They both want it to get done, but I doubt its actually possible. So in that respect, I guess they are negotiating.

I hope that Lindor stays, but I am skeptical. The Indians have offered him more money than he can spend in a lifetime. If he truly wants to stay, sign the contract.

I'd have no issue with a 3 or 4 year contract but I don't want them getting hamstrung, long-term, by a 10-12 year deal. If they can't do a shorter deal, I could see the Tribe putting together a low ball/good faith type of package to say "we tried."

And Carrasco hobbles into the clubhouse on a crutch experiencing "discomfort" in his right leg this morning.

I don’t see Carrasco coming back and being effective.

Hoping it's not the case but have heard speculation that this latest setback could be due to a return of his issue last year.

Shame that he couldn't get healthy, I really enjoyed him in Cleveland.

He spent his entire career with the Tribe... never having an official major league AB with the Pirates.

One of my co-owners of our company is out at Spring Training taking in today's game.

A little surprised, but not shocked, that the Tribe's home opener is still not sold out. Over the past 4-5 years the longest it took to sell out was an hour.
