It’s been great, imo. I feel like MJ is really being honest about things. I think some of what he says is embellished a little, but still pretty honest.

Its been very well made and Ive enjoyed every second. I can still be disappointed.

People have been talking this up for over a decade about the days and days worth of footage the crew got during 1998. Yet, we have seen probably less than an hour of it. With 4 to go, we still have to go through Seattle, Jazz 1 before only thing left is 1998. I dont know how much they are going to show, but for the hype about that footage, its been really minuscule. Did we really need an entire Rodman episode? Did we need the Bad Boys 30 for 30 inter-spliced in this? I would take more security guard gambling and locker room cigars and golf course hangouts 100 times out of 100 than have them re-hash the Pistons walking off the court again. 

I loved the Dream Team episode, because I love the Dream Team and episode 6 was much better than 1-5 on the 1998 stuff. But it is still really lacking for the amount they have.

For a lot on here, it would be like someone filming the Cavs/LeBron for all of 2015-16. Everyone knows its being filmed. But then LeBron says the footage wont come out. Then 10 years later he grants the rights to interview people about it all. Some stuff leaks, and the hype grows. Then he grants the rights for the documentary to be finalized. Then finally, after saying it wont be, he allows it to all be released. 

We are all insanely hyped for it, and then they make us sit through an episode focusing on his HS years, then his first 4 in Cleveland. Then an entire episode on the Decision. Then an Olympics episode. And then the Warriors beating them. Then maybe for the last 4 we get the behind the scenes stuff we didnt witness in real time. The locker-room talks during the finals. The dinners they went on as a team. The drive that LeBron took with his wife back through his old neighboorhood. All that shit. 

This is mostly great for the interviews thus far. Because we are getting some answers and some honesty from a lot of people who never talked before. But man, I could sit there and watch Jordan in the lockerroom for an entire episode chatting with his teammates pre-game, halftime, post-game. I didnt need his UNC stuff in there, or Pistons, or Rodman, or even the Krause tearing it all down stuff. All that could've been mentioned and given 10-15 minutes on.

This is all probably true and fair. Jordan and Reggie were who I emmulated as a kid playing. It made me go back and watch all his old games that my dad has taped of Jordan. It wasnt all of it, but like 9 UNC games, some random regular season stuff and than all the Pistons games, and almost all the playoff games. I was old enough to watch the second three-peat live and was engrossed. Almost got expelled for leaving a campsite in Northern Michigan during a school trip to bike into town and catch the Pacers-Bulls Game 1 in 1998 lol.

I love the show. But I do wish it was in chronological order. My wife is half watching and asks too many questions. I was born in 86 and her in 88 so she remembers nothing, whereas I grew up idolizing Jordan, and still do. Lol I love that Jordan wanted to destroy any player Krause liked. 

I vaguely remember him at UNC and greatly remember the ridiculous surge of Air Jordan in the mid-late 80’s. It was nuts. I’m maybe the near perfect age to enjoy this.

I did like his final game (he thought) in MSG and he broke out his originals and they murdered his feet.....but still went big wearing them

I stumbled upon someone on Twitter (Jane McManus, New York Daily News sports) complaining there was no mentioning of his ex-wife and kids. Because that's what people are tuning in to learn about! She came off as being nosey and wondering what kind of husband/dad he was (or wasn't). 

I've enjoyed it so far. I feel like I'm good on anymore of the Rodman/Bad Boy Pistons stuff but that 30 for 30 from a couple years ago already covered a lot of it. I didn't know about all the '92 Olympics stuff between them and Kukoc so that was interesting.

Isiah and Magic also were the leaders behind the freeze out of Jordan during the all-star game his rookie year. They were jealous of the attention and shoe contract that Jordan had, so the veterans got together and decided not to pass him the ball.

Impossible to imagine

I loved every minute of parts 7 and 8. 93-98 was peak NBA for me growing up. I did forget how insane it was when Jordan retired the first time, I knew it was big, but didn't realize it was that big. I also knew he didn't suck in baseball, but the comments Tito made were interesting. I wonder if there was not a lockout in 94, would Jordan make the majors and not just sat around and come back in 95 to the NBA? 

I thought they just glossed over how good that 1994-95 Magic team was and really fun to watch. That Magic team was probably one of my favorite teams to watch growing up. 

Also, there needed to be way more footage of those games when Jordan was filming Space Jam. Those looked like epic games. 

I am really looking forward to the footage of the 98 series with the Pacers. I still remember a lot of those games and thought it was one of the best tests the Bulls ever had in their dynasty run.

Hadn’t played in 14 years but AA is a bit away but I bet in 2 more years he would’ve at worst got a call up. We’ll never know.

Bill Simmons said the same thing in his podcast today but apparently that’s all the footage there is. They only filmed those few moments. I’m kinda surprised more guys - like Reggie Miller especially - came out to play with Jordan. But maybe they didn’t realize he was using it for scouting purposes.

I laughed at this too.  A lot of MJ dick sucking in this documentary, which was expected since MJ controls the footage and has final say on the documentary, but pretending batting .202 is impressive for an outfielder is laughable at best. 

Episodes 7 and 8 were the best so far.  It was nice to finally see footage of MJ being an asshole to his teammates.  I was surprised to see him get emotional to the fact that people think he is an asshole lol.

The only thing impressive about hitting .200 at AA is the fact he had not played baseball in 13 plus years.

That is the impressive part.   

About MJ being an asshole to teammates in season.    I believe the ends justify the means. I remember we had  a baseball coach, an assistant, who was present probably 90% of the time (due to college, work).  When we saw him pull up and it was UGH, this practice just got real.

When you look back, he was T H E reason we were as good as we were.    Its like the whole parents thing, you hate it when they are so tough on you growing up, but when you get old you realize it was all worth it and justified.

I find myself on Sunday afternoon's looking forward to this like I do a great Sunday Night Football game

How it took that long for pitchers to catch on!   I would think that would be the first thing I would try to get him out.

Unless pitchers just assumed there was no way he could hit so just went with the heater.

Rodman loved himself a pair of pajama pants.

A+ documentary. Disappointed Malone didn’t want to come on it but I know he went underground after his career so not surprised there. I’ll appreciate the side stuff this documentary brought like about Steve Kerr’s father. Never knew any of that.
