Yes, good work

I've heard a few accounts of him and the Bobs from my grandpa, who's been an Indians fan since the Great Depression.

I was at a game in the 60’s that had Early Wynn going for his 300th win.

That would have been awesome.  He got exactly 300, right?

Question #56

There is only one Hall of Fame pitcher to have given up more than 280 home runs on his career despite playing fewer than 16 seasons.

Who is he?

EDIT: His whole career is post-1950.

Went 16 seasons and only gave up 236 bombs.  Not a bad guess, though.

I'll add a time-frame, just to make sure nobody thinks it's from WW1 era.

Yes, but it wasn’t the game I was at.

TBD on the HOF, but Josh Tomlin should have the 280 down by now.

Played 16 seasons.  Also only 228 bombs given up.

Lornberg?

Bunning fits the HR mark, but he's played 17 seasons.

Lornberg?

Not in the Hall.  Didn't give up enough HRs.  He is under 16 years, though (14).

Yeah, he went 18 years.  Did give up a lot of homers, though.

I don’t know a lot of guys around 16 years of that era....I feel 60’s bad guess with high mound and low HR

Marichal, Drysdale....I don’t know

Drysdale was actually the guy I used as the cutoff.  Exactly 16 years and exactly 280 HRs.

Marichal fits the HR number (320), but he pitched a full 16 years as well.

Those were probably the best two guesses other than the correct one.

Marichal was in the right era, though.

Question #57:

Only four HOF players who ENDED their careers after 1990 finished with 600+ doubles.

Can you name them?

Mudcat? I don’t even think these guesses are in the HOF. Just throwing pitchers of the era I know lol
