The announcers for that Japan/Columbia game were terrible in their commentary. This was the first time EVER that an Asian team beat a South American team in the World Cup...and they didn't mention that once. They said multiple times that Japan didn't play that well. And said that Columbia played well for being down 10 men.
They might as well been two drunk Columbia fans on FOX announcing that game.

I watched the entire scoreless first half of Russia - Egypt. Fell asleep at halftime and woke up around minute 80 and it was 3-1. Because of course.

I like Jorge actually. Telling it like he was sitting on the couch next to you. In fact, I like all the PxP guys. Rae, Perez-Navarro, Dellacamera (always a legend for his US-Portugal call) and Strong.

“Best player in the world”, Higuain, Di Maria, aguero, Macherano, Rojo...they have loads of talent. Not sure why they are playing this poorly, but I don’t think it’s from lack of talent or player selection.

They have been criticized for four years for player selection, cohesion and formation. Messi starts in a new position every match. They play different players every match. Higuain shouldn’t have been on this squad. Pavon not starting is a disgrace. They started like 5 new players from game 1.
Mans Mascherano plays in GD China lol. The fact he is probably their best CB...but they have ZERO midfield so he has to play there, is pathetic for a country like that.
Its like everyone is forgetting Messi was Player of the Tournament 4 years ago. But yeah, he has been really bad outside the last 20 minutes game 1.

Should’ve been canned last summer when a bad Spain lineup whooped them 6-1. Argentina have been really bad for 2 years now, but he somehow keeps surviving.
In Laley's defense, Argentina as a team is not as strong for whatever reason. They have talent, but they barely made it to the WC. They had to win their last game, which they were down 1-0 at Ecudaor and then Messi exploded for a hat trick. If I recall correctly, they might have needed some help too.
Will Messi give the WC one more go in 4 years, or is this it? What a terrible way to go out if so. It kinda reminds me of Zidane getting spanked the WC after winning the previous WC. The only difference is Zidane actually won the WC, and then had one last hurrah on the international stage 4 years after being spanked.

Yes, but other things need to happen. The next game is huge for this group and their chances. If Iceland wins they most likely fucked, but still a slim chance they could go.
