as they declined being included on the minor league roster.

Tribe needs help, but not sure where they get it. Doubtful they spend for anyone, which means dealing another pitcher for a bat. Twins should see some regression, so I think the division is still up for grabs (and amazingly the Tribe had their best season during this run), but to really compete they need to go after someone hard.

Gonna throw some things out there.
Would like to see them resign Puig. OF needs to be addressed. I like Mercado and Naquin and Puig would help in case Zimmer and Allen and Bauer can't produce. Don't want to start the year like they did last year with no OF bats.
Go after Moustakas at 3rd base then you can move JRam back to 2nd base. If you don't do that then go after Schoop or Castro at 2nd base
Discuss.

I say we try and trade for Betts. Go all in for 1 year. If it fails, trade Lindor and start the rebuild lol.

Not actually... but I would get very excited for the upcoming year if they actually did.

Need a corner OF bat.  Puig will regress.  Dolan too cheap for Castellanos or Ozuna.  They will wait to see if the market falls for Dickerson, end up with a 38 year old like Pence who they will designate for assignment in week 9 of the season.

May not be popular as I was in agreement (with Laley) that they should've moved Kluber last year but I think they should do the same with Lindor this year. Trade him to the NL.

When they trade Lindor is when my interest in the organization will drop.

I get that because he's a stud but if anyone thinks they are keeping him, they are in La La Land. Right now is where he'd have his highest value. They could get a real nice haul from a team like the Dodgers but I wouldn't trade him to the Yankees.

I'd like to see Mercado learn to play left field starting right now. Outstanding defense, doesn't have a CF's arm.

End of rant.

If you guys can’t take Mercado’s arm, you definitely don’t want Ozuna

Got Sandy Leon from BoSox in trade for a low level minor league pitcher. Tribe has 4 Catchers on the 40 man right now.

Dumped Goody a couple of weeks back, he'said already signed on with another team.....I don't recall.

Just non tendered Plawecki, down to 3 catchers.

I can’t say I cared for Plawecki, but I’m not sure Leon worth a minor league pitching prospect.

I would like to see the Tribe go all in for 1 year....

Moose goes to the Reds....4 yr/64 mil...so much for the move that made the most sense.

Same. I know with some of the moves they’ve made, the window has been somewhat extended. But realistically, next year is it. Just go all in and then trade ‘em all like the Marlins.

Might as well.

But it won’t happen. They’ll make a few small moves and do the status quo.

And then the wheels fall off.

The worst part is, I see everyone in the AL as beatable next year. Houston is going to take a step back without Cole, and presumably Verlander won’t be as good. Will also be interesting to see what their hitters look like without any assistance (still great,  it maybe not 3 MVP caliber guys on one team).

Yankees and Boston will be Yankees and Boston. Tough, but not unbeatable the way Houston was last few years. It’s more wide open next season, in theory, yet we will stay where we are and be damn good but probably not good enough.

Wow.

Actually don’t mind. Hopefully we got some good return on this.

My problem with Kluber was that he was an uber Charles Nagy. Racked up a lot of wins, but when it came to a game we really needed, not there.

And we get DeShields and Clase.

I don't like this trade at all.

That return is putrid. Classe is a really nice piece but still a reliever. DeShields is just another 4th OFer...so I guess he’ll fit right in with our other 5.

What? He was unhittable in 2016 until we made him throw like 900 pitches in 1 postseason and he finally cracked in game 7 (and still wasn’t awful).

2017 would’ve been nice to have him healthy, and not trying to pitch through the oblique injury.

2018 was bad, but who knows how good he actually was with the cheating Astros.
